Less then impressed. I think to fully enjoy this place you would need to be seated outside near the water. Or be regulars and know the staff. We were seated in the upstairs area. Which was incredibly hot and stuffy. Took the staff about 20 min to finally do something about it (they tuned the AC on). The restaurant lacks literally any decor. Like at all. Which is kinda odd. I ordered the London broil, it wasn't seasoned at all, and the cut of meat was subpar. For $18 (on special for the night) they only offer one side with it which is either baked potato, fries, rice, or broasted potato. Most restaurants usually offer two sides with a meat entree, sometimes even with soup or salad. But not here. The two star are for the staff. They were all very nice and very pleasant. read more

Service was outstanding and our waiter was amazing also. I feel bad for they are definitely short handed so be prepared to wait. Overall the Ambiance was beautiful as it always is. My biggest complaint is the Food. I ordered the prime rib and lobster and for $50.00 I thought I would be gLondon Broiletting a decent steak at the very least. Nope tmthe prime rib came out cold, and was the dryest meat I've ever had. I literally couldn't even swallow small pieces. They didn't provide Ajus and when I asked for some the waiter brought me out a huge cup of ajus. Only probably is the ajus was for a French dip sandwich not the ajus(Gravy) you usually get with prime rib. Honestly the salad was the best part but I would hardly call it a salad with a few pieces of lettuce 2 cucumbers and 2 cherry tomatoes. We were also disappointed to see they no longer the salad bar. I will also say that my lobster tasted very rubbery. We did mention how dry the steak was to the server but he pretty much gave us our check and went on to the next table. That being said we will not be returning to this establishment anytime soon. Sad because we used to love it. The potatoe wasn't bad, and the best part was the fresh hot bread. London Broil I just think they could of done better for the price. My wife had the fish fry and said it was just okay. Do better Dockers. Came here on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We were seated right away at the dock outside which was great. The server came around a few times at first to get our drink orders and then disappeared for quite a while. We had to go looking for him so we can place our food order. Went to dinner the night before my wedding celebration and left my phone on the table. The next morning went to find it and they wouldn't even look for it. A friend also tried and the manager just kept saying we don't have it. We spent 45 minutes on the phone with AT&T to get GPS proof of where it was and showed it to the manager. The manager was SO rude. He wouldn't even take my husbands phone # to call us if someone turned it in! I will NEVER go back. We had 90 people coming to a party that afternoon and none of my family or friends could contact me. We waisted hours trying to get my phone back. It could have been given to us the first time we went there if they would have spent 5 minutes looking. Thank goodness the hostess finally helped on our 3rd time there. It was in the hostess stand. Decided to give this place another chance, as I hadn't been here in a few years. Was sorry I did so. Service was great, but food was just eh, as most food on the chain seems to be. No taste to anything. I had the Southwest Burger and fries and the burger was definitely some frozen thing. Good size, but I had a hard time believing it was 100% angus beef as the menu stated. My friend had the Greek Chicken, which consisted of pan fried, boneless, skinless chicken tenders on a pita. Well things have certainly changed and not for the better. 1) if you use a credit card be prepared to pay a 3 1/2% surcharge. 2) No salad bar/soup bar, I get it, but the prices did NOT have commensurate decrease, in fact, they have increased substantially. 3) Quality of food has decreased, NY Steak Sandwich for example, had a good deal of "grizzle." We had an exceptional experience! The waitress was really nice and always checked on us. Definitely better service than most restaurants! They have an option for a full salad bar with meals which is stocked with cold pasta, beans, and tuna pasta too. I had a blu cheeseburger which was full of flavor and it was 1/2lbs! I'm wondering if this will be the last time I eat here. I was introduced to Dockers in 2002. I like that the food is things mom or grandma would make. Simple but tasty. I never came often as it's about 45 minutes from my home and nothing else brings me out this way. But I make a point to a few times in the year to enjoy the view of the lake. I was surprised to hear from the waitress they had no Mountain Dew tonight...on a Friday night. Seems odd to me and it is on their menu and I've had it before here. I ordered water with lemon instead. I got a very skinny slice of lemon-not a wedge with the water. I was the only party of one and perhaps I see why...because I don't feel valued as a patron because both the host and waitress gave strange looks when I said one. The salad bar is still good and was really all I enjoyed tonight. The hot beef sandwich was barely warm when served and it was very bland. The potatoes I swear must've been instant. Maybe my tastebuds have changed, but not sure I'll be back again. Sad day. read more

Really 3.5 stars, the extra half being for the patio...it really is very nice. Beyond that, the couple times I have been here the food has been fine, but I found it kind of pricey. I am not a huge salad bar fan but there's plenty of folks who see it as a big value add. It strikes me as a higher end place for older more moneyed patrons, which I'm sure pack it during the summer months. Not really my first pick in the area, but I wouldn't avoid it either. As some of the places in the area during the summer get kinda "high-fivin' dudebros doing shots", I'd say that this certainly would be a place to avoid that. We have been dining at Docker's for years. Since we have been back numerous times this summer, I am so disgusted with the wait staff. I know they may be short handed, but at least two times we have not been waited on. Then took forever to get drink order and the food. There was confusion as to who was waiting our table. Have not gotten orders correct and the waitress was not nice about making the order right. We still gave her the 20% tip because that is the right thing to do during these difficult times. Have not seen the owner around all summer during the dinner hour. He is usually there all the time. Don't know if this is the reason for poor service and mixed up orders. I have been a customer for about 15 or more years but...food is decent. $55 for 2 burgers and fries, 8 coco shrimp w salad bar and a spinach salad w chicken. Called to place and order and had to call back because the menu on their website doesnt describe ingredients in salad and he didnt want to make a mistake. Then unfortunately my son came home as soon as i hung up from placing the order so called again and pretty much was hung up on mid sentance. I went in to pick up and felt like i was given an attitude from man at the counter whom was the man i was given an attitude placing order. The waitress was pleasant who rang me up but all prices were more than website advertised. I asked her about it and she said "thats what the computer tells her". And no to go menus to reflect true price either. Then I paused as i walked out to verify all meals were in the bag and he sternly said "theres 4!" Didnt say thanks for coming or have a nice night. A very disappointing experience after enjoying this spot for years. I ordered shrimp djeon and had nearly no bread crumbs. A side salad with no cucumbers and got wet lettuce wit 2 tomatoes. After finishing I asked for the manager he said "that's the way it comes" rather rudely. He said "if you want more bread crumbs you have to ask. Before the pandemic they offered an amazing soup and salad bar. As I ventured inside I find the space to be taken by slot machines. Wow You've lost us forever. We went tonight as a last minute bday dinner. There were four of us and we sat near the large window overlooking the deck and lake. Our waiter was very attentive even during a very busy dinner rush.
