LOVE THIS GUY! I caught him at a club once and it was fantastic. We danced nonstop that night. He kept the crowd pumped and the music was perfect. I hate when DJ's can't keep a crowd going. I'm a little confused by the one star review, DJ Oz was helpful, professional and extremely accommodating. Me and my wife booked DJ Oz about six months in advance to our wedding, we mistakenly waited until the last three weeks to start the necessary paper work so DJ Oz could finish his playlists, even though his paperwork clearly says to have everything done four weeks prior to the wedding. We apologized and he was extremely helpful and kind. We requested a mostly Salsa/Cumbia based playlist with a little but of old school and new school pop tracks, not only did he play the songs that we wanted, but was able to add in songs to keep the flow of the party going. If you've met DJ Oz, you know he's a character, very positive, charismatic and fun. He got along with everyone at my wedding and listened to their wants/needs, that was very much appreciated. DJ Oz Rocks! DJ Oz DJ'd my daughter's 15th Birthday AKA Quinceanera. I found him through Craigslist and contacted him to inquire about his DJ services. He was very responsive via email and phone. He made sure that we worked on all the details and he gave me a suggested agenda for the party. I changed it a bit, but that was very helpful. He arrived early and was ready to go for the begining of the party. We had a mixed crowd of Adults and Teenagers and he made sure to play music for ALL tastes. All new stuff, 70's, 80's, merengue, cumbia reggaeton, swing, etc. You name it...he played it. Everyone at the party was dancing. There was a point in the party that there was not ONE person sitting down. EVERYONE was on the dance floor, from a three year old to a grandmother! My daughter's party was a huge success. DJ Oz was our wedding DJ, and boy was he fantastic. He has an extremely positive vibe about him and his contagious optimism just put our minds at ease when it came to the music selection. We kicked things off with a meet and greet. DJ Oz met at our cafe of choice and we immediately knew he was the one for us. I was apart of the planning process of my parents 40th anniversary party that is this friday. My sister wrote a earlier review about this djs terrible service and lack of professionalism. We booked him months ago and he tells us 3 days prior to event he cant make it and made several excuses. He also sent a very rude email to my sister who was planning event telling her that he wouldn't be able to DJ the event. So I was planning my wedding from 2,000 miles away and even from this far away I could feel DJ Oz's energy! Ok that sounds crazy but this guy is good! At the reception we payed him, tipped him AND my dad tried to tip him. He refused but my dad snuck it in b/c he felt DJ Oz definitely deserved it. He played the ceremony music for my wedding as well as the reception music. The reception could have been a challenge considering we have 90% loud, outgoing, mexican family (bride's family), and on the other hand you had a more conservative religous family (my husbands family) and the DJ made it fun, played a great mix and even got my husband's family to dance which he said he has never seen. The wedding was July 3rd, 2011 and everyone is telling us how awesome the DJ was. In fact, I heard he had 20+ requests for his business. Not bad. Pros: great with the crowd will stick to what you ask him to do timely organized (he knows what order everything should go in and how the timeline should be) RELIABLE extremely personable honest Cons: can't think of anything but to say if you don't like someone with high intensity and a good personality then he's not for you. Our Daugthers Sweet 16th Party was a complete success, we had approximately 150 people all different ages and ethnic groups. We had to make sure that everyone was going to have a great time. We booked DJ Oz for our April 24th, 2010 Wedding. It was a bit difficult for us to find a good DJ, considering that we were a "special" case...I am half Peruvian, half Uruguayan and my wife is full mexican. Dj Oz had a good selection of mexican music for her, but although my choices were challenging, he filled the order quite well. We were able to provide him well in advance with some of the music we wanted and he blended it all in seamlessly and made it almost seem effortless from start to finish...we knew we were in good hands when he gave us a spreadsheet of his song list and a timeline form to fill out. He was readily available by phone and in person whenever we needed him. He was able to arrange a projector rental for us so that we may provide a small slideshow for all outr guests, to which he played the music and handled the equipment throughout the duration of the event. His lighting was perfect, motions and colors instantly made our dancefloor inviting...he has the latest salsa, cumbia, top 40 US, top 40 Latin, merengue, reggaeton, norteñas, rancheras, banda...amazing selection...and we soon learned that if he didn't have it, he would get it it in minutes!!! My wife and I hired Dj Oz for our wedding!!! He was great!!! We hired him for 3 hours. He played everything we asked for and more. The reception was at Campbell Inn. They were supposed to give us a server to serve us all our water and champagne etc. Well there wasn't a server. Dj Oz was so kind enough to start passing out glasses and serving us water etc. That was something he didn't have to do. He is a very good man and a very fun Dj. It was a small wedding. Around 20. I needed a DJ for my Grandma's 80th birthday party and after many family parties where the DJ ruined the dancing scene I was determined to find a DJ that wouldn't do that. My family is a big Mexican- American family who love to dance to Ramon Ayala all the way to all the old school hits like No Parking On The Dance Floor by Midnight Star. I needed someone who knew all of those types of jams and could mix the music well enough to please everyone at the party. After doing some research, I called DJ OZ and within a few mintues he returned my call. We met a few days later to discuss the agenda, what I wanted played and what I did not want played. I created a hand written list of the songs that my family had requested, (which was five pages long)lol. He was nice enough to create a contract and also typed up, a nice, refined list on a word document and emailed it to me. Let me tell you everyone's feet hurt the next day and my 60 year old aunt had an ace badnage around one of her knees because everybody was on the dance floor that night!! The only time I did have a problem was when he started to play a few songs that weren't on the list and once I told him to skip it to a song on the list, he did.
