I set up an appointment and three weeks later a tech came out and repaired the gate properly -- it's solid and functional again. The owner later contacted me and admitted he forgot to mention upfront that there would be a $150 charge for the repair. He apologized for the oversight. I went ahead and paid without arguing. While I wish the repair had been covered under warranty (or at least the charge clearly communicated beforehand), the company was responsive and the work was done.

Jason, the owner, came out on March 12, 2024, to give me an estimate on having my wood fence replaced. I asked for a quote for both another wood fence as well as a vinyl fence. After receiving eight quotes, I decided to consider L and J Construction Services and one other company. Although L and J Construction was a little higher in price than the other company, L and J Construction was able to start right away. Since my wooden fence was leaning, I wanted to have it replaced as soon as possible before it damaged my neighbor's brand-new fence. It took about one week to obtain the building permit from the village. But, once we had the permit, L and J Construction started the next day. I was told by Jason that his workers would be on-site the next day to lay the fence posts. Imagine my surprise to see the workers had not only torn down my wooden fence and laid the posts for the new vinyl fence but they were almost complete with installing the new fence. All that work in ONE day! The new fence looks wonderful - it gives a lot of curb appeal to the house. I absolutely LOVE the walk-in gate that was installed - it automatically locks into place each time someone walks in or out of the yard. This was especially important for me since my lawn service often leaves my fence gate unlatched after cutting the lawn. Now I don't have to worry about it anymore. My contractor who was supposed to put a new deck in my backyard stopped contacting me so I needed help as the staircase back there was already removed from the cement company putting in a new cement patio. I asked Daniel if he knew anyone and he was like yeah we do that too. I was like GREAT! He and the crew handled the project in a couple days and it looks beautiful. My backyard looks great thanks to Daniel and his team. I definitely recommend!

Unfortunately, the installation completely failed to meet that standard, and the customer service follow-up was non-existent. The discharge point they installed sits in a depression, meaning the water constantly overflows and sheets directly across the public sidewalk instead of draining properly. This created a slip hazard and left a permanent puddle in the yard. Because the water was left to sit stagnant, my grass is now dying and turning orange from iron bacteria. When I reached out to Daniel with photos of the flooding, he told me to 'wait 10 days' for the ground to drain. I waited the full timeframe, but the problem persisted. I reached out multiple times afterward to get a plan together to fix the grading or extend the line. Daniel completely stopped responding and abandoned the project. I am now having to hire a second landscaping company to fix the problem.
