    Seating.

Good: -Plenty of seating and good ambiance & cleanliness throughout the restaurant. Bad: -Very understaffed. It took 15 mins to get chips salsa and water. Main dishes sat out (not under a heat lamp even) for quite a while. No fault to the workers but they needed more staff over the weekend. -Chips were stale. Not sure if I just got an unlucky batch or if this is the norm. Okay: -Main course was okay, I had 3 tacos: birria, al pastor, and chicken with rice and beans. The birria had the most flavor of them all. Would have been better if it was hot.

Stop by on a whim while waiting for a concert in the area and boy I'm glad I did!!! The food was so delicious. The pastor was flavorful and the tripas were cooked to perfection. Not too chewy not too burnt. The steak quesadilla had great portions in each piece and cheese that made every bite scrumptious. They had the World Cup on and music playing that gave the whole experience a great feel! Wish I lived closer so I'd be able to come back!

Stumbled upon this Mexican restaurant on a random weekend. I thought it was going to be a place where you take a seat and someone takes your order. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you if you want to eat there. It has plenty of tables so it's not like a typical take out spot with like one table. Nonetheless, it's was interesting to read their menu and their advertised "to go" margarita. The food was good! I don't like paying for chips and salsa but these chips were good. I enjoyed one of their agua frescas as well. The chicken fajitas were good and I enjoyed the chicken along with the rest of the dish. I liked the char they get on their tortillas. My one complaint about the fajitas is that I wanted more chicken and for the chicken pieces to not be the entire size of the plate for easier fajita development.

summary: a new taqueria spot that opened in the old Nalley Fresh (sad to see it go ) location in Dobbin that offers classic Mexican options with great deals and also drinks. As someone who used to frequent Nalley Fresh quite a bit, it was an odd feeling walking in and seeing it transformed, but not really because a lot of the old decor was still there. There's lots of table seating with a mix of high top tables. They shifted a few things around and changed the main Subway-style window to the main cashier. There are deals plastered everywhere (and they're good). From drink and food specials to Happy Hour - chances are they have some kind of deal going on when you walk in. Another piece of good news is that it looks like they already have their liquor license figured out so there's lots of cool drink available to (speciality margaritas, beers, etc etc). The service was kind and friendly when we ordered and the food came out in about 10 minutes (they bring it to your table and each order gets a table number sign). Each dish comes with a lot of sauce options which is always welcome. The tacos were pretty good, the quesadilla was great (passed the kids test), and the kids meal was a great deal considering the amount of food. Looks like a great spot for Mexican food and hope to see it around for a while!

We saw this spot recently opened and had to check it out! The food was delicious! The tacos were all very fresh and stuffed with plenty of fillings. The Birria taco was also one of the best we've had! The consume with the flavorful meat, gooey cheese and crunch of the tortilla was just unmatched. I also really loved the Al pastor, it was my personal favorite. The chips, salsa and guac also tasted super fresh, and the tortilla chips were even warm when served. The guac was limey and smooth. The salsa had a nice chipotle flavor. We also had their agua frescas: hibiscus and piña. The larges were definitely larger than we expected, but in a good way! They were sweet and refreshing. Definitely check out Taqueria Parranda!

The Only Review You Need To Read Let me just get right down to it: Pros: very friendly staff, nice location, friendly atmosphere. Cons: they were out of the main dish my partner wanted (Pozole), so she settled for Al pastor (and only wanted half of it before she gave up because she wasn't enjoying it and tossed the rest). I ordered my "go-to" entree - chicken enchiladas. Stuffed with chicken which was a plus, but the plus got taken away because the meat was so dry - even with the entire plate being drenched in the green sauce. And for all of these places we've gone to around Maryland that advertise this, it's not really "authentic Mexican food" when black beans are used instead of pinto beans. And no little bowl of chips & salsa to munch on while waiting for our order? I'll end off with a positive comment: if you're looking for a Mexican-adjacent meal, this is the best place in all of Dobbin Center.

Just went to spot after leaving planet fitness. EXCELLENT. haven't has gd mexican since mi rancho days in silver spring bck in early 2000. Got the combo. 3 tacos. Soooo gd! EXCELLENT staff!!!!

The Pozole was flavorful (not spicy) and came with whole fried tortillas and plenty of toppings. Perfect for a cold day.

We ordered Pozole, tacos and margaritas and we enjoyed it all plus the service was quick. Everything was flavorful and the portions were generous. Will definitely be back!

Taco special. 3 tacos (chorizo, chicken, steak) and side of rice and beans. $14

Taqueria Parranda gets 2 thumbs up from me! They check off all the boxes that you'd want for an authentic Mexican restaurant. The restaurant itself is lively, clean, with plenty of seating. You order from the main counter and receive a number to bring back to your table. I noticed they had a taco special which was three tacos and a side of rice and beans for $14. I went with chorizo, pollo, and the carne asada. In addition to my meal I decided to grab a margarita. Had to give it a try. $10 for a freshly made margarita. Not a bad deal. My food and margarita was out within minutes. Everything was great! Hard to pick a favorite since each of the meats were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The rice and black beans were a win and was a nice side to have with the tacos. The meal comes with two sauces (red & green) the red has a bit of heat to it. I highly recommend this place great food and drinks!

Wanted to try a new place so I drove the extra distance. I ordered Carne asada tacos, Al pastor tacos, chicken enchiladas with red sauce, and a chicken quesadilla. Ordered with rice and beans, and chips. The steak tacos were pretty good, there was good flavor, but I wish there was a little bit of char. The tortillas were good, and didn't taste like cardboard. The Al pastor tacos, were a little too bland for my liking, so I think I'll pass next time. I did notice the steak and pork meat seemed to be better quality than other places I've had. There was very little fat and gristle which is nice. Next the chicken enchiladas, waaay too salty, this had to be a mistake in preparation. It was almost inedible. Other than the salt bomb, the flavor was good. I wish the red sauce had more concentrated flavors though. Last the chicken quesadilla, great flavor. The tortilla had a nice buttery flavor and the chicken here was well seasoned. Would get again. The sides. The rice was great, one of my favorites. The beans were good, but nothing special. The chips and salsa were also good. Nice classic restaurant flavors. The red and green salsas that accompanied the tacos were better than I had expected. The red had a nice spice, but wasn't over the top. Overall, this place had a very clean taste and clean feeling. Wasn't the most flavorful though. tl;dr Beans - ok Rice - great Steak tacos - great Al pastor tacos - meh Chicken quesadilla - great Chicken enchiladas - way too salty Chips and Salsa - good

We've seen it from Columbia to Finksburg MD! This time we found them at an event in Savage Park in Savage MD, (Jun 2026), in a cluster of trucks gathered in a corner of the parking lot next to one of the fields in a little league tournament. We already had hot dogs before we saw the DMV truck, and we had no regrets, but also no room for more. But we love love these birria tacos. Tender, juicy, flavorful, with lots of consommé on the side for dunking. We got some to take home, and they reheated really well, losing none of the flavors or aromas, just losing some of the crispiness of the taco shell. They were a glorious mess! We got an order of flavorful shrimp tacos, too. Scrumptious! Generous! They had birria, chicken, shrimp, or veggie tacos or quesadillas or burritos or rice-bowls, loaded fries, even a birria grilled cheese, birria empanadas, or a birria or combo hoagie! That's like a week of comfort foods to choose from! Beverages include Jarritos, and they have churros for dessert with sipping chocolate. Where will we seem them next! And will we venture past the birria tacos? Stay tuned :-)

There is no gritty taste to them. The chicken is seasoned down! It's so tednder and flavorful. I liked the red and the green sauce. I just poured it all over everything. I'll try something else the next time I pass through.

I don't normally drink when I go out but I was feeling a bit wild that night. She recommended a drink called "la suegra", I'm not to sure how to describe it but it was very nice. It scratched the back of my throat in a pleasant way, I had to order a second one. I then ordered food, which I was a little intimidated by the scale of their menu. The tacos asada were delicious, and the paired salsa was amazing. I ordered a red salsa against my better judgment and found to spicy, but the flavor was still spot on.
