Nick is literally the only person he trusts with his hair now. Watching that level of trust between a barber and a client is nice. Nick doesn't just give a good haircut, he gives a sense of comfort and confidence. What I love most is the dynamic they have. When my brother sits in Nick's chair, he seems less shy. they talk, joke around, and my brother genuinely feels seen. I used to stay for the whole appointment just to hang out, but now I actually step away and let them have their time. I meet him afterward because I know my brother is in good hands, not just with the haircut, but in the environment. It makes me happy to see my brother connect and feel at home there. I've been getting my hair cut by Cantu for a while now, and every time I walk out of the shop I'm reminded why I keep coming back. This guy is consistently excellent. Where would I be in life without Kris and G Circle!!! It has literally taken me over a decade of trying barbers and stylists all over the Bay area until I found Kris and her amazing Talent. Now i do have to say that Nick was cutting me first and i was extemely Happy with his Master skills until one day Kris cut and styled me and i havent gone to anyone else. Her attention to detail and the fact she can not only hook up a fade but then Style your hair to make to you look straight dipped in butter sauce. She will be able to consult you on what would look best or Translate what you want and overdeliver making you always looking hella fly. Three words come to mind when thinking about my continued visits with Juan @ G. Circle: Consistent, Welcoming, & Adaptive. Consistent because without fail, Juan will produce precise and consistent results with every visit, as if I was just there the day before - even when it's been months! Welcoming because not only is Juan good at what he does, he's got an inviting personality, and will always be down for a conversation if you're down to shoot the shit. On top of that, all the other barbers @ G. Circle now know me and are as kind to me whenever I pull up - they definitely treat their clients like family. Adaptive, because I've come to learn that my choice in haircut sometimes changes, and sometimes they change ever so slightly - so despite Juan's uncanny ability to produce consistent cuts, he also listens and evolves as I phase out of certain things, even if the differences are minutia. I find myself coming back months (and almost a year) later even though I've moved a bit further out and it takes more effort to get to G. Circle, but the reality is that it'll take way more effort (if even possible) to find a local barber who can do what Juan does. Back in 2019, she gave me my big chop - helping me transform my long femme hair to a shadow fade. She gave me ideas, offered reassurance, and helped co-create the cut that we moved forward with. Kris is a true Virgo and will meticulously work with her clients to make sure she gives you the ideal haircut and that you leave her chair feeling like your best self. As a queer non-binary person, Kris' cuts are so gender-affirming for me. I feel safe, creative, and playful in her hands. Over the past 5 years of cutting my hair, Kris has become a close friend who I wholeheartedly trust. I often ask her to freestyle designs on the side of my head, and awe at the artistry she brings to her craft. She also goes along way to meet my COVID needs (asking if I'd like her to wear a mask, etc.) - which is very important to me as someone who continues to be very COVID-conscious. I would follow Kris anywhere, but truly G Circle is a great barbershop with immaculate vibes and talented barbers all around. I've also got cut by Nick G (one of the co-owners of G Circle) and he was great! He already knew my preferences from observing how Kris cuts my hair in the chair next to him over the years. Took my little brother to this barbershop for the first time earlier this year and he has always gone back! I don't have the experience of having my hair cut but I have to say the quality and service exceeds other shops by far as I waited through the appt. Michael has been very attentive and patient the past 6 months and I can't say my family will be going anywhere else.
