I'm giving three stars because it was a mostly pleasant experience. Our server was friendly and nice but definitely did not want to go out of her way to do anything extra. My wife and I both ordered the same burger and we both ordered them cooked medium. Hers came out nice and juicy and about medium well which is OK. Mine came out super well done. Practically burnt. I told my server and showed her the burger patty. She blamed it on the grill and walked away. Well it obviously wasn't the grills fault. My wife's burger was cooked right beside it. I ate about half of it. Too dry and crispy too finish it. The rest of the meal was damn good. The coleslaw was great although it was served it very small condiments cups. I would have liked more. The seasoned fries were cooked to perfection. They were hot and tasted wonderful. Well... we got the bill and was surprised to see that there were no adjustments to it. Not even a discount. I asked the other server about it as we were checking out. She also blamed it on the grill. Not the cook. The restaurant it's self; Bland. Looks very old. One of the booth table tops were barely attached to the wall. That was the first booth we sat at before we moved to another table. My wife and I don't typically care about our review the decor but I need to mention it. The carpet looked like it hasn't been cleaned in 30 years. Black! Disgusting and greasy looking. I know we are here for the food and I don't usually pay much attention to the floors. The get walked on and they get dirty. We all know that. But this was beyond cleaning. This needs to be replaced. Everything else seemed to be in order. Didn't use the restroom so I can't speak to that.

French Dip With American cheese. It was so fresh, hot and loaded! The Au Jus sauce as delicious.

We had stuffed pepper soup, french onion soup, opened face hot turkey sandwich, grilled cheese and a french dip this afternoon. Not only was it delicious but our waitress was so kind and nice. The place was clean and was practicing social distancing. We really felt welcomed and enjoyed our meal and the environment. Thanks Dobbs, everything was excellent!

Dinner tonight! Started with the French Onion soup, which was very good. I ordered ravioli and meatballs. The order came out really quick. Everything was hot and had great flavor. Everyone at our table had a good meal. Will definitely go back. Reasonably priced.

I got the blueberry pancakes, two eggs, and breakfast links. My friend ordered the western omelette with toasts. Everything was delicious! We were hungry so forgot to take pictures before we nearly finished our food! You get a great amount for what you pay. Definitely would come back if we ever pass by again.

Love it every time I'm here. Chicken and biscuits are to die for. All of it is home made. Turkey club is fantastic. Fresh turkey. Not the processed deli crap. Just an all around great place to get a nice home cooked meal.

Virginia Ham with orange raisin sauce. The sauce is different, but it is good.

Home style food with home style servings at a very reasonable price. You can go wrong with anything on the menu. It's a nice little "trucker stop" location that is open early and closes late. If you're looking for something that isn't a traditional "chain" restaurant, this is the place for you. Very mellow, very low key.

Breakfast is good not a big fan of anything else. Better than McDonald's Burger King and Dunkin doughnuts if you want a good breakfast.

Simply enough, we return here…read morebecause we're always pleased with the food, service, cleanliness, and all-American milieu. Here, you could be in any decade from the nineteen-fifties till today. It seems timeless. We had the Lunch Special, lasagna, which totally surprised us. Clearly, this is not an Italian cachino, and the garlic bread that accompanied the lasagna was straight from a country kitchen. The garlic toast and the main dish were just what you'd expect at your mom's kitchen table. Wholesome and delicious in a generous portion. As I said, we've had many lunches at Windsor Diner. All were delightful, and all keep bringing us back.

There weren't many options and the best reviewed was the Windsor Diner.(Yes, consisting of just one review... where that family was adventurous enough to try the lasagna - which is so amusing to me.  And not the last time we'd encounter a Yelp review in this part of the world where people actually order the lasagna from places no one in their right mind would!) Coming from NJ (diner capital of the country) where even my little hometown used to have 3 diners itself... maybe it isn't fair to judge a diner in God's country the same way we do in Jersey. This place is small.  It's decrepit (from the carpeting to the bathroom). There's a really strong odor (maybe old/burnt oil from the fryer?) wafting through the place the whole time we were there. But it's really busy... people coming and going constantly - which we take as a good sign. Waitress - awesome.  We're getting a good vibe from this place now. The Mrs. - really enjoyed her dish. Younger twin - he dug his dish. Older twin - half-and-half, he dug the sandwich but not the side of (clumpy and congealed) mac-and-cheese. Myself - after joking with the rest of my family about someone ordering the lasagna and garlic bread what do I do?  I bravely order their haddock special.  It wasn't "bad" but it definitely wasn't "good".  The (bland) filet was hacked up (either the cook was angry or this was the only way for them to 'know' the fish was cooked through/properly?) and the mashed potatoes were very basic (boring).   Pricing was honestly great.  (Jersey) Diner-size portions and no dish was over $14-ish. Not sure we'd come back but it definitely served its purpose.

The menu itself is short and focused, while the interior of the restaurant features wallpaper with anthropomorphic animals, and large windows. I opted for the Burger, and my wife the Salmon. We also ordered the grilled dates and collard greens. I also decided on a Ginger Beer. They serve Goslings (since 1806), with all 47 grams of sugar, over ice and a lime. Highly recommended on the ginger beer flavor scale. The Burger came with a massive amount of their duck-fat fried fries, certainly more potato than burger. I also liked the burger with the added bacon. But my wife's Salmon was even tastier. It featured a nice hunk of fish, skin-on, crispy, and not some half-or-quarter fillet that other places might serve. Plus, it comes over a bed of green peas and canneli beans and green asparagus sauce on the bottom, and a small bed of frisée on top. The combination with the lemon cream leads to very satisfying bites. The grilled dates wrapped in bacon, with goat cheese, Marcona almonds, and honey were presented as a drumstick. The collard greens were nice, though on the saltier side. Seating here can be had inside or out. The bathrooms are located in the hallway next to the restaurant.

I was not a fan of the salmon mousse... far too salty and I wish it was paired with crisped bread or at least something other than Ritz crackers. I did, however, enjoy the presentation and taste of the macaroni au gratin. The square shape is very unique and I liked the cheese sauce. The lamb w gnocchi was also quite good. Pillowy and soft. The lamb was cooked well. Overall, I would maybe return. I enjoyed the macaroni au gratin as well as the lamb w gnocchi!

Our waitress really was wonderful. She was genuinely concerned that we were satisfied with the experience. Just a short time later our dinner was served. There was an order of eggs, french toast and well done bacon, exactly how my wife ordered it. I had a fantastic hamburger and crinkle fries. I asked for a bourbon burger and it came out perfect.
