The floor model looked perfect, and we were told our brand-new pieces would come directly from their warehouse. Delivery was on time, but when the furniture arrived we immediately noticed problems. The couch and loveseat had clear vertical stress marks where the leather was loose and wrinkled, and one piece had a crushed power box cord. The delivery driver bent the metal back into place, but the power box itself remained cracked. I called the same day and asked that the damaged pieces be picked up and replaced with new ones since we purchased brand-new furniture. Instead of replacing them, the store said the extended warranty would handle the issue and sent out a technician. The technician arrived with a large trash bag of pillows, cut one open, and began stuffing my brand-new furniture with pillow filling in an attempt to tighten the leather. The stress marks were still visible when he finished. When I pointed this out, he said that was the best they could do and that the marks "should go away." He did replace the power box. They did not go away. When I contacted Furniture Mart again, I was told there was nothing more they could do. We purchased new furniture and an extended warranty expecting quality and support if there was a problem. Instead, we received damaged pieces and a "repair" that involved stuffing pillow fill into brand-new furniture. Well it's time to buy a split king adjustable bed frame and mattress. Not sure where we will purchase it but it will not be at Furniture Mart or their affiliates. I am happy to update this review if Furniture Mart takes ownership and resolves the issue.

When I reached out to several companies, I asked they typical questions about carpet cleaning, plus asked if they could move a couple of pieces of furniture. Nick said his company could. He showed up alone, and did not move any furniture. He struggled getting the equipment up and down the stairs and we were actually worried he was going to hurt himself. After he left and the carpet dried, I noticed several stains around the carpet and it didn't feel soft when it dried. Instead of leaving a bad review, I reached out and asked what I should do. I also mentioned that my carpet was stiff and crunchy, so I asked if there was something we could do for that. He offered to come back out Monday. I said, "sure. What time?" He replied, "130" I confirmed 1:30. When he didn't show up at 1:30, I reached out. Nick said he came to my house at 1:10 and knocked loudly and no one answered. Then he left. He assumed I forgot and didn't wait until our appointment time. No one was home because the agreed upon appointment time was 1:30. The next message was rude and Nick turned this on me and said, "you should have communicated that with me. I drove all the way out from Otsego. I was trying to be nice." I was trying both times to give him a chance to fix the problem so that I could leave a good review. I like to support small businesses. Now I am stuck with carpet that doesn't look, smell, or feel clean, and I will need to have to call out another company or live with it.

We discussed and agreed to the project schedule and expectations. What transpired was a serious lack of transparency and management. We were taken advantage of including paying for work that was never done and were told it was, hurried work that required rework multiple times, schedule slippage by multiple weeks causing us to incur additional costs and rescheduling subsequent contractors. John discussed making things right, however we were well past the point of allowing for this to continue and paid for a different contractor to finish the remaining rework.
