It felt like it was definitely a recipient of plenty of donations, but those donations were the kind that make their way to used books stores -do simply to the fact that they aren't very interesting, sought after, or are just plan duds. I browsed the entire book selection and nothing stood out. I also looked in depth at their vinyl selections and found them in about the same state. After 2 leisurely hours, I found a new author, and I'm anxious to start her first book. Another reason I was anxious for 'my time' to shop for a new book at B&N is their 'Hot Coffee, Hot Book, Cafe Special Offer' deal! With the purchase of any cafe item, you can purchase a featured book for $5. This offer has limited quantities, and the book cover is so pretty and pink! It's titled 'The Vanishing Cherry Blossom Bookshop' by Takuya Asakura. The friendly cafe server said that the $5 cafe book offer for this book title ends soon, but another book will be coming. She believed their location has the offer every 2 months, but other locations might be every month. No worry, I'm hooked and I'll keep an eye out! So, I see another great cafe deal on select bakery items, BOGO 50% off. I chose a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cookie and an Oatmeal Raisin Cookie to go. After my new book purchase and cafe purchases, my first text to my adult children was a reminder that Mother's Day is coming up and that I'd love gift cards to Barnes & Noble! So the snow was coming and my daughter wanted a new game to occupy her time as school was canceled the next day. So we first looked at the pre-owned wall. There were several cases that filled the 5ft wall. But we were looking for a Xbox 360 game... She looked and didn't find it. Mom to the rescue! I found the game! We took the empty case to the counter. And here is where you get the actual game and purchase it here as well. Well the employee searched for maybe one minute only to tell us, they are out the game. Bummer! The employee did offer to check other locations. I accepted... the game we were in search for was at a nearby location... We proceeded to Chesapeake. This experience left me feeling like ... why have the case visible when all in all the game wasn't available. But the employee's customer service made up for the disappointment. The shop is located in the Victory Shopping Center among other shops and eateries. It's also minutes from I264. Plenty of parking. Have fun and enjoy life :)

I've only ever been pressured to pre-order a game I didn't want to and that was 5 to 6 years ago (I didn't pre-order the game they wanted me to.) The current staff are friendly and laid back. They pay attention to questions and even give recommendations that are reasonable and from experience as gamers themselves. I would definitely recommend Oldskool if you aren't looking to break the bank, but this is the place to get newer games.

We browsed and both found a few things to get. Prices very competitive with items ranging from $5 to very expensive for large gems. The store was very easy to get around and see different groupings of stones and themes. Just a welcoming and cool place to be. Large inside, not just a tiny alley of a store. Comfy couch to sit on! And the smell of the place was clean, with hint of pleasant incense or oils. Nothing overpowering, which I like. Some new age places are really too much! I keep my consoles in a humidity-controlled room, the rust came with the console, so did the dead roaches. I don't know how that passed any qa, or the original defective console for that matter. The prices are cheap, but going somewhere else would be advised. This place has gone downhill bad.
