This restaurant had a very extensive menu - the portions were huge and delicious. I had the chicken Alfredo, which had some vegetables in it and basil in the Alfredo sauce. It was delicious. Yesterday my son ordered 2 Hungarian schnitzel dinner from Phil's to be delivered to the house. It was my husbands 75th birthday and with this coved 19 ,it was the best he could do. I went with my Fiance, MIL, and her boyfriend for a meetup. We were kinda given a hard time because we wanted to sit in the back instead of the front. We were told it was dirty. We said we had no problem waiting. Once we finally sat down, menus took quite a while to be brought out. So long that my MIL grabbed some LOL!! It wasn't very busy (about 6 or so people) so not sure what the problem was. The reason my rating is so high is because afterwards our server was so kind. The food was great ( my omelette was a little overdone in my opinion [and I mean the tiniest bit], but better overcooked than undercooked.) The homefries were great!! Everyone else's food came out perfect! I'm going back again tomorrow for brunch with my friend so I will change or update. read more

We have been here a few times b4 today. At best it was ok but we like to support local so we gave it another try. It was busy but got seated quickly. We placed our order and when we got it the bacon was completely raw, eggs cold and we asked for our hash browns deep fried and it came half raw. We sent it back. It came back even worse and tasting like pure onions. It was the worst experience we have ever had. Needless to say we ate hardly anything. When the lady came to take away our plates I showed her the above and suggested she show the cook so maybe next time they could correct it. She said Phil the owner was the cook and she walked away and threw it out without even showing him. How can u make things better if u don't address it? We came here especially for the ribs. They ran out of rib specials and it was only 730pm. They ran out of spaghetti pasta. Seems like poor kitchen planning. Food took well over an hour to arrive and the place had only three other tables with patrons. The said one cook didn't show up, but the issues we had went beyond that of a missing cook. I ordered a side salad and so did another person they didn't serve it with the rest of the salads. After 75 minutes, they only brought part of the tables orders while the others waited.Given they were so late in bringing the main dishes out, at least they could have had the courtesy to serve all of us our salads to fend off the hunger. But not apologies or offer to bring them out earlier. Fries were stale. Overcooked and seemingly had been left standing around. One person at our table said worst he has ever had. In my book may be the worst or tied for so. Very unappetizing. They said only a couple more minutes for a simple fish dish, and it was fifteen more. Fish undercooked and it was last. Portions not very big. Really loose and shoddy service. Management apologized only at the end. No one tried to help up out while all the waiting was happening. Something was really wrong here and they should have been forthright immediately. The people I was with raved about their experience here last year. With tonight's poor show, they are saying never again. read more

We came to Phil's twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. Both meals were good; the breakfast even very good. This is a family-sty;e restaurants with good options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had a ham and cheese omelette (lots of ham!!!), cinnamon french toast and coffee for breakfast. The meals were plentiful and tasty. For our dinner there, we had fish and chips, pan-fried pickerel and the grilled cheese kid's meal, all of which was good. The beer selection could have been better, but that's a minor concern. Service was quick and very friendly. We would definitely come again when in the area. read more

I was at this location yesterday for their Friday Special...fish and chips. I have not been more disappointed with a meal before. The fish were two small pieces (credit card size - batter included) of halibut. If it was not for the batter around the fish, I don't think I would have found it in the bed of fries!! It was not cheap either. On special it was $15.99 plus tax..$18.05 in total. When I called to complain about it, he hung up on me. Yes I understand that everyone has to make money, but please be fair. On hindsight I should have gone to Dock Lunch. read more

Whenever I am in town I eat here. I love when I stop in on a day I can get the lamb with greek salad. Everything I have had is SO good! The only thing I have ever thought could be improved upon is the lack of real maple syrup. Great pancakes or french toast should not be paired with table syrup. read more

One thing you can often say about Phil's is that you won't leave there hungry. Portions are very generous. I love going for the all you can eat fish night. Sure it may only be Pollock, but it's all you can eat. read more
