Dan's demeanor and earnest interest are excellently suited to the usual barber chop talk, and somehow despite being one of a hundred-plus regulars he sees every couple months, he can immediately pick right up where we were last talking. Beyond that, Dan's a barber who actively loves the art of his work and brings an exceptional attention to detail in delivering exceptional cuts. He is meticulous with his attention to layering, ensuring that a haircut won't just look good for a few days then get shaggy, but shines through from cut to cut. While I usually book for 45min, between our banter and his attention to detail it frequently runs to the full hour. Despite being fully booked, Dan never rushes through the work to get through to the next booking, he places his full attention and energy into each of his clients into getting it right and making folks look good.
