Doc's Smokehouse 2191 N. US Highway 1, Titusville, FL 32796 3 Stars I briskly walked balladromically to the front door, inhaling the gorgeous aroma of slow-cooked smoked meat. Aubrey is the server. She was fantastic. She gave off a vibe of warmth and friendship and was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. She received a 40% tip today for her professionalism. Kudos, Aubrey! Thank you for being so dedicated to your job. I asked Aubrey for some smoked chicken wings, smoked meatloaf, and some smoked Mac & Cheese. I was beginning to see a pattern. There are two other restaurants of the same moniker that are connected. However, upon a call from my Editor, the person at Doc's Smokehouse in Titusville said she didn't think so, though she was relatively new, so don't quote her. The other two are in the Upper Midwest, so I would hazard to guess that unless Doc came down for some sun and decided not to leave, they are not related. Now, I like me a good dry wing, but one bite in and I found these to be so dry, I was spitting out cotton balls. Not really, but you get the point. I think these might have been left under the lights a bit too long or overcooked. Either way, they had superb flavoring they were just drier than the Gobi. The smoked meatloaf was above average. You got a good sense of the smoke. It was smokey on the palate, but not so much that it lacked flavor. The complex flavor of the meats, herbs, spices, and smoke came together in joyous harmony, dancing on my palate like a well-rehearsed symphony. The side of mashed potatoes was likewise delectable. As I approached my last dish to be sampled, I allowed the smoked meatloaf to leisurely exit my senses and then and only then did I sample the Smoked Mac & Cheese. This was almost as good as the Smoked Meatloaf. It was creamy and smokey, the pasta was cooked to perfection and it was above average. Nothing wrong here at all. If it hadn't been for the arid wings, this would have been a 4-star review. Smoke is the theme here, from the name to the menu. I'm all for that, as I love good slow and low-smoked meat. The Big Boy says, "Smoke 'em if ya got 'em and head to Doc's Smokehouse. You won't be disappointed."

I couldn't finish. That was the leftovers

The coleslaw was a close second. My hubby tried the surf and turf. WOW! That portion was huge, too. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by all the staff even though there was a small line. During the time we were dining, we saw several staff members making their way to all the tables to make sure they were all clean and ready to go. We will be back!

I have been coming to this area for years to take pictures of rocket launches and wildlife photography and I saw those 2 buildings being built from the ground up and in front of just empty space and an old establishment... now this brand new fast food/ BBQ place with a modern vibe, catching music and a good selection of different food, from fish (flounder btw) to shrimps, pulled pork, ribs, and more. The service by the young fella at the counter was friendly and fast, I got the Pulled Port platter with Mac and Cheese and French fries, they made the fries on the spot so it took about 5 minutes for them to join the rest of the food. The pulled port is leaning sweet, which is not how Latinos are used to, it was also a little cold, maybe just warm, the M&C was excellent and the fries super good.

The $10 lunch specials are an incredible value--you get an entrée, a side, and a drink included! I had the fried fish with collard greens and carrot soufflé, plus a Coke Zero, and everything was seasoned just right. It was so good I came back for more! I also tried the wingettes with lima beans, another Coke Zero, and finished it all off with a slice of sweet potato cake. Absolutely delicious. The portions are generous, the food is flavorful, and the atmosphere has that down-home Southern vibe that's comfortable and welcoming. Nothing fancy--just good food, good value, and good people. I ordered the Baja shrimp taco, a cup of creamy poblano soup, teriyaki veggies, corn slaw, and the black beans and rice--mostly to get a sense of portion sizes and flavors since it was my first visit. The Baja shrimp taco was the standout. The flavor was excellent, and the cool, crunchy slaw paired perfectly with the shrimp. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. The portion sizes were solid; for lunch, I can easily see that one taco with a side would be more than enough. I also appreciated how many vegan options they offer--it's great to see a menu with so much variety and flexibility. The restaurant itself is cozy and inviting, with a friendly ambiance and artsy, metro-style decor that makes it a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy a meal. The only small downside was that some of my items weren't quite warm enough, but it didn't take away much from the overall experience. I'd definitely come back to try more items, especially the Japanese ginger salad, which is next on my list.

On a Friday evening, however, the entire parking lot was full so it was a no-go for us. Kind of glad it turned out that way, though, because Plan B landed us on the moon, aka The Space Bar. The view from the rooftop is stunning! Really the best part of the experience. Menu prices are reasonable. The signature cocktails are fun and certainly worth trying. Food is average. Interactions with our server were awkward at times, but mostly attentive. Getting water we asked for was a challenge, though. I would definitely return. It's a cool hangout spot.

Ambiance: 9 / 10 I love a good theme, and this place fully commits. Everything is space themed, from the decor to the menu. Even the elevator ride up is part of the experience. It is designed like a rocket with a countdown playing, which was such a fun touch. Once you get upstairs, the view is incredible. You can see the Indian River, and if you happen to be there on a launch night, you get a direct view of rockets launching from Kennedy Space Center. That alone makes this place worth visiting. Service: 10 /10 I ended up joining a larger group, and anyone who has worked in a restaurant knows that can be a challenge. Our server handled it so well. I wish I had gotten her name because she was amazing. She kept up with everyone, made sure drinks and food were coming out consistently, and stayed friendly the entire time. Seriously impressive. Food: 8 /10 I ordered the meat lovers flatbread and the Causeway Cosmo. My guy got the tuna poke bowl and an old fashioned, and we also had some nachos at the table. The flatbread was really good, nice and crispy with great flavor. The poke bowl was decent. He enjoyed it, but I am a little picky with poke. The drinks were solid too, well balanced and easy to enjoy. Overall, I am really glad I checked this place out. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a visit.
