Luscious birria, veggie, or shrimp tacos, burritos, quesadillas, rice bowls, churros, more! DMV makes just about our favorite Birria tacos! This truck gets around, too. We've seen it from Columbia to Finksburg MD! This time we found them at an event in Savage Park in Savage MD, (Jun 2026), in a cluster of trucks gathered in a corner of the parking lot next to one of the fields in a little league tournament. We already had hot dogs before we saw the DMV truck, and we had no regrets, but also no room for more. But we love love these birria tacos. Tender, juicy, flavorful, with lots of consommé on the side for dunking. We got some to take home, and they reheated really well, losing none of the flavors or aromas, just losing some of the crispiness of the taco shell. They were a glorious mess! We got an order of flavorful shrimp tacos, too. Scrumptious! Generous! They had birria, chicken, shrimp, or veggie tacos or quesadillas or burritos or rice-bowls, loaded fries, even a birria grilled cheese, birria empanadas, or a birria or combo hoagie! That's like a week of comfort foods to choose from! Beverages include Jarritos, and they have churros for dessert with sipping chocolate. Where will we seem them next! I first tried DMV Taqueria at a Yelp event. Immediately, the next day I drove out to their spot on the side of the road. The set up is nice. They have tables set up if you don't want to take your food to go or eat in your car. The service is pretty quick. I might of waited ten minutes for my order of chicken tacos. I'm not a corn tortilla lover but however they make their tortillas have changed my mind. The first time tried them they had a crisp text to them. They reminded me of a soft chip. There is no gritty taste to them. The chicken is seasoned down! It's so tednder and flavorful. I liked the red and the green sauce. I just poured it all over everything. The barria tacos, quesadillas, and empanadas are all amazing, just freaking delicious with perfect barria dip and sauces to complement the experience. The price is a bit steep but the quality delivered is worth it. Damn best barria around imo. Will try the chicken and shrimp unless barria is our focus. So yes. Birria tacos. Unreal. Usually I stay away from them because it feels like they're the trendy thing to order and most places they're not seasoned great. Great seasoning and flavor here. Both the green and red salsas are delicious too. The service was super helpful with recommendations and also very quick. 5 minute turn around. The truck was at the Puerto Rican festival at the Sandy Spring Museum today. We got here kind of late and all we've done is eat so far , also nice to hear the Plena band playing. Ordered steak burrito, which thankfully I split with my sister because it was huge. Really tasty, didn't even need the sauces. Daughter had chicken quesadilla, huge too and really god too. This is my favorite taco truck. I was referred here thru a yelp event. Had to return. I love the shrimp tacos. One of my favorites. Parking is tricky. There's a nearby business parking lot. I also noticed they added more outdoor benches and tables. Right next to the carwash. I ordered extra meat on this visit. The only thing different that I noticed was my radish was extra sharp. Didn't experience that on my last visit. So was a little surprised. I love the sauces that comes with the meals. Especially the green sauce. We were in the highland area and stopped by. Hey friends! I was in the area, went for a walk nearby at Lake Elkhorn, & decided to stop by. I discovered this place from the Grab &Go Yelp event earlier this year! I ordered the shrimp tacos. They took about 10 minutes. They were delicious. Unfortunately not as flavorful and spicy as my first visit. But I love that the ingredients always taste fresh. It comes with fresh limes and two sauces. -Customer Service was good. -This is a food truck outside of a gas station, so parking is very limited. I have been here a few times and it's always a good experience. Service is always fast. Stopped in this day for some steak tacos. It's located right next to the Banneker Fire station and the Exxon gas station. There are only a few parking spots on the street and the gas station can be hectic. I chose to head over to the office building right next to the gas station. Since I went on a Saturday the building was closed and there was plenty of space available to park. I placed my order and it was ready within a few minutes. As always the steak was flavorful and cooked well done. Surprisingly not dry at all. Is there a way I can present this establishment with 6 stars? My goodness; I 100000% understand why this food truck is on the Top 100 Places to Eat list. I ordered the churros, birria empanadas, and a shrimp, chicken and birria taco (yes, all 3), and the only thing I needed additionally was someone to drive me home from this parking lot! Literal 5 stars, and all pictured. It was a great idea for the food truck to give out buzzers for ordering, as I noticed a lot of customers either dine close to the truck at provided benches, walk a few feet to the gas station, vacuum station or car wash in the same parking lot, or simply walk next door to the other food truck. I am honestly so shocked at all of the good reviews for DMV, and now wondering if we just had an off experience? DMV Taqueria was one of the food trucks at a school event near our neighborhood. We decided to get tacos to finally give them a try. I got carne tacos and the meat was just not good quality. Super chewy and tough with a lot of fatty bites. I also felt there wasn't enough flavor. In terms of tacos, we have gotten way better tacos at other spots in the area. Again, maybe it was an off day, so we might give them a second chance in the future. read more
