Cute spot by the lake. Small parking lot, might have to park on side streets. Nice staff, service was quick. Food could've been better, I ordered fish tacos and sweet potato fries. There was more cabbage slaw than fish in the tacos. See pic below. I also paid the extra for the perch but I'm not even sure I received that. Another friend also ordered tacos and had healthy pieces, not sure if it got mixed up or the kitchen just gave me small chopped fish. read more

Was driving through Lake Zurich with my husband and wondered upon this place that is directly across the late. I immediately googled if they had gluten free options and was pleasantly surprised (a whole separate menu). The service unfortunately was not good. We had a newer server that looked absolutely lost and who also didn't know the menu. Thankfully someone else eventually came over to verify the order she put in. My husband's lunch came well after I finished my food; the guy that helped us earlier apologized and explained our server was new. All that being said; the food was ok, but overpriced even with rising costs. I would recommend this location during the warmer months for a drink and an app. This place is chill and brings a lot of locals in. Dogs are welcome on their patio. read more

Camilla was our waitress and hostess and everything. She was so sweet even if we came in at 9:15pm and they close at 10pm and they allowed us to still order any food. Thank you to the chef for that! This place is right across the street from yet...another lake! Lake Zurich is full of homes and restaurants that have a lake right across the street so it's beautiful and promotes taking nice walks before and after dinner let's say. Food was fun and good but the shrimp was a bit salty and the fish and chips were good with crispy light batter. Free and open parking. read more

Jack Daniel's burger is a five. Fish and Chips is a five- the star is the tar tar sauce. Waitresses were attentive and friendly. Refills came out on drinks and when one noticed that our main waitresses. We sat outside and view of the lake was wonderful. read more

Needed to fill up on cheese curds (best in Lake County) and tots because the patty melt was horrible. On white bread, barely toasted and tasted like old margarine was used. Service was sub par. Waitress was more interested in her friends sitting at the bar or her social media on her phone. No wonder the dining room was almost vacant Not sure what has happened to this place. This restaurant has a simple menu of burgers and salads. I tried the burger, side salad, french fries, and curly fries. Everything was delicious and very fresh. The waitress was super nice and we had a nice view of frozen Lake Zurich in February. read more

What a pleasant surprise! I stopped in here not knowing anything about the place. I was hungry and looking for a quick bite. When I walked in, I immediately realized it was a sit-down restaurant, not order at the counter. I considered leaving, but a friendly waitress greeted me as I walked in the door and I decided to stay. The place is clean and minimalist, with a beautiful view of the lake (Lake Zurich). I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich, fries, and a coke. It was all very good. They offer a variety of grilled and crispy chicken sandwiches, along with burgers, wraps, pulled pork, and more. My waitress (Megan) was awesome! Bobbers offers good food and service, in a nice setting. What else could you want? I will definitely be back! read more

I've been holding off on reviewing this place as it is one of mine and my wife's favorite places to go in the warmer months. We love their outdoor seating area. You can look across the street and see the lake and it's just peaceful and tranquil (yes they basically mean the same thing, but so what. This is my review). They play great music and it's not too loud (so many restaurants screw this up - turn down your damn music!). Anyway, the seating area is great, you can sit in the shade of an umbrella or enjoy the sun full blast. There isn't enough parking, but so what, the food is good, drinks are plentiful, and ambiance is great! We come just ourselves or with friends. We love it! I guess I should talk about the food. It's great and nothing fancy. Which is why we love it. You can come as you are and enjoy a good sandwich, burger, appetizer, wings, whatever...it's all good. Tre drinks are fun and great too. They don't under or over pour and are perfect for lazing the day away enjoying good company at this hidden gem! read more

The place is cute but small. Very loud and while our server was very attentive the food wasn't all that great. We both had the fish fry which honestly looked like frozen Gordon fish pieces. Good Food With Lake View We visited Bobbers on a Sunday for lunch and it was very good. It sits across the street from the lake and has a nice patio with umbrella covered tables and provides a great view of the lake where we could see fisherman, boaters, skiers and tubers. They have a full bar, offered good sounding signature cocktails and numerous beers both on tap and can/bottle. I chose a tasty Crystal Lake Brewing Fox Rocker red ale ($8.00 pint). We selected a Buffalo Cauliflower appetizer ($11.95) and it was perfect. In just a few minutes we were served a very large portion of lightly breaded, fried cauliflower florets that were tossed with Frank's buffalo sauce - not real hot. Ranch dressing came with the order. 3 people could easily share this. For entrees, my wife selected the Greek Chicken Pita ($15.95). She loved it. Greek seasoned chicken with onions and tomato, served on a warm pita with tasty tzatziki sauce and fresh lemon wedges. She also selected a side salad which is in the available included sides. I had the Baja Burger ($16.95). One half pound Angus beef burger, hand formed, with pepperjack cheese, sliced avocado and fresh pico de gallo on a sturdy bun along with sliced red onion, lettuce and tomato. Very good beef flavor in a substantial sandwich. I also chose a side salad. The salads were fresh, cold and crisp. We recommend this place for comfortable dining with a lake view. read more

Came here a couple of weeks ago with my family for the first time and we were extremely impressed. We got here a little earlier than opening, but we wanted to sit outside, so they allowed us to sit at a table on their patio even before they opened to look at the menu. 2 other tables of people also came early, and they allowed them to sit on the patio early, as well. Obviously, our service was great the whole time we were there and our waitress always checked up on us and gave us recommendations on what they are known for/what is good. The patio is not huge and it is pretty far away from the small lake that is across the street, but it made for a relaxing atmosphere nontheless. For my food, I ordered the cajun cod sandwich and it was amazing. You can tell it was fresh and the flavor was phenomenal. I got curly fries on the side. Everyone in my family ordered different things (mostly different kinds of burgers), and everyone I was with raved about their food, as well. I was debating on whether I should get the tots or the curly fries for my side, but I chose to go with the curly fries, which I am happy about because my fiance ordered the tots and they were a little dry in my opinion. He also ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich which I would love to order the next time I'm here. We ordered the cheese curds for an appetizer and these were AMAZING. They had a perfect cheese to breading ratio, and you can tell they were never frozen. The waitress even said that none of their food is ever frozen. I did not get any alcoholic drinks here, but they do have tropical-type drinks and a beer menu. I did try a little of the Bloody Mary and it was delicious. Overall, I will definitely be back here and try some other food and drink choices! So delicious. read more

We went to this location for a short time on Monday for some drinks with some work colleagues and returned today; this was a horrible polar opposite experience. I watched our server talking to friends and paying little attention to her customers, one of the tables she was serving got fed up and left. Lots of apologies, but nothing improved as the night went on. It's unfortunate when a place with this great atmosphere ruins a good time with poor service. My mom and I wanted to grab lunch & she had recently discovered this cute spot on the water. It's a pub/ sports bar style vibe inside, but clean and bright. There are plenty of tables indoors and outdoors. We decided to sit outside to enjoy the view of the water. I was surprised by the high quality of the food! The burger was not your typical sports bar frozen patty, but was fresh and juicy with lots of fresh avocado on it. The fish was excellent, flaky, fresh, light breading. The cauliflower was a huge portion and also delicious. Positively surprised by it all! Service was pretty good, the place was packed (understandably so), so I understand having to wait a bit. I'll be straight up... I love Bobbers. This is a great neighborhood sports bar, with a surprisingly great selection of draft and can beers. I haven't tried any of their specialty cocktails, but they all look super tasty as well. I've worked my way around the food menu in the handful of times I've been to Bobbers, and everything is always outstanding. My one tip - get those curly fries. I made the mistake of getting regular fries once, then was staring down a plate of curly fries as my friend had made the (obviously) correct choice. In the summer, the outdoor patio is a great space, but I always like to sit inside near the big windows so I get a great view of Lake Zurich. Bobbers gets crowded for almost every meal on the weekend, so I like to come on the off-times so I can sit, relax, and make my way through the beer list. read more

MICE!!! We were seated in the dining room and saw mice. No one, but TWO mice scurrying around the table behind us. I immediately alerted the "manager". He did no react. Didn't even walk over to take a look. The bartender said, "we're aware of it." No one that worked there seemed surprised or concerned. I understand that restaurants likely have mice. However, if they are out and about in a crowded restaurant, it's indicative of a much bigger problem. Disgusting. read more

My boyfriend and I went here last night. We had extremely terrible service. We asked for waters and it took about 10 minutes just to get them. Then our server didn't come back for about another 20 minutes. Then we ordered drinks and an appetizer. It took about 10 minutes or more just to get the appetizer and drinks. Then our server didn't come back for about another 10 minutes or more to take our food order. We didn't our food for about 20 minutes. We ordered 2 more drinks which was a beer and another mixed drink. The beer took 20 minutes to get and the mixed drink took about 15 minutes. Our server never even bothered to ask us how our food was. We complained to the manager and he took $25 off of our bill. I didn't even tip our server because the service was so bad and she sucked. We were there for almost 2 hours because of this crap service. We will never be going back there again. They have lost our business for good. I would recommend not going to this place. read more

Even though it's across the street, we had a great vista of the lake while eating lunch outside on the spacious terrace. Hubby's hamburger was tasty and my Fuji apple salad w/grilled chicken was perfect. The Bears were playing and the large TVs were well placed inside, but we could see the game from the outside.
