Biscuits n Gravy, eggs, hash browns and bacon

Food: Nothing to fancy but good standard diner food. I had the biscuits and gravy w/ hashbrowns, eggs and a side of bacon. Service: very sweet and fast Ambience: Again, nothing fancy just a classic diner.

Two eggs over medium, hash browns, bacon and raison toast. Very good. A charming local place with fantastic food choices.

A very charming local place for great food. Very friendly staff and wonderful selection of food choices.

We arrived early Sunday morning around 6:30, there were a few customers seated already, server directed us to seat ourselves. She came over right away with menus and to take drink order. I saw there was corned beef hash on the menu so I inquired about it, this establishment makes theirs with brisket I like mine made from canned corned beef so I passed. I decided on the half order of biscuits and gravy with hash browns and scrambled eggs, I also had a side of bacon. Food arrived ( it took a bit to get as all orders are made to order) hot and fresh, I thought the gravy needed more pepper but it was made neutral so as to accommodate everyone I suppose ( you can always add seasoning not remove it!) Eggs and hash browns tasted great but were a little greasier than I am used to. Bacon was crispy. Husband also had the biscuit and gravy breakfast and was happy with it. Portions were plentiful and prices were appropriate. I will be adding Broad Street Diner to the breakfast rotation. Dining room was clean, flatware a little flimsy and ambient music on TV's could be replaced with something a little more upbeat.

Eggs, hash browns, sausage links, pancake

We have been twice and have really been wanting to like it but the food is lacking. The first time my kids loved the waffles and they were big with nice looking toppings but my hash browns were very greasy and overall the eggs and sausage were lack luster but fine. We tried a second time today ordering the corn beef hash Benedict and crab Benedict. Both came without hollandaise which we had to ask for and the hash browns were under cooked and even greasier than before. The English muffin was not toasted. The hollandaise did taste good, and I enjoyed the crab, but overall nothing was really good enough to come back. Atmosphere was okay. Basic diner. Server was friendly. I had higher hopes. Maybe we will give it one last try down the line and give them more time to sort it out.

Hot Garlic Parm wings too good!!!

A diner that stays open in the evening is not that common, but here we are!…read more A short stroll from our hotel on an early Saturday evening found us there at this classic New Jersey-looking diner (Looks like a silver railway car) Inside - the olde school diner decor with photos of Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando and others on the walls Service was very good - our young lady informed us before we ordered that the kitchen was very busy (nice touch) In the end, food came out within 15 minutes of ordering...set expectations low and deliver high = super service So...onto to the food Shepherds Pie exceeded my expectations; although it always comes with carrots, they were substituted by green beans and it worked Great food, fast service...you will not be disappointed

2 Stars I hate…read moregiving anyone a two-star review, especially for breakfast--my favorite meal of the day--but unfortunately, this one just missed the mark for us. The biggest issue was the quality of the food. If you're going to charge around $15 for a breakfast, put a good-quality sausage patty on the grill. It doesn't take much to make a flavorful sausage gravy from scratch either, but this gravy tasted like it came straight from a bag or can and had almost no flavor. The biscuits themselves were actually pretty good, but pouring margarine over the top completely changed the taste. The sausage patties weren't very good and seemed like they'd been left on the grill too long. The fried potatoes were decent, and so was the sourdough toast. The staff was nice and working hard--they were extremely busy. There were a lot of people in line, so clearly plenty of people enjoy the breakfast here, and the place itself has an interesting atmosphere. The price didn't help. $4 for a Sprite is overkill. We had one breakfast with an egg, sausage, toast and home fries, one waffle, half an order of biscuits and gravy, and drinks, and the bill was over $40. At that price point, I simply expect better-quality breakfast ingredients. This is just our experience and opinion. The staff was friendly, and considering how busy they were, I give them credit for that. Maybe we'll give it another shot next year, but this time around, the quality just didn't match the price.

He was a riot just as nice and friendliest can be! Gotta start with that truly made us feel valued. When you walk in, you can tell this as a family owned establishment by the atmosphere. That is exactly what we were looking - something local owned and preferably family owned. When you walk in, you're made to feel like Family, and that is excellent! The food wow the portions are humongous. I have to start with that. You definitely will not leave here hungry! The corn beef was fresh. I wished it had more onion and some bell pepper, but it was still great. I sampled the chicken salad and that was out of this world and the hamburger looked fantastic. As we were leaving, they had just put out muffins and cinnamon rolls. What a tremendous tease! Here it is Passover so I cannot have it and pistachio muffins are my favorite and they looked phenomenal. I was so tempted to break Passover so early for the looks of that muffin, but I knew it was a test that I had to pass. That was not easy! This was definitely worth the drive and the value for the dollar! Next time I am in Daytona, I will be visiting again and Katie bar the door if there are no pistachio muffins, ha ha ha they were even warm!
