COVID has actually improved your dmv experience! The only difficult part is actually getting an appointment. I had to check every couple of days for open appointments for my wife and I. It took 2 months of checking to find an open slot. The process to get a driver's license from start to finish took 35 minutes! No joke...we entered the office at 10:05 and we left at 10:40. There are very few people in there. No long lines. It was great. The staff was all a lot nicer because things are so structured. When you arrive they take a temperature check and ensure you sanitize your hands. Masks are required. If you need to go to the dmv anytime soon...don't wait till the last minute to try and get an appointment. Start looking early. read more

One of the fastest DMVs I've ever been too. The manager kept the line orderly. She's passed out paper with numbers on them to help keep it flowing well. Just overall a great experience. I live all the way in Pembroke Pines and I'll be driving to pompano dmv every time I need to go to the dmv. read more

If you are looking to make an appointment soon this is the place. We looked around online and most DMV locations had appointments in September. It is a far drive but worth it. Our appointment was at 9am and we were out by 9:20. This was good time considering all the paperwork and documents we needed to provide for a first time driver's license. Very quick and efficient. Even if you don't make an appointment the line is not that long and you can wait indoors unlike other places that the line is outside in the heat. I will consider this location when it's time for me to renew my license. read more

I am an immigrant but with permanent residency! I was treated very poorly because I am not fluent in the local language. The attendant was super rude, it is horrible to need public services and be discriminated against for not being a citizen. I definitely want to use this service in another city next time. this is a complain for INSTRUCTOR LOPEZ, if that is your instructor, run for the hills. The instructor had very poor communication skills, and definitely could not translate some instructions to English. She would tell me she was not trying to trick me with questions, however she did change the wording when asking about the "uphill parking", and right AFTER she told me I got it wrong, she told me that I could ask questions and she repeat the instructions if I did not understand, TWO times for each instruction, however, when I wanted to ask again ONCE before starting the assessment for one of the instructions, she yelled at me and told me "I already told you" if she is giving me the option to ask again, why is she yelling at me when I want the instructions repeated? In the end, of course she rejected me because she was just dying to do that from the beginning, and she only told me "You know what this means right?" in such a condescending and belittling way... Honestly such an UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE instructor. Again, INSTRUCTOR LOPEZ, she is a woman with dyed blonde hair, short, and wears rectangular glasses. read more

Ohhhh man! If I could give this location a minus 5 I would! I mean NO ONE expects much from the DMV but dang! I had an appt at 1:00. Got there a few minutes before, gave them my name and time at the "orange cones" and they sent me into a line with 12 other people. Next thing you know a fight breaks out. Alllll righty. So a woman walks in and goes right up to a window and another of Florida's finest starts yelling and they're calling each other names. I'm standing there feeling like I'm on some other planet. The "three" window attendants (out of 12 window) are now moving down to two people and one of them is very busy talking to the outside attendant about lunch so... there is now 20 people in line me one person actually working a window. Stick a fork in me. One hour later I made it to the window. I had my papers out and ready. A super super simple task. Add my motorcycle endorsement to my existing license. Nope. The woman behind the window is a mess and can't figure out how to do anything so she yells at me "I don't know what your doing behind that glass at that keypad!!!!" I look beside me and behind me and say "are you asking me?" She continues in a rant "I don't know what YOU did." I stood there in utter disbelief. Finally a co worker jumped in rolling her eyes trying to help her. What should have taken 15 minutes took almost another full hour. I'm telling you.... I'll drive 150 miles before I have to walk into this mess again!!!! Serious issues!!!! read more

I made an appointment for noon. When I arrived there were at least a hundred people in line. I walked up to an employee and explained I had an appointment and asked where the check in was for that. He pointed to the back of the line. There were people at the end of the line with appointment times prior to mine. I left, what have appointments times when clearly I would have been standing there for hours. I left and booked at a mother DMV. I will post my experience for that office once completed in a couple of weeks. read more

Great experience at this DMV. I went as a walk in and not what I expected. The service person at the front of the line clearly explained what people needed and when some didn't have the requested paperwork she was still very professional and polite. The public needs to follow rules and everything will go smoothly. The DMV doesn't need or want to hear excuses why YOU couldn't come up with required paperwork. They were kind and courteous. read more

The person in front of the DMV, confirming names and times of the appointment works fast and very organized. I had done more than 8 days of searching online for a appointment to get motorcycle added to my driver license. First available appointment was 5 weeks in the future, so I decided to try to speak to a person at the nearby DMV for advise and waited my time in the line, by the time the lady with the clipboard learned that I was not yet in her system, the tone changed dramatically. She warned me to leave the premises, since she had already judged that I have showed up to force my way inside the building and somehow add the A to my own driver license. Very very disappointed ....being yelled at for asking simple advise in a very polite manner. Being treated like a thug.
