This is a classic need-to-go place if you're in the area! Whether you get there by boat, car, or foot the charm of it doesn't get old. This isn't a fancy place, so don't show up expecting anything but a delicious burger and fries joint. I've been coming here every summer for close to twenty years. As far as I can remember the quality hasn't changed at all (it's good). As for pricing? It's really only changed to accommodate inflation. The burger is the classic choice here BUT I am told that the Greek salad is also good. Honestly I can't be bothered to ever change my order because... well why mess with a good thing? ‍ Their fries are AMAZING. They're crispy and not too thin or thick cut. Gravy is complimentary, because sometimes you need a little bit of extra gravy in your life. You'll want to sit outside if the weather is even kind of nice. The patio is covered, which is great. Really...COVID has been here for 2 years. You'd think that businesses would have learned how to deal by now. Got to this place at 1125 on a Thursday; there was one group of four waiting to go in. The tables inside were empty but there seems to be no table service. You have to go through the servery and order and then take your food to the table. No problem, right? Well, after 15 minutes we and the four person group were still waiting outside. No personnel to explain what was going on; no signage explaining the process; eventually we just left and went and got lunch elsewhere. They are probably still waiting... I can't express how great this place is. I have been going to the dock lunch since I was 7 years old, I am now 25. my grandma used to take me here every morning for breakfast before school when I was with her. even after 18 years I am not disappointed. I order the exact same thing each time I go (that's how delicious it is). I get the souvlaki on a pita, with a wedge poutine on the side. this restaurant is actually owned by someone from greece. so the hidden gem of the souvlaki is quite rewarding. I award one star because there is some nice poster, memorabilia on the walls. The food is probably the worst I've had; overcooked fish that was neither fresh or cooked properly. Rubber hamburgers. Terrible facilities, unkept bathrooms and unkept structures. Staff either not trained or simply don't care. It's kind of heartbreaking because this place once was the best. Came here for breakfast, got the WFDL sandwich on a kaiser. It was really good, a fast food feel but healthier. I hear their burgers are best in town, will have to try them next time. A must if your in the area. read more

We're very excited about having afternoon lunch and cocktails, but alas. No alcohol served. Ok, no problem. Then went to pay, no credit cards accepted. Cash only (or Canadian debt cards). Hmmm... So then went to pay with US cash, no exchange rate offered (Currently 1.00USD=1.32CAD). Very unfair. Strike three. Stopped by this place because of the signs we saw while driving around. Great location with outdoor seating right on the water's edge in the harbour. The staff was awesome. My wife and I both had the fish and chips which were very so-so. I also had a milk shake that was also just adequate. The final straw was the World Famous Butter Tarts. I love butter tarts and these were supposed to be home made. They had raisin ones so we got two of these. Extremely disappointed. No raisins and mine tasted like they filled a tart shell with buttery pancake syrup. We won't be back. read more

I was there last night Friday dec 28th I ordered a cheese burg and onion rings .I took some time to get the burger finally got it but they forgot my onion ring .she had to order it I had to wait for it I was done my burger . other people were having the same problems not getting all they ordered . not sure why the staff was not with it last night food was great but would be nice to get every thing I ordered . this is the first time I have had this problem same staff just not with it last night read more

If you haven't been you should. Eat outside on the edge of the gorgeous Georgian Bay. Take your food to go or eat inside. The place is always busy. Lines are huge. You can call in your order to be picked up. My parents always make sure that this is in the agenda when we visit .. Don't let your eyes fool you into ordering too much. read more

This place advertises itself as "World Famous", however I don't understand how. It's typical beach side fried food you can find near any lake in Canada. I ordered the banquet burger and fries. Burger was dry and the fries tasted exactly like those McCain shoestring fries you can get from any super market. The only saving grace was the bacon on my burger, which was thick cut, smokey and salty. Not like the cheap bacon you find on fast food burgers which I expected. My other half had the fish and chips and the place brags that the fish is hand battered ... it was uniformly shaped which suggests mass produced and he said it didn't taste fresh, yet frozen! NOT what you expect from a Northern Ontario Fish and Chip place RIGHT BY THE LAKE! Was in Penetanguishine and thought would try 'World Famous' Dock Lunch. Fries thinner than any I've had even out of a frozen bag(actually tasted like they were reheated)The two piece fish was the size and shape of a 'Pogo' battered wiener. Only good item was the fresh condiments dill pickles, tomatoes etc. for the hamburgers and hot dogs. Two meals were just under $30. Old signed pictures were interesting though. read more

Your best bet here is the burgers and fries. My preference though is the wedges. Yummy. Surprising, for a waterside restaurant the fish is terrible. The souvlaki on a pita is good, but I now make this at home for a fraction of the price. Anyway, on my last visit the girl at the counter charged me for an extra fish dinner and made no mention of it until I asked to see my receipt because something seemed odd about my total. This business has been around for decades. Today went for breakfast and seriously my dog loved it, as for myself was crap. No one in the restaurant yet precooked dried out bacon, home fries were prefrozen store bought crap 2 medium sized eggs 2 toast and that's it. How can you call this a "big breakfast"?.
