We decided to completely strip the wood to reveal the natural wood grain, re-glued, and reupholstered both pieces. All the work was done in approx two weeks, and all correspondence was answered promptly. We are over the moon with the results. Staples showing, round cushions out of round fabric not cut straight, trim not attached carefully and threads hanging. There is no final inspection or quality control before phoning you to pick up. And when pointing out the obvious, the excuse "well that's how it was originally". Whoever did the work was not experienced or sloppy/rushed.
