First time I've worked with this stylist in his little hide away amongst the tiny strip mall. You'd swear you'd never find the place because he doesn't want to be "out" to the general public(no salon signs displayed!) but if you were curious enough to find out what business this was---windows hidden by long pretty curtains, you'd find your mini hideaway and awesome stylist. Luis other wise known as "Boysie/Boise" spent about 2 hours with me, it clearly appeared he genuinely takes the time out to get to know you while working with you. What I liked a lot too is that it was one on one, no one waiting on him but you and the stylist so, no sort of rush. I got rid of my old color which contained highlights, cut about 2 inches and got myself some bangs along with whole new color---loved the final project! Slightly expensive but I suppose this is because I'm still a student living with Mom. :( He might possibly take walk-ins but I'd say appointments most definitely preferred. His salon is definitely modern and sheek. He's got a little jewelry showcase if interested, I saw some nice pieces. Long story short... I needed a new sheh-bang and Boysie definitely made that happen---I will be back as he is definitely fun to work with and takes care of you. read more

Honestly I had really high hopes going to this salon for the first time because of all his positive reviews on yelp . Unfortunately going to this salon was the biggest mistake I have ever made . I went to him because it was going to be the splurge on myself to get the hair color I wanted . I wanted to go lighter on my existing balyage. He made me feel comfortable & made it seem like he was going to work a miracle on me ,then he goes and fries my hair .... I got to him at 3pm & I didn't end up leaving his salon till 9pm. He was taking his time section by section bleaching my hair. Me confiding in him that he knew what he was doing , I did not say anything & let him do his thing. He ended up leaving bleach in my hair for a good two hours and in the end ,the color of my hair didn't even change from what I already had . He even curled my hair while it was wet , trying to hide what he had done . I have never been so disappointed in my life. Ive had to chop off my poor beautiful hair because of what he did to me. My hair is till this day is still fried and damaged. Never ever will I be going back to him & to ever woman out there please do not go here . read more

I just got my hair done at this salon for the first time and could not be happier with the services provided. I consider myself a little more experienced with it comes to getting my hair dyed since I went through an experimental phase in my teens. Louis takes his time to understand what you want to do and his work clearly speaks for itself. He is an experienced colorist who clearly loves his work. He took my hair from a dark/medium brown to a very light blonde but my hair feels pretty much just as healthy as when I walked in. He made it clear aftercare was important and gave me great recommendations for up keeping. He didn't seem to care if I purchased in his salon or not, he just cared about making sure I'm using the right products to maintain my hair. In the past week since the coloring, I've never received so many compliments. I highly recommend this salon. Just don't go if you're going to b*tch about prices. You get what you pay for. For an experienced colorist like Louis, the price is obviously going to be a little higher because his work is better. read more

This is definitely a hidden treasure that I feel so happy to have discovered. I've had bad bad experiences with believing some reviews, so I came here with a whole lot of nervousness and honestly expecting to be let down again. I had lived with orange hair for over a month because I just didn't want to damage my hair anymore. I kinda gave up on my blonde hair dream, I thought it couldn't be fixed unless I went back to dark brown. I was wrong! I went in looking like carrot top and came out looking and feeling fabulous! This man is talented beyond belief, I saw pictures of his work on Facebook on REAL people and I was amazed, not only is he good at hair but he's awesome at makeup too! Boise is really personable and lively, I love his energy but this is a review on he's talents with hair I know but personality is important to me too. So anyways he is an awesome stylist and knows how to really make the the look you ask him you want to really work for you. Best hidden treasure, my daughter and I went yesterday it was our first time. From the moment we walked in we felt right at home. Boysie (as he's known) asked all the right questions, made sure we were going to get exactly what we wanted before we each sat on that chair, he didn't just rush to wash my hair and cut it like I've experienced in the past with other salons .
