The service was amazing. The employees were so polite and patient. There is outdoor seating that is first come, first serve and outdoors. It has several fans and is shaded. Well, the reviews really speak for themselves. I think it's a little misleading to call this a "kebab" house. Really, the beef kebab wasn't all too bad. I liked the spices on it and it was tender. The unfair part is that it's one small-ish kebab skewers per dish, and of course you way over pay for it. I think at least 2 skewers would be much more fair. But, like I said, I really actually didn't mind the beef skewer, and together with the pita bread, lettuce and sour cream it was decent. I enjoyed the Greek Salad as well, though that was about as basic as a salad could get and once again cost too much. This is a small hut food stop in the Lost Continent section of Islands of Adventure, and it definitely seems to get lost indeed amongst all the other meal choices and things going on at the parks- for good reason. read more

We stopped by Doc Sugrue's Desert Kebab House for a quick snack before lunch. The kebabs were not ready so we picked up some of their appetizers and fruits available. Reviewing the menu, we selected the hummus and pita, along with a fruit cup. The order was approximately $12.00. The fruit cup was relatively large, enough for my daughter and I to split. The fruit was fresh and scrumptious, especially on a hot summer day! The Hummus dip was good. Pita, carrots, and celery were provided for the dip. There isn't too much seating available. There are several tables with covered seating, however, raindrops to drip through the ceiling, so, be careful covering your food appropriately if you're eating at those tables. This is a good quick service spot if you're looking to avoid sit-down restaurants or mobile order locations. This is some very descent food for an amusement park! We live in an area with a lot of shawarma and kabab restaurants, so we were excited to see this as an option at Universal (it was also an option at Cabana Bay hotel). True, all food here can get pricey, but we do enjoy a nice, fresh chicken and hummus option with some good pillowy pita. They offer a few nice outside seating under a tarp, so you can eat in the shade. There are not too many tables, but usually enough for a few families. The food is obviously not as good at the restaurants back home, but I applaud Universal for offering more than just hotdogs and pizza. For health conscious guests, this is a great place to eat as well. Plus, this location is not too hard to find, not located in an obscure place. The combo came with no drinks but a snack size bag of chips. Excellent option - specially the Greek salad (hummus included) and the beef kebab. As any other food stand/food cart/restaurant in a theme park, a little overpriced. They really need to take better care of the dining area (tables located nearbt): a lot of pigeons are waiting to ruin your experience. As a rule of thumb, remember NEVER TO FEED THE RATS, and take care of the leftovers after you finish. During my visit, the garbage bin was full and spilling over. We tried to use our annual pass discount, but the cashier refused because she said it "takes too long." It's difficult to find utensils, and they were out of forks. The seating area is dirty and unregulated. People who weren't even eating were taking up space, one to a table, preventing paying customers from eating and no staff there to regulate this. I got a veggie "combo," which was one kebab of zucchini, squash, peppers, and onions plus a piece of pita, some gross white stuff and soggy lettuce and tomato. They give you a nice size pita with some yogurt sauce in it, and when you scrape the kabob into the pita, it's not bad at all. I expected the park to be pretty empty in January but forgot it was Saturday of a 3-day weekend. Every quick service we stopped at had a long line and Mythos had a 90 minute wait for a table. We ended up here simply because the line was short. Everyone ordering the beef kabobs got their food quickly but we had a longer wait for the chicken kabob we ordered. There were about 6 chunks of chicken on the kabob along with a few pieces of peppers and onions. The chicken was flavorful but on the dry side. The kabob came with a pita and a bag of chips. The food is over priced and quality is lowest. They know the customer they have are captive one with very limited option and most of these customer are not going to come back in any case. A food joint with the price and quality of food they have cannot survive in outside market, not even for a month. To top it off, the seating place across is too shady where crows and pigeons are waiting to finish off leftovers, which is plenty only an ostrich can finish what the put on plate.
