I think this is actually called The Quarterdeck Grill. Ate here a couple times while staying at the resort. The cocktails were decent, as was the lunch/dinner food. Pros - Friendly service - Views and atmosphere are great. - Cocktails were decent. - The lunch and dinner menus were good (not great though). Cons - Breakfast was trash (and I say this as someone who is NOT a picky eater). - Also, you can only order your eggs scrambled. Why though. - Overpriced for the quality. Overall it's a decent option if you are staying at the resort but I wouldn't expect to be blown away. read more

We have been coming here for as long as I can remember! It's all about the view here, but the food is decent too, so Quarterdeck is a regular in our rotation when we're at Gull. I am a big fan of their giant pretzel appetizer and cheese curds, then tend towards a French dip / beer battered fries or a burger for my entree and those are typically good as well. I would love to love the walleye tacos and the presentation is beautiful, but I think there's better walleye to be had at the lake (the sandwich at Ernie's comes to mind). Service is friendly and usually fairly prompt. Looking forward to lots more summertime meals here! read more

This might just be the best food in the area and I hesitated writing about it because we love this spot so much that we hope it stays that way even if it grows popularity. The chef smokes all his own meats and they are so consistent to taste that it blows your mind. These might be some of the best chicken wings I have ever had. So flavorful with the dry rub they use that it has you craving for more the minute you clear the plate. The walleye sandwich pan fried comes on fresh bread with lettuce, tomatoes and an aioli sauce. The smoked Gouda Mac and cheese is so flavorful you could order it twice (for a meal and dessert) and that's what we do, have done! It's best to dip your fries in the leftover cheese sauce. The smoked salmon in the cesar salad is some of the best smoked fish I have ever had. For dessert order the raspberry cheesecake, you won't regret it. You won't regret anything on this menu. We've been here a few times now with varying experiences. When the food is good, it's very good. Unfortunately half the time we've waited so long for it that it has come out cold. The prices are a bit higher than other places on the lake but it's a decent spot for lakeside views and a quick app. read more

Poor quality of food. Walleye fingers and walleye tacos are over cooked dry and void of flavor! If you must eat there just order a Caesar salad. read more

Recently went back and their menu has changed again. The Ahi Tuna Nachos are wonderful! Huge chunks of cold tuna, perfect ratio of toppings to chips. The BBQ wrap was a stand out and really filling! Friendly bar staff with a beautiful view of the lake. read more

There are no recent reviews, so I'll just start off by saying that Dock77 is currently serving their "winter/spring" menu, which means no jerk chicken, no smoked brisket by the 1/2 lb or lb, no smoked gouda mac and cheese, no blue cheese potato salad... basically nothing that made us choose to eat there, lol. HOWEVER... after we took a moment to be sad and the disappointment subsided, we decided on the brisket potato boats for an appetizer, the braised short ribs with cheesy au gratin potatoes and green beans for him, and the blackened walleye sandwich with fries for me. The brisket potato boats were good, but pricy ($14) for only three of them. Our mains were fantastic! The husband practically licked his plate clean. The walleye was super flavorful, and I loved the lemon remoulade. Our server gave us great service, and I don't think you could ask for a better view of the lake. I'd like to return when they have a more extensive menu (I reallllly wanted to try that epic looking smoked gouda mac!), but definitely recommend others to give it a shot in the mean time. read more

Starting with our overall review: Fantastic! My husband and I went on a quiet Tues evening (day after Memorial Day) so it wasn't very busy. We ordered the custom burger and chicken sandwich and both were cooked to perfection, and the flavor on both was outstanding. Note that the chicken comes with a "relish", which we thought was pickles of some sort, but it was not anything pickled. It was a flavorful tomato, garlic, parmesan topping that completed the sandwich perfectly. The burger with brisket amazing and cooked perfectly as well. Service was friendly and attentive. read more

We snowmobiled to Dock 77 today for lunch. It was FANTASTIC! This restaurant looked like it was newly opened and/or remodeled and it was absolutely lovely! We ordered many items : lobster tails, burgers, etc. our favorite was Chef Shawn's Brisket Wrap! It was one of the best wraps I have ever had. We highly recommend this restaurant....very delicious. read more

This restaurant/bar is at the old Quarterdeck property and for the past couple years was under lease from a different restaurant group. It opened this spring under a new lease/company and renamed Dock 77. The facilities are nearly identical to its predecessor. Inside as well as outside dining, overlooking the shoreline of Gull Lake. Same docks as before. So what is different? The menu and the staff! The food is contemporary and upscale at highly reasonable prices. And the staff are cheerful, helpful and friendly. My wife and I boated there with a friend and met 4 other friends there for cocktails and dinner on a beautiful summer evening. We started off with an unusual appetizer named "whole fish" (see photo). It looked odd, but the flavor was tasty. Once the platter arrived at our table, several other tables around us suddenly ordered the same appetizer, wanting to try it too. I had the brisket sandwich with fries. Very delicious and tender meat. Our waitress was busy with other tables, but did a fantastic job being attentive to us too, not missing a beat. Overall, nice new establishment on Gull Lake. Well done guys! read more

We live across the lake from here and the food is delicious! They struggle with staffing as do most businesses these days but they do try their best. Just know it may be a limited menu somedays during the week. read more

I can not recommend Dock 77 based upon my most recent visit. Something has changed and this place has fallen off the rails. We've had good meals here in the past and the setting is nice inside or out on the patio. The service has always been iffy but usually the food is good. We checked the menu online before reserving but the actual menu bore no resemblance to the advertised menu. It's 2021 how hard can it be to keep the menu up to date? On our recent visit we started with the tuna poke nachos which consisted of soggy wonton chips topped with a microscopic portion of tuna and a week's supply of rancid pickled ginger. The cook has clearly never eaten this dish. It wasn't worth the $20 investment. Our entrees included a dry chicken breast sandwich on a stale commodity bun, a hockey puck of a burger, some forgettable ribs and the so called Iven's walleye. Well, I worked awhile at the venerable Iven's and they wouldn't have let that overcooked petite fillet out of the kitchen. Service was slow despite a full compliment of wait staff. Management was sitting at the bar. All the trash cans were overflowing. I hope this place can get its groove back but until it does we'll be dining elsewhere. read more

Food is usually great here but between the limited menu and overwhelmed service it was not even close. The atmosphere is a terribly polarizing and irresponsible state. Staff hardly bother with masks except as elbow apparel, and most OSHA COVID-19 standards seem have been tossed into the lake. My large family was in attendance with children and pregnant women. I literally observed more garden care than responsible action towards a global pandemic. read more

If you like tiny glasses of wine in plastic sippy cups, Moscow mules in plastic cups, and about 4 options for dinner, this is your place. The apps were pretty good. I know the employment crunch has been very hard on area restaurants but it was pretty embarrassing paying premium prices for that experience. The bill wasn't even itemized-just the total. We had a wonderful evening at Dock 77. Boated over and had a nice group of Dock support greet us. The outside was full so we sat in bar area with great view of lake. Our waitress - we did not get her name - she was awesome. They were very busy and she kept the smiles coming and made us feel welcome and well served. The wait was reasonable considering how busy they were. The chicken bruschetta sandwich delicious! The walleye chowder was awesome- great flavor - and wings hit the spot. Glad to see Dock 77 back to full menu and such terrific staff on board. One of favorite spots! We'll be back. read more

The menu this year is awful and the service worse. The only saving grace is the bartenders are always on too of things. If you are out on the lake a great place to make a pit stop for gas and drinks. If I could give this place zero stars I would. We have gone to doc 77s multiples time and every. Single. Time. The service has been terrible. The servers are disoriented and not kind. Gave us water with bugs in it, gave us wrong orders, forgot orders, made us wait 2 hours...you name it. My family and I are done going to doc 77 and if you haven't ever been then congrats because you just avoided one of the worst dining experiences in Minnesota and probably all of the Midwest. read more

Everything/everyone BUT the staff that work the Dock restaurant are great! Especially the front desk staff. Most of the servers are oblivious to patrons waiting, or simply don't acknowledge your presence. I experienced this 3 times in the 6 hours within arriving. Not impressed at all, nor will I recommend the restaurant. read more
