We looked at the different packages offered and Benny helped chose the one that fit our needs. He was extremely likable and we liked his DJ philosophy to work the crowd (I won't give it away- book him to find out). We decided on the car ride home that we were both excited to work with Benny. We immediately got the DJ tools but let them sit in our inbox for quite some time. When we were a few weeks out, we decided to sit down and make all our final DJ decisions- from there, we did a final call with Benny, running though our choices and all wedding party names. There were only two really odd-ball songs he did not have in his very extensive music library. He was willing to find them for us, but since we already had them, we just brought it with us the day of for him to play. He was very flexible, and allowed just about anything. My husband had made a recording of cocktail music, and I had taken care of the dinner music. Well, the day of, the coctail music turned out fine, but my dinner music compliation fell short by about 20 minutes. I was worried while the last song was playing, but Doug pretty much picked up right where my music ending, blending in some fabulous songs that fit right in. The dancing music was just as phenomenal. We had made a list of about five hours of music, but only had three hours to play music. But Doug was able to pretty much pick out the ones that were our true favorites without even having to ask. Then, imbibed with plenty of liquor, a guest asked for a request. But the request had already made it to my do not play list (the song was the Cha-Cha Slide- I despise that song more than anything). Somehow Doug was able not only to tell the guest "no" and be nice about it, he also helped the guest pick out a different song. So everyone went away happy. There is only one regret I have. So at first we walked into his office you see he has won awards. First thought was he is going to cost a lot. I'll tell you this right now, he was cheaper than the dj I hired 14 years ago. He gives you a timeline and explains everything into great detail. This guy has done thousands of weddings. You see it at the presentation and you can tell when he is doing it at the wedding. So onto the wedding, I don't want to bore you will all the planning details but trust me, it was easy. You'll have no problem with that. He explains everything to you and when he's doing it. Right before dinner we played a game called quest. He usually does it later but people had already been drinking and our ceremony was done sooner due to the weather. Right off the bat, he got people involved and I've never seen so many people cheer there person on. This game was outstanding because now people loved the reception right off the bat and could not wait until what the rest of the night would bring. I just cannot explain what he did for our wedding in words. He gets everyone involved. Dance floor was rocking the entire time. Hell even I attempted to dance and sing. Obviously not good at it. He's got games, there is a timeline that you get and he follows it to a t. If you don't know what song to use at a certain time, he can help you with that.
