If I want an adjustment, she can make it happen. She makes sure we are on the exact same page before she starts anything, so there's never a surprise reveal! She is meticulous with the application of the color, so the different colors are always well defined where they are supposed to be and blend well where they should. Every person who walks out of this salon, regardless of the stylist, looks wonderful. The whole atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable and welcoming. I'm extremely disappointed in her professionalism that I have no choice but to let my 15 year old daughter go ahead and fix my hair. I will be wearing a hat until then. "We're ONLY 15 minutes behind" well my thing is, you had us wait 3 weeks as if you're the salon equivalent to the Beatles. I've been reading that they haven't been doing well with new customers. While I was in my chair being taken care of by the incredibly talented Melissa and unable to physically assist my fragile mom who uses a cane, it warmed my heart to see not only her stylist but a few other stylists assisting her with walking and providing her with a beverage. She was genuinely treated as if she were their own family. Also, 2 customers leaped from their seats the second we walked in the door, to offer her (and even me) a seat. I called to set-up a consultation w/Diana and when I arrived @ the salon, the receptionist NEVER had NO clue what I was talking about; so I was introduced to another hairstylist, who would be coloring my hair a completely different color than I am originally use to dyeing it. I showed the stylist a pix of the exact haircolor I would like dye it and she said that there would be no problem whatsoever. I went to salon the day of my appointment (a little late b/c of traffic) and when I asked the stylist if I could see samples of what colors she was using, she refused to let me see it until I kept insisting I wanted to see it for myself. Her reasoning is b/c the "samples are deceiving." The stylist began dyeing my hair; but she was too busy talking to everybody but me. She was talking to another customer in the next chair to me and the 2 other stylists around her, not paying too much attention to me. After applying the dye, she had me sit in front of the store, where I could NOT hear myself think. The television was way too loud, other women getting their hair dyed were walking in and out smoking, one stylist was doing her own hair while the other hairstylist was getting a manicure done by someone in the salon. As I was sitting to be processed, there was dye coming down the back of my neck that I had to get a towel myself to wipe off until my hair got washed. When it was time for my hair to be shampooed, the girl must have spent 5 minutes cleaning my hairline b/c the stylist left the hair dye all over it. It came time to dry my hair and it did NOT meet my expectations at all! The color was alot darker than the picture I described and I explained my displeasure. I was told to give it a few days and if I didn't like to come back and I could have some blonde highlights put back in my hair. Before I left the salon, I asked the owner, Diana, her personal opinion and another hairstylist put her 2 cents in and said that my hair looked lighter than the pix. I did not see it. I was promised that if I was not happy w/the color, I had 10 days to come back and get blonde highlights in my hair at NO charge. I had schedule another appointment; but I was too sick. After that, NO one at the salon would return my calls and when they did, they were EXTREMELY rude, especially the owner. Even though I am still within the 10 day frame of getting my haircolor corrected, Diana stated on the phone to me that the "stylist gave me exactly what I wanted"; therefore if I wanted the color fixed it would cost $60.00" When I mentioned what the stylist had told me about if I was dissatisfied w/the darkness of hair that all I had to do was call the salon & she would fix it for "free," the owner, Diana, stated that I must pay $60.00-- no questions asked, even though I still have 2 days left on the " guarantee" the stylist promised me! This salon is very "unprofessional" and when u try to call, u can barely hear the person on the end of the phone. I would NOT recommended this salon to anyone. They do NOT stand behind their services and if you are dissatisfied with you hair color, they will talk their way out of re-doing ur hair. In fact, one stylist made a "snide" comment stating: "O, did u look in the sun and see something completely different?" My lesson out this experience: Do a couple drive-bys around the salon to see the clientele and the atmosphere around the salon. If I would have done that before my appointment, I would have seen a completely different salon than the time I went in for my consultation.

I just moved to the area and wanted to try out a salon before getting color and such and figured a trim was a good place to start. Everything there was fine. Frriendlyy staff, everything was time efficient, lovely salon. Then I noticed how my trim of my hair that went down to my belt was now at my waist/bOttom of my ribs. So we're talking like 5". That was beyond unsettling but then I noticed the worst. One side was about 2" shorter than the other and my ends were completely destroyed, like more split ends than I came in with. I called to complain and the owner fixed the issue with a dry cut. My ends are now a complete nightmare but because my hair is already so much shorter than I wanted, I don't even want to go remedy this yet and my hair looks like a wreck. Maybe my experience was rare but I can't fully express my full disappointment and maybe I can help someone else out.

My first stop was Studio One and I was greeted warmly and told I could see Kristen in a couple minutes. She was warm and I could tell that she understood color and understood what my needs were. She spent ten minutes talking to me about my hair and asked me lots of questions. I knew that no other salons would be necessary...... she was my new hairstylist!! The next day I came in and she colored the gray, gave me highlights, low lights and cut my hair perfectly. I could tell before she even styled my hair that the color was perfect. Prices were more than fair, everyone was very nice and it is a salon that makes you feel very warm and fuzzy. Kristen has 20 years experience and it shows. She is very sweet too. I am so happy that I found Studio One and especially found Kristen. Don't hesitate to call and ask for her, you will not be sorry.
