Came on a Tuesday night and got broaster fried chicken for $8. What a deal! It was tender and tasty and above average for bar food. Service was attentive, the patrons are friendly, and there is cornhole and beach volleyball outside. They have live music on the weekends, too. There is not a lot of space inside, so more folks enjoy eating outside it would appear. They have an average selection on drinks on hand. If you want a solid place to eat and have a nice drink without breaking the budget, I would suggest Bootleggers any day. read more

The food was surprisingly amazing! The bartender was so sweet, personable and quick! She made an amazing pineapple margarita! I had a turkey sandwich and my partner had some type of burger that had blue cheese crumbles. His Bloody Mary was great also! I loved the pickled vegetables that came with the drink! I no longer live in the area but I will be making this a regular stop from now on when I'm visiting! Ambiance is chill, laid back. Happy to update my review to a perfect 5/5. This is my favorite place in Antioch to get food. You cannot beat their prices and how dang good the food is. They have even have soup flights! Some of my go to orders are cheeseburgers, potato pancakes, wings, and soup! I have never had a bad bowl of soup from there. It's always amazing! read more

I WAS OVERCHARGED $20.75. Keep in mind this "Asshole charge" is an item in their pos system they use to regularly overcharge their patrons. BTW I wasn't an assh*le as people have been asking/assuming , as if that would give them the right to steal from me. read more

There was a negative review that almost turned us away from this location, but I'm so happy we did not miss our opportunity to enjoy the wonderful food here. The place was slamming. It was a Sunday afternoon and the bartender was the waitress as well. She was very sweet and the food was excellent. We had the broasted chicken dinners with real mashed potatoes. Bootleggers is a great spot for great food. The restaurant was fairly full but the service was rather quick and the food was nice and hot. I tried the fried mushrooms and road king burger. The mushrooms were delicious and the dipping sauce was creamy and flavorful. The burger was huge, loaded with tender sautéed mushrooms, and accompanied by very tasty fries. Service was very friendly. Typical dive bar atmosphere, limited parking, but decent menu selection. I tried the mega bloody Mary, and it was a fun experience - cheese, veggies, pickled cucumber and green beans, fried mushrooms, cheese curds, mozzarella stick, ravioli, gyoza, chicken wing and mini taco. I couldn't finish everything. Hubby got mozzarella sticks and the booty burger with tots. The mozzarella sticks were burnt, but I think that was an unfortunate byproduct of them trying to fry the garnishes for several bloodies and those at the same time. What a fun place to go hang out on a Friday night! Lots of friendly people, a very hardworking staff throughout, and some terrific food and beverage make this a great time in a casual - dare I say backwater environment. The appetizers are five stars, no question. Breaded mushrooms were juicy and the cheese curds were crispy and gooey and perfect. The burgers were fine - solid sandwiches but nowhere near the level of the apps - and the $5 Friday night long islands were potent and perfect. A big note: Come to relax. If you're thinking this is going to be a place clicking like a big box brick and mortar - well that's just not the pace here. They keep a tight team running it, so when it's full you'll just need to be patient - and they're clear about that as you walk in. Had the soup flight which is 3 cups of soup that you select from a list of soups. It was very good and we shared it like an appetizer. I had the Italian Beef sandwich with mozzarella cheese. The sandwich had a pile of beef and was delicious. My 2 friends had the Philly Cheese Sandwich and they were very happy with it. read more

Also, I was handed a unwrapped straw that the server was holding like a hammer and expected me to put that in my mouth, NO thank you! Your typical bar spot that has above average bar food and a good Bloody Mary. We went on a Sunday around noon and it was fairly busy. Nothing too crazy. Wings and tenders were awesome !!! Bloody Mary was 4/5. Very good. I felt bad for the bartender as she was the only one managing the large bar and all of the tables. She did an amazing job and didn't let it show. The only entry to Blarney's Island is by boat or a boat shuttle. The shuttle costs $15 per person, children 12 & under are free if accompanied by an adult. I think this is expensive to be able to attend this bar. So $15 to get there and then an expensive beverage. I didn't realize they served food there. I saw a sign for peanuts and popcorn. I saw a menu on a table but was never offered one. I obtained a drink from the bar and then sat down at a high top table on a stool. Yesterday they had a good band. We were there for about 1 hour. This would be a nice place to take someone from out of town, but prepare to spend some $$$$.

My pancakes were very good, and her Scrambler was great. I love the smashed potatoes at the bottom of the bowl. Prices are reasonable and service is very friendly. The patrons are all very nice. I bumped into a buddy there, and some woman gave my wife a homemade cookie that was delicious! Can't wait for our next visit!

I've been to Bootleggers Bar & Grill a few times and it's always a fun spot. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and being right by the lakes makes it even better. It's a great place to hang out, especially when the weather's nice. The staff is very friendly and the crowd is the same way, which makes it an easy place to relax and enjoy yourself. Our family just moved here went there last week, it was the filthiest place we have been to, and manager Donna stewart was in bathroom and didn't wash hands plus after that straight to bar where she continued to bad mouth one of their employees Since this virus thing has happened they are only thinking of themselves. Curb side pick up doesn't help those employees. A company at a time like this needs to support their employees and maybe just maybe wash their hands after a bathroom trip. Uh folks, these things were huge, the first I've ever seen in a bar. Tasty, they were with the house sauce. Thin batter and very moist. I also ordered the fries. A mistake on my stomach, I couldn't eat them all and they were big Crinklecut crunchy fries. Everyone I asked in the bar eating said their food was excellent. So I can imagine the rest of the food. Eugene, one of the owners, was cooking. He was also pleasant to talk to. I saw their wings and they looked yummy as well. Be advised that none of their chicken is frozen pre-battered. Hint hint. Is why it's so good. It doesn't appear there's anything on tap if that's important to you. Drinks were a good pour,but don't expect them to have everything. They have a DJ playing on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday's; which gets a decent crowd according to the bartender. It's a mixed crowd when it comes to age. Overall, there's nothing negative to really say about this bar, and that's very rare for me. I will revisit because of the atmosphere and food. Locals need to visit this place often. Great job, Railhouse.

And IMMEDIATELY, 2 of the employees and four of the patrons were by my side, helping me push the car over the tracks. WHEN THE TRAIN SIGNAL STARTED RINGING. And these people pushed my car over the tracks in one last push, and got me safely to a parking lot. They helped me back to the bar safely, helped me arrange a ride, and were incredible. So if you want a place where people are genuinely good people and will help a total stranger in a bad situation, you found it. And from what I recall, they make some AMAZING White Russians.
