I really appreciated Ken's easy-going demeanor, and sensed zero interest in him trying to sell me a repair service that wasn't needed. Ken is just an honest guy offering his experienced opinion - in no doubt, putting yet another homeowners' unwarranted concerns to rest. Would be nice If all companies sent inspectors who operated the same way as Ken.

I signed the company's contract for the TI but Ernest agreed to my handwritten clause; "the project is not deemed complete until permits are issued from the city." There were more than three revisions to the plans and no sign that they were soon to be approved so I withheld payments on the project until Earnest could fix this dilemma. But that was not the case; instead, he threatened to quit the project if full payment was not rendered. When I say threaten, I mean the tone and vocabulary he used. I paid him the balance, and the project never got finished. I am not new to tenant improvements and have done new construction and I know the construction industry has a "buyer beware" attitude, but an engineer with this kind of attitude? I am lost. Every time I met with the plan checker, he poked at me because of the errors in the plans.

Upon arrival, I found no issues accessing the property there were no "large rocks" blocking the entrance as he claimed. Unfortunately, he had already left before the scheduled time without proper communication. Instead, he states that we send photos of the structure. We hired Ron to do the architectural plans for the remodel of a fourplex. He came in with a fancy camera scanner to measure everything, a very efficient process. He was very much on time with the delivery of the initial draft. We discussed minor changes and submitted to the city, and they had just had a few minor corrections before approval, which is better than other architectural teams I have worked with. After we began work on the project, we discovered a beam in the ceiling was not pointing in the right direction, leading to the need for a revision to the plans. The engineer Margarito went on site and approved changes, which allowed us to quickly adapt. Overall this was a very streamlined process, I would be happy to use his services in the future and can very much recommend him.
