    Smoked Gouda Mac n cheese

This might just be the best food in the area and I hesitated writing about it because we love this spot so much that we hope it stays that way even if it grows popularity. The chef smokes all his own meats and they are so consistent to taste that it blows your mind. These might be some of the best chicken wings I have ever had. So flavorful with the dry rub they use that it has you craving for more the minute you clear the plate. The walleye sandwich pan fried comes on fresh bread with lettuce, tomatoes and an aioli sauce. The smoked Gouda Mac and cheese is so flavorful you could order it twice (for a meal and dessert) and that's what we do, have done! It's best to dip your fries in the leftover cheese sauce. The smoked salmon in the cesar salad is some of the best smoked fish I have ever had. For dessert order the raspberry cheesecake, you won't regret it. You won't regret anything on this menu. Eat it all!

Walleye Sandwich on Ciabatta roll with remoulade with fries; prepared blackened. They also offer two other preparations. Delicious!!

Recently went back and their menu has changed again. The Ahi Tuna Nachos are wonderful! Huge chunks of cold tuna, perfect ratio of toppings to chips. The BBQ wrap was a stand out and really filling! Friendly bar staff with a beautiful view of the lake.

    Whole Fish appetizer.

This restaurant/bar is at the old Quarterdeck property and for the past couple years was under lease from a different restaurant group. It opened this spring under a new lease/company and renamed Dock 77. The facilities are nearly identical to its predecessor. Inside as well as outside dining, overlooking the shoreline of Gull Lake. Same docks as before. So what is different? The menu and the staff! The food is contemporary and upscale at highly reasonable prices. And the staff are cheerful, helpful and friendly. My wife and I boated there with a friend and met 4 other friends there for cocktails and dinner on a beautiful summer evening. We started off with an unusual appetizer named "whole fish" (see photo). It looked odd, but the flavor was tasty. Once the platter arrived at our table, several other tables around us suddenly ordered the same appetizer, wanting to try it too. I had the brisket sandwich with fries. Very delicious and tender meat. Our waitress was busy with other tables, but did a fantastic job being attentive to us too, not missing a beat. Overall, nice new establishment on Gull Lake. Well done guys!

The BBQ here is awesome. Try the brisket ends and the chicken wings. Also has good selection of local beers.

First time visit for breakfast based on recommendation from another fantastic local restaurant…read moremanager. The homemade jumbo carmel rolls (to go) were a hit with the kids and were still warm when I got home. The server waited to have to heated up until I was ready to go to ensure they would be warm. It was a great touch. Based on the recommendation did the breakfast burrito. So glad that I did as it was a meal for 2 but filled with eggs, sausage, bacon, cheese, shredded hashbrowns, and maybe some grilled onions. Then topped with queso cheese sauce and the option for spicy or default homemade salsa. I did the spicy salsa on the side for my half and the regular salsa on the side to go for the other half. Definitely a burrito for two. When the bartender found out that this was my first visit she walked me thru the menu and the specials that are available on the weekend (limited quantities smoked ribs and beef brisket) So glad that a trusted voice recommended I give Sunshine's a try. Great food and great staff.

Third time here and I really like this place. This time it was for breakfast and man was it good…read more The Brisket Scramble was amazing. Really good brisket with perfectly done eggs. Ask for the spicy sauce you like some heat. The Avocado toast was also tasty. Dinner or lunch has also been good with unique options and chef made food. Check out their cool cocktails. I has a really nice Paloma that was absent the grapefruit syrup that usually makes these too sweet for me.
