The staff here were so nice and saved us because we were staring at the karaoke remote was not in english. They came over and showed us how everything worked and were super patient about it too. The acoustics were actually soooo good! didnt have a problem finding anything and their song selection is crazy updated. They already had "Drop Dead" by Olivia Rodrigo and I feel like that song literally just came out a month or so ago? Went on a Tuesday night for our Galentines and had a super fun time. There's a wide range of song languages including Korean, Vietnamese and more. The system is fully in Korean so if you can't read Korean pay attention to the worker's explanation at the beginning. They did mention we could connect to YouTube and pull up karaoke songs but we didn't try that method. Our favorite food item was the soy chicken wings. We did have an issue with the A/C in room 14 not working but we were allowed to leave the door open and the workers constantly checked on us to try to troubleshoot. This place is the only place I like to karaoke at!! Upon entering the security guard Dee checks your ID. He is always super kind and helpful, Funny and cool to talk to! We made a reservation for 6 on a weekend and had no issues with booking. We arrived on time and were promptly showed to our room. The room was spacious and CLEAN. The entire place is always so clean. We ordered drinks, mozzarella sticks and fries. Food was good and came out quick. The service is always amazing and quick. There is a button in the room where you can call the server and we never waited more than a minute before a server coming in to check on us. I did already leave a review while I was there but it has been a few days and it got so much worse. They charged us like an extra $200. The staff was downright INCOMPETENT. The white staff member, his name is JD, was noticeably drunk and my husband watched him drink while on the shift which clearly contributed heavily to our very poor service. Best we got was a free extra hour but they made it so confusing cuz they tried to make it seem like we booked two hours and got 3 but we booked 3 hours and were supposed to get the 4th free for their incompetence. They really messed up our time there. Our total SHOULD HAVE BEEN around $550. They charged us over $700 and I'm still not really sure why unless they're charging $50 a drink! Not only was the front desk empty when we arrived before our time window, The person who helped us out (JD?) messed up our entire order, couldn't read an ID correctly , then tried to gaslight us into thinking what he offered us wasn't offered at all when we had it all written down on a receipt. I've been to several noraebang/karaoke places, but this was the first time I ordered Korean food at one. I was pleased at the food offerings, and I remember being particular satisfied with the bulgogi fries. I will also say that I did not come here to eat but rather to sing, so don't expect high class dining here. It's definitely a more casual karaoke room type of establishment, with the usual good service in helping us get set up. We definitely had fun singing to our heart's content. The biggest learning curve when it comes to these karaoke rooms is being able to manipulate the remote control, especially when entering your song choices. This was my first karaoke experience and it did not disappoint. A friend booked the largest room and I believe it cost $65 per hour with a $300 minimum spend. We were originally going to be a party of 12 so this did not seem outrageous. There's a parking garage in the area but as my friends and I took a party bus I can't say I know how much the cost of it was or if the complex validated it. As far as lounges go, this is a very well-kept and beautiful space that uses the black orchid scent that's also found at the crystals shop at aria. We ordered a bottle of Malibu for an exorbitant amount to meet the $300 minimum along with tteokbokki, mozzarella sticks, Buffalo wings, and a potato sampler medley of tater tots, fries, etc. The ambiance was great and it had a fairly decent song selection in various languages. +Parking: Parking structure, park anywhere. This place gets super packed on Saturday's. +Atmosphere: Located in The Source (OC), which is a nice plaza overall. The plaza has a variety of different restaurants/bars. This one for example, has a bar area where you can wait for your karaoke room. It is a bit upper scale for OC, which was very nice & we had a Happy Birthday sign. The karaoke system overall was a bit outdated along with the songs, but apparently they can add YouTube on some rooms. I would ask your server beforehand. We asked in an XL room that did not have the YouTube option. They also have disco lights, tambourines that light up when you hit them, & covers for the mics. My coworkers husband saw another coworker, which looked like were able to stay past a reserved time. I'm not sure why & maybe I'll ask them later, but they were next door. We had room 13 & theirs was room 14. Also, 21+ only after 9pm. +Song Choices: The system is vastly outdated. I have been to another place in Buena Park that had a better system. You have to queue the songs beforehand if you want to continuously sing, unless you want to stop every time. They do give you your score @ the end, but there were no modern songs. Maybe like 90's songs, so maybe opt for a YouTube connected spot, which I heard was rare ie. 3 spots. It was nice they had a Korean to English button. +Food: Most items were a hit or miss. Definitely more on the non-traditional flavor profile. 1. Bolgogi pizza - was the best item on the list. Nicely flavored, but did not have a lot of meat. The crust was thinly hand tossed. 2. Fruit plate- well, you can't really mess this item up, but the items were fresh and sweet. Oranges, bananas, watermelon, tomatoes, etc. 3. Fries & more fries- the fries/ tater tot mix was also decently flavored. Would get this item. 4. Mozzarella sticks - my BF said this item was just okay. Large block of cheese, but not crispy. 5. Buffalo Wings - May decide on different flavors, but the breading was weird & nobody really ate this item. 6. Calamari was an L. The breading was uneven, but there was a good amount of squid. Opps. ;p Unfortunately, I didn't catch the Asian guys name who also brought us our free dessert. *Take Note* If you only reserved 2 hours on a Saturday & spend $1K+ in food and drinks, they will still kick you out. We were told we could extend our time past the reserved time over the phone, but none of the staff asked if we wanted to extend pass the reserved time. It was also rude of the staff to just turn on the lights & tell us someone else reserved the room while we were still singing. They gave us boxes & started cleaning up while we were still in the room. I think that was very unprofessional of the team/staff. I knew it was 9-9:30pm (our time to clean up & I even asked my group if we wanted to stay), but a heads up would have been nice. We were celebrating a birthday and ordering a ton of food & drinks.. and we were planning to extend/stay. I don't really understand why you wouldn't want a guaranteed customer base & it's as simple as asking rather than an okay, we reserved another $1K extra vs. $500 min food and drink + $80 hourly rate, when we would have extended the extra 2+ hours. This was the first establishment that did not ask us if we wanted to extend our time; although, they did tell us we could wait an hour for another room. Anyway, I would have wanted to come back and book, since it's in the middle of OC & LA, but now I will reconsider. Thank you for your hospitality, except for the bad taste at the end. Checked out this place for the first time and had a good time. They open at 3pm Saturday and Sunday and after 9pm, no kids will be allowed. We went about 4 and got a small room for 2 hours and ordered some beer and a fruit plater (the food plater was 30 bucks but it's huge and quality was decent for a karaoke place); they offer other appetizers and Korea snacks as well. The system to choose different country songs could be a little pain though. We mainly sing English but wanted to find some k pop songs to sing but you will need to type in Korean in order to find the songs or artists; I just use google to find the characters of the artists and typed in but it took time since I am not a Korean speaker. DO NOT GO HERE. I reserved a large room and they were very unaccommodating about editing the reservation. I did miss the window to edit the details, but it is unfortunate that with the business model they have in place, they are okay with making a group of 7 people spend a minimum of $300, not including the amount to book the room. I understand that rules can be necessary to create guidelines for cancellations, but for customers who are still willing to attend and pay, it is terrible to make them have to cough up unnecessary money just for formalities, because we DID see an available, smaller room online to book. We were just not allowed to switch to it without having to still buy $300 worth of their items. In addition, THEY TOOK US TO THE ROOM 10 minutes before our appointment time because we were all present, and as I was checking out, the staff member CONFIDENTLY says, "Okay so, that's going to be for 2 hours and 10 minutes." I asked, "Um, we came out right on time..." to which he responded with ATTITUDE, "You actually started 15 minutes early and we're only charging you for an extra 10." And idgaf if this is a Yelp review but bitch you're the one who took us back there early!!! We didn't ask to go in you dumbass! This business is so cheap and the fact that they're willing to charge their customers down to 10-minute windows of use is so desperate. On top of all that, we had 2 different staff members helping us in our rooms and they were both also rude. Not that this matters, but I'm also Korean and they're Korean, so they're not being mean because they're racist or anything. They're probably just that shitty to everyone. I came across EKO during my search for local karaoke lounges to host a birthday. I visited the location and appreciated the free parking structure and ambiance of the lounge. Since we were a group of 17, I booked an XL room and ended up getting upgraded to the VIP room at no additional cost. We were able to use YouTube and had to connect from our phone. The staff assisted in setting it up and they provided charging cables. FYI, it doesn't hurt to sign up for the free trial of YouTube premium to avoid ads. The rooms have a call button you can use to order food and drinks. This is great so no one has to leave the room. Their restrooms are clean and easily accessible. Although their menu doesn't list cocktails, you are able to order cocktails and most we ordered ranged from $15-19/drink. Cost can vary depending on the liquor. The food was great and all of the guests enjoyed their time. When we reserved online we noted we were celebrating a birthday so they placed a lit marquee letter happy birthday sign. Clean, spacious rooms with great modern song selection for karaoke located at The Source mall. It's on the second floor! If you prefer legit lighting with tambourines and all, this is your place! They have a lot of recent Kpop songs if you're into that as well. It is pricier than some places but the rooms are comfy with good AC and button for service. If you have a reservation, note there's a minimum drink or food order per person. They take walk-ins too! If you're looking for soju, this is NOT the place as they do not serve soju here. Maybe I had high expectations for this place since it was newer but nothing about this place was new. We had the room next to the restroom (#16?) and first off, we found stains on the sofa. The remote had crumbs under the silicone. The song book felt sticky inside and had black stains on the couple pages in the back. Even the bathroom seat had stains on them. It was also weird that the karaoke screen was completely black and only showed the lyrics when singing (I'm used to having some background). Lastly, soda was so expensive and you don't even get the whole can but a small 9oz cup. It wasn't packed on a Friday night either and the staff were standing around in the front. This place is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND SCAMMY. I was a guest for a 21st birthday party and the guy who served us the entire time was clearly inebriated. He took a while to take our order and continued to get it wrong, we tried to correct him several times and he acted as if he wrote it done and repeated it correctly yet gave us incorrect drink orders 1.5 hours after we had ordered. He continued to waste our reserved time by his delayed service and drunken babbling while we continued to ask him to continue working so we can make use of or reservation time. Due to the fact we had so many issues with wrong and later incorrect drinks, he had agreed to comp a few drinks and give us an extra hour of time. This was the agreement due to us already paying a food minimum so it didn't make sense to comp out more drinks (WHEN THEY WOULDVE CHARGED US A FEE HAD WE NOT MET THE MINIMUM). A different worker tried to kick us out early at our reserved time but we had explained that the drunk worker gave us an extra hour due to his poor service. At the end, they ended up charging us an extra $200 for that extra hour that was ment to be comped and tried to kick us out. I understand that our server is inebriated and may have miscommunicated with his coworkers or had done something that maybe wasn't protocol, but why did we have to pay $200 for this stores fault for hiring and allowing their employee to work DRUNK (HE WAS ALSO MAKING DRINKS DRUNK AND MAKING DRINKS WHILE DRINKING A PINK DRINK). It was extremely distasteful and for $500 that we initially spent, I am in disbelief of the service. It also felt as though we were being miss treated because of the birthday girls age, (the drunk worker kept making comments about her id asking her if she really turned 21 that day and asking if her parents were there?) but we also had adults 25+ present. However, I was forced to make my way to EKO Karaoke Lounge by some friends who were dead set on this particular location. Parking was easy and convenient, and the security staff was really nice and friendly. He was chatting us up while we were waiting for the rest of our group to arrive, and he helped us to take some group pictures at the end. Once inside, the facilities were nice. We had a bit of trouble with the remote, as we kept on ordering songs more than once in a row, but I'm not sure if that was the tech or if that was us. Lol. Please do not come here. I booked my 21st birthday day here thinking it would be fun. I've been here twice before and didn't have any noticeable issues but this time around was very disappointing. When my party and I arrived our hosted was visibly drunk and was very hard to communicate with. When checking my id to make sure I was able to drink he took minutes to read it and didn't believe I was 21 even though they had a screen with the date and time and my id clearly said I was of age. He then continued to asked again and again whose birthday it was and wasted so much of our time. When we ordered our first round of drinks and food it came an hour and a half late! Our food was cold and we had missing drinks. A member of my party went to check with our server to make sure he had the order correct and witnessed him actively drinking on the job. The server had mentioned he had been working for this place for 5 years and all that showed us was he was very comfortable with being drunk around guess and super unprofessional. With the many inconveniences he had said 4 of our drinks would be compensated plus we would get a free extra hour. But when it came to our original ending time a different serve tried kicking us out. We explained what his coworker had promised us and let us stay. But when we finished up and were ready to pay we got hit with an extra fee of $200 and the different server's explanation of why made zero sense. Even after trying to reason with him he gave us attitude and acted like we were crazy for our reasons. Let's get straight to the point: IT'S EXPENSIVE & NOT WORTH IT I booked a birthday party online-reservation for 25 people, VIP Private Room, on a Saturday night this past weekend. Cost was $800 minimum for Food & Beverage. $100/hour for room charge. 18% gratuity on entire bill and $25 charge to serve birthday cake/clean up fee. The ambiance was the best thing about this place. It is super clean, on the newer side. The rooms could be more aesthetically pleasing. The seating was not enough for 25 people! maybe 25 small children. Luckily, I only had 19 people, and there was no room after that! Parking is easy and free in the structure. We ordered chicken wings (all flavors - best choice), fries (little to no seasoning), pep pizza (like frozen pizza), mozzarella sticks (cold cheese was non melted on the inside), fruit platter, veg platter, chips & salsa, and chips & artichoke dip (dip had too much liquid). The alcohol orders were decent. One bartender messed up someone's drink and gave them the wrong one. They could've been allergic. Alcoholic drinks average $15 each. THE SERVICE - the worst part of the experience. They sent various staff to attend to the party instead of a designate person or two, so communication was misplaced. All orders were charged to the room like it was a hotel, even if my guests went to the bar. I asked them not to charge anything else to the room & they still allowed it. If someone who was not in my party at the bar overheard my guests ordering drinks, they could've simply added drinks as well! It was NOT organized. We were provided little instruction on how to work the karaoke machine (which had non-English labels), so we had to use Youtube and pull up karaoke songs, which delayed our time. The mics' volume are low and you can barely here your party sing. They do not hold birthday cakes in their fridge, they don't have candles, they don't have cake knives, & they do not serve the cake like their website says. BE PREPARED. This was not communicated to me, and when I mentioned it, they said their website is outdated and they don't do that here. They also had a button on the door to call for service, but again, this was not communicated to me, so I ended up spending most of my time back and forth to front desk, missing about half of my time with my party guests. Lastly, bottle service HAHA is a joke! Do not order! The cheapest bottle for $250 is Veuve Clicquot 750ml that serves about 4 people. I would've needed 5 orders to serve my party HAHA. We ordered 3 bottles of Prosecco which was $50 each. The same bottle is $13 at a store. RIP OFF since this isn't a club! They also gave us 12 glasses when I had a party of 19 people lol. Nonetheless, it was stressful since it was unorganized and communication was weak. The team leader for the night compensated for this mishap and I received a $25 gift card for my bday. read more
