He seemed new and didn't know what he was doing! The recipient never received the item, and 2 weeks later it came back in mail marked more postage was owed!! I did not have receipt so couldn't go back and prove it! I went back figuring another person would do a better job, and he didn't ! He tried to charge me too much and I had to tell him to give me priority mail charge. Saved $10!! Now I look at my receipt and he didn't give me the separate tracking number. We decided we would rather do whatever it takes to see Anthony Tursi go back to jail after yet another failed fraudulent operation. When we asked for transcripts of our phone calls they said we needed a lawyer which not true. They were just trying to delay getting shut down. Rhett, the first customer service rep we dealt with, claimed this was a veteran owned company. Alyssa Garcia said that it wasn't and didn't understand why it made a difference. Well. We are a military family and find it wrong that a man would claim he is a veteran to earn service member's business. There is a small raised concrete wall along the walkway that my kids found fun to walk on top of. I was a bit unnerved by the metal detector and conveyor belt. I didn't see any signage saying what to do besides to wait at a certain point, so when I was asked to remove my cell phone and keys from within my giant purse, I felt frustrated to have to dig these out with my kids already passed through to the other side. But, hey this forced me to reorganize my purse afterwards LOL. This courthouse is beautiful inside, architecturally, and quiet, clean, pleasant. Once past the police part, the rest was quite calm. Apparently they hold your appointment for up to an hour, but I doubt I will ever remember that the next time I ever need to do this again! The waiting room was fairly empty, although we had taken the first available appointment booked weeks beforehand. I didn't realize they also take passport pictures here, but I'm glad I brought my own, which weren't even cut yet. Note to self: bringing scissors to cut your passport photos with might seem logical, but apparently scissors are not allowed to be brought inside county courthouses. However, despite this mishap, I was glad to already have pictures with me, as this meant when they called our number we were able to go directly to the real office to do all the signing and paying right away, instead of waiting in a line to get pictures taken, where all the other passport people went except for us. The person who came to get all the passport folks from the main reception area seemed very confused- talking over us, trying to move us to the 'get pictures' room, and not being informative at all. But eventually she got us to the right place, though this seemed strange when all the other parts of the experience was extremely orderly and well-explained. The main receptionist was very kind and helpful. The person who processed our papers was great - and the process went faster than I had ever imagined it could. To the security person who removed my scissors from my passport folder as if it was a crime scene specimen, I hope this brought a chuckle to your day in the end. You're welcome.

So they sent me a protocol that needed to be followed for the VIN inspection to be valid. I arrived at the Police station at 8am and told the receptionist what I needed. They gave me a phone number to call to then be contacted with a police officer that could help me with my request. Within 30 min, I got a call that a police officer was outside by my car, waiting to help me with the VIN inspection. Officer Garcia was very polite and very friendly as I gave him the Rhode Island document. He inspected the car and in about 10-15 minutes, I was out of there. The report takes 3-5 days, which then I can pick up myself. It was a very pleasant experience.

Much to their credit they are fast, friendly... and get this... they let you smile for your driver's license photo, unlike many other states nowadays... So two hours later, I'm an official 'Floridian' license and registration and all. The service was great, the facilities are generic government bunker style, but clean and bright, not a bad place to sit for a couple of hours...

The Fire Department won't take phone calls on weekends, and if you call 911, they will tell you it is not an emergency. (She did.) Only it is. Besides my mother, my brother is in a wheelchair. This is a major tragedy waiting to happen. All the people on her floor are elderly. None of them could walk the stairs. They are shut in. Frankly, this is disgusting.
