When I called Cowleys to inquire what happened, they said they don't actually confirm these visits - they just show up?? But then why would you knock on my door if you don't need anyone to be present? This is WILDLY unprofessional behavior - not just showing up unannounced with chemicals in a home with a newborn, but then trying to gaslight me for your lack of communication. The entire phone call felt like the rep was annoyed at me and she did absolutely nothing to help beyond adding me to a "list" where they would notify me to confirm future visits. I've received confirmation from them in the past, so I don't know what happened on their end, but I cancelled my service with the rep immediately. What a waste of money this whole ordeal was. Stephen (Inspection & Sales) - Stephen arrived exactly at the scheduled time and was friendly from the moment he walked in. He inspected my attic, measured the square footage, and walked me through all available insulation options. No upselling...just available options. Based on our conversation about my high winter heating bills, he also suggested that my outer walls likely needed insulation. Before giving me any pricing, he made sure I understood that Atticare would secure the best possible PSE&G rebate. They ultimately obtained a sizable rebate (free money!) and a 0% loan for 72 months billed as part of my monthly utilities bill, which allowed me to insulate all three floors of outer walls in addition to the attic. Nick & Crew (Attic Insulation) - Nick and his team also arrived right on time. He explained the scope of work clearly and determined the most efficient way to complete it. His crew worked quickly and had the entire attic insulated in under a day. Victor & Crew (Outer Wall Insulation) - Like Stephen and Nick, Victor and his team were punctual and professional. Because my home's exterior is stucco, he explained the indoor insulation process in detail. His team moved furniture away from the outer walls, covered everything with plastic sheeting, and got to work. I will note that dust mitigation could be improved for walls and furnishings -- not a dealbreaker, but tightening that up would elevate the experience even further. The outer wall insulation work took a bit longer than expected due to the number of holes that needed to be drilled, patched, and painted, but the team handled it diligently. Ralph came by, looked at the crawl space, and suggested that it was my attic that needed more insulating. I didn't even know I had an attic because the home inspection report said a previous addition upstairs was the attic itself. Ralph was right. He gave me a quote, didn't try to upsell me, and answered other heating and cooling questions I then had.
