A family friend whose daughter got married at Cog Hill a few years ago used Jon Wise, and they strongly recommended him. So, after we booked our venue, JPW Productions was actually the first vendor we hired! We were really busy with last-minute wedding planning, so we were not able to fill out the music preference questionnaire until a few days before the wedding. (Yes, it was honestly insanity.) Jon was SO patient with us despite how last-minute we are. He has a great personality and didn't stress us out at all on the day of the wedding (even though it was totally within his right to do so because we didn't give him the flash drive of a certain version of a song until the day of!). Even though we filled out a list of songs we wanted played, I gave him creative control to play songs that would get people out on the dancefloor. And he did just that! Even though we only had under 140 people at the wedding, the dancefloor was hopping. We got feedback from guests that they loved the variety in the songs the DJ played. My wedding was two days ago and everyone is still talking about how great the music and dancing was - especially the older folks (50+ in age). He had plenty of favorites to play for them, and he was very open to suggestions and direction when it came to catering to the tastes of me and my husband. Our first dance was unforgettable - Keith was right on cue with my song, and it was LOUD, clear, and absolutely beautiful through his sound equipment. My now-husband and I are fairly laid back people, and in the weeks leading up to the wedding, we really appreciated Keith's combination of helping us picture the night (in his MC duties), and his laid-back approach when we answered "I don't know" to several questions about what we wanted for songs at different parts of the night (turns out he had good suggestions too: "Sugar Sugar" is really fine for the cake cutting song). Also, compared to some of the other event planning/DJ vendors we looked at, he was incredibly responsive, matched our style (some of the others seemed kind of high-strung when we called them for quotes), and was well within our budget When it came to the actual wedding? He kept the dance floor packed all night. We gave him a list of songs that we thought were fun, and he worked most of them in at one time or another. Several guests remarked that night at how good he was at keeping the flow of the party going. A few guests had requests that he didn't have on him, and he would download a version of the song in real-time. Highly recommend.
