This small mom-and-pop diner reminded me of a waffle house only cozier booths. Very busy, but they really move a lot of hungry people through fast! I enjoyed one of the best breakfast meals I have ever had here! The Spanish omelet with chorizo was prepared perfectly and sided with hash browns with peppers and onions, piled up more than I could eat at a price that makes you want to return tomorrow! My coffee cup remained topped off from a friendly and attentive server. Makes me wonder why Downtown diner can do this for 25% less than the beach town diners on the west coast? read more

I've been sleeping on this place! But I'm happy that I woke up! Lol! I've avoided it mainly because of the parking/location. It's attached to a motel and parking can be a little challenging. The inside isn't super big but they do have approximately 12 booths and 4 counter seats. It's a popular place so you may have a wait. They close at 2pm so come early. Lunch starts at 11 but breakfast is served all day. My first visit I tried the pork chop breakfast. You have an option of fried or grilled. I chose fried. Their waffle maker has been down so my son got chicken tenders and French toast. I didn't know what to expect but it was all delicious! They hand bread their chicken, pork chops and fish which makes a world of difference. They are seasoned and fried to perfection. On our second visit my son got the pork chops with home fries and in his words "they will change your life"! Lol The are tasty too! This place should definitely be on your list to visit! read more

We went here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The interior is somewhat small, not a huge amount of seating. We only waited about 20 minutes for our larger party to be seated, so not too bad! Service was attentive and quick. The classic diner food was very tasty! read more

Located in the heart of Titusville, the Downtown Diner has its own parking lot that offers easy access. Very relaxed atmosphere with a view of the kitchen make it a fun place to people watch. We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. I loved the menus that offered large size font, and not sure if that has to do with the demographics of the area but it sure made it easier to read! Some cool historic photos on the wall make for an interesting read. The restaurant is clean and our server was super friendly and efficient. Once our order was taken we literally had it on the table within minutes. Nice offering of fresh food, breakfast and lunch, right off the grill with healthy options alike. Great place been coming here for 5 years Reasonal prices isn't great service. Particularly a fan of their pancakes and large crispy fish fillets available with breakfast and lunch dishes The diner is attached to a motel. OK the motel looks a little bit sketch or at least like a mom and pop hotel from 1974, but the diner is clean, friendly and tasty. I think some of the booths even have USB ports to charge your phone while you wait. It can get rather crowded rather quickly on the weekend, but they cycle people through pretty fast thanks to their very fast but friendly service. read more

Great service. Friendly staff. Great variety of lunch and breakfast items. I had the steak and cheese omelet. It was cooked perfectly and tested great. I asked for extra crispy hash browns, which I got. Waitress was attentive and checked on us several times. My wife ordered a special sandwich they had that day, the monte cristo. She said it was wonderful with their raspberry sauce. Alana was our server and she was great! Highly recommend giving them a try if you're in the area. We stopped here after leaving our ship on a Saturday morning. We weren't sure if we would be able to get a table because of the time, but we walked in, and we were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. Our server came over and got our drink orders, before returning to take our breakfast orders. I had the Tropical Acai Bowl, minus the bananas, and it was superb. I wasn't able to finish it because I also had a waffle, which was cooked to perfection. I would have loved to take my leftovers with me, but we had a 5 hour drive ahead of us, so I knew the acai wouldn't survive. The only complaint (and it wasn't really a complaint) we had was that my friend prefers his scrambled eggs a little more "well done". So, if you're like me and prefer softer scrambled eggs, you won't be disappointed, but if you prefer them more cooked, you should ask for them to be scrambled for a little longer. Everyone was very friendly, the service was quick and efficient, and we will definitely be returning after another cruise. A come as you are establishment, but don't. Wear a jacket at the very least. Temperature in the dinning area is lower 60's. And eat fast as your food may well be cold before you can finish enjoying the meal. Tap water for drinks needs to have the pipes or water filter serviced as there is a chemical taste to the water. Food is good and portions are generous. Prices reflect INFLATION. Service so-so. read more

I love local diners like this. We had a table near the front and I noticed that the staff frequently greeted arriving patrons by name. Pretty cool. The service was very good and prompt. You can see the kitchen staff hustling behind the counter. Our order was filled quickly and it tasted great. They kept our coffee topped off and check-in with us periodically. It was a popular place on Sunday morning so parking was getting full by 8:30am. I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in Titusville. read more

You will stop going outside." This is how I feel when I see a breakfast/lunch diner pop up as my next place to review. Most of the time, it's the least common denominator ingredients with a five-thumbed line cook coming off a three-day meth binge. Downtown Diner is the exception. Brissa was my server for this encounter, and she was absolutely outstanding, garnering a 50% tip. I don't write this because she slipped me some Danegeld to do so; I sincerely mean it. I asked Brissa the Admirable for a Smoked Sausage and Egg Platter with sides of home fries and a biscuit, as well as an order of the Lobster Roll with some fries and a lone Pancake. If you turn your ocular apparatus to the pictures, you will see how delicious everything looks. The enticing aromas arising from the various victuals assured me it was going to be as good as it looked. I grabbed my utensils of provisional annihilation, cut off a chunk of the Smoked Sausage, and commenced to chow down. Not only was this Smoked Sausage huge (write your own joke), but the flavors emanating forth with were outstanding. This sausage was complex, delightful and absolutely cooked to perfection. The home fries are hand-cut and cooked to order. These are some of, if not the best, I've ever had the pleasure of scarfing down. The over-medium eggs were done with the same aplomb as the sausage, and don't even get me started on the made-in-house biscuit! It goes without saying that everyone's Grandma is jealous of these biscuits. Look at the size of that thang! Regretfully placing my silverware down, I forced my appetite toward the Lobster Roll. As with all bread-based items, it begins with the base. This roll was fresh, warm, crunchy and chewy as it is written. The Lobster was hand-cut, succulent, sweet, tender and a delight on the palate. The freshly sliced tomato and crisp, green lettuce were perfect accompaniments to this gastronomical giant of a sandwich. The side of fries, however, was a huge letdown. They were your typical frozen food service junk. They were cooked correctly, they just had the flavor of fried cardboard. The pancake, like the biscuit, is made from scratch sans box mix, and Holy Aunt Jemima, can you tell! This flapjack was huge, fluffy, tasty and bursting with flavor. It is obvious that someone here cares about what's being served. From the giant smoked sausage to the fresh-cut lobster, hand-cut home fries, and freshly made biscuits and griddle cakes, you can't miss. The only flaw here is those dastardly, flavorless fries. If you are going to bring it on 99 out of 100 items, make that last effort! The Big Boy says, "I highly recommend this diner; just skip the fries." read more

I had a classic burger, medium rare, with Cole slaw on the side. The burger was outstanding! The coleslaw-good, but a touch of sweetness flavor that was not my cup of tea. BRW, my hot cup of tea was delicious. My companion enjoyed a filled cheesesteak sandwich that he said could've used more cheese but overall very good. He enjoyed the coleslaw side & also chose the hot tea. Finally, our waitress was also terrific! She was timely & checked on us several times. This kitchen is French trained... I think. Best authentic omelet I've had in a while. Thin cooked, not burnt, light cheese, shaved steak, minced peppers and onions. Fantastic. All other omelets will now be compared to this one. Home potatoes were solid. Bit crispy, chunky, homestyle. Biscuits are made in house and gravy has been seasoned with care. The savory smell gave me the heads up I was about to enjoy it. My one mistake was not getting the gravy on the side so I could enjoy half the biscuit with jam. Can't comment on the biscuits, fluffiness. I suspect they would not disappoint. Needed a sweet fix, so I ordered the bread pudding. Good taste, nice try. My idea of bread pudding is thick, sticky - almost pull apart monkey bread. This was thin and dense. Still delicious. There are many specials. You could visit here for breakfast and lunch for a week and not be bored with your choices. Hot tea? Two choices. My brother joined me for a coffee. Declared it a 5 out of 10. Good. But not great. Very nice diner! I expected something run down, but it was clean. The staff is friendly and the food is good! The bathrooms were even clean! The only downfall is limited parking and when someone parks their truck with a boat attached to it across 5 parking spots, you have to park somewhere else and hope you don't get towed. read more

Definitely a diner, which I love!! It's connected to a Budget Inn, right near the water. And everyone is a regular. I sat right up front, & watched the cooks joke with each other while tossing pancakes in the air, the waitresses were efficient af, & the service was FAST. Everyone who came in was greeted, seated, & had their food in 5 minutes or less. It was insane. I'm only knocking a star off cause I'm a grits snob & I had to add a lot of butter & salt to these to make them taste good. The portion are enormous. And they really leave up to you to customize your meal. I don't like butter on my toast, so I appreciated them bringing it to me, plain. Plus they take Apple Pay & that was so convenient as I left my purse in the car. Most meals are $11.99 & under. The coffee is a little more expensive than most places, but they keep your cup full lol. read more

I went there with 2 friends around noon. I had breakfast they had lunch. We all had basic comfort food. They raved about their BLT's as well as the fries. Lovely local spot for breakfast! They're usually busy but the wait is worth if for the food and great service . We sat next to the kitchen and man were they working hard pushing out orders! While we were there they were so busy on an extra cold morning that they ran out of biscuits and grits. But not to worry, they were able to make another batch of both in short order. The sleeper hit was actually the side of whole wheat toast. Not sure who their provider is, but it was the heartiest, thickest, and best whole wheat toast I've had in a restaurant!
