Dockside Cannabis SODO is a hidden gem in this busy SODO neighborhood. Best pot shop to visit if you're coming from a game at T-mobile park or Lumen field. It's seriously 2 blocks away, like right there! From the light rail it's a 10 minute walk and so worth it. The vibe is super chill, no pressure or feeling intimidated. I had a great conversation with the budtenders about THC CBD ratios and got turned onto some insanely delicious moxey mints (which btw are discreet and perfect for game day JUST SAYIN). Everyone is nice and knowledgeable. DID I MENTION THERE IS A MUSEUM? The only cannabis museum in Seattle and it has some very old looking bottles and things, pretty neat if that's what you're into. There's also a terpene station to help you figure out which cannabis profiles will give you the best high. It's very cool. Overall, I had a fun time shopping for weed, it was like a whole experience. Awesome place. Learning about the legality of cannabis in Washington State I decided to stop into this store after arriving into Seattle airport. If you should be traveling to Seattle you should make this place your first stop too! I didn't know what to expect in a cannabis store but what I found was one of the richest and pleasant retail experiences of my life. I came here and not only was greeted, but my guide dog was ggiven treats, I got an ounce for 75 bucks, and other exciting products for an incredible price. Truly awful experience at Dockside. I bought a pax and cartridge a little over a week ago. I was told to hang on to the receipt in case there was a problem. Well there was a problem....either the cartridge or the battery wasn't working correctly. I was told that even though I had my receipt they couldn't do anything for me because I didn't have the packing for either product. Further more they told me I would have to deal with pax itself to get a replacement. As they were not allowed to take back. So I went to my usual store (Lux) and bought a new setup. Not only did they try to see what the problem was with the dockside setup they gave me all the info to get a replacement from pax. Dockside did neither of these things. Lux also gave me 20% my entire purchase to spread some good energy! Never doing business at Dockside again...... read more

Goodbye to what was once my favorite Dispensary I had been a regular customer at Dockside. They always had a good selection on hand, and were always very helpful when I needed a particular product (either helping me to find it or, occasionally, special ordering it). That has all changed. This past week I called with some questions on their inventory. Their menu no longer lists the cannabinoid breakdown of their products. When I asked why by phone, the woman who spoke with me said it takes too much time. When I asked her what they had on hand, she was mostly unhelpful (she was busy counting money she said) and borderline snippy. I no longer live nearby, and driving 45 minutes each way in Seattle traffic just to see if the MIGHT have something I could use seems ridiculous. She even went so far as to tell me that state law prohibits giving this sort of information out by phone. Whaaat? I had never heard that before, and 3 other dispensaries that I called said they not only never heard of this, but that they would be more than happy to help out. This shop has a wide selection of products but the staff that helped me was so unhelpful. I told her I was a noob but what I was looking to accomplish but thank goodness I've smoked a few times before because I felt like I had to guide her in selling. The guy as the door was super perky and made it very welcoming but then no one offered any help. When I was able to get a girls attention and ask for help she showed me a few strains but wasn't offering any information about them or why they are different. In the end I decided to pick a Sour Tsunami and was then asking about vaporizers. She didn't seem like she wanted to sell me anything as she pointed to the one they had but didn't offer any information about it other than saying it was expensive. She walked to the register and was starting to ring me out without even checking if I had any way to smoke it... which I didn't I had to ask her about pipes and the types. gotta say, not what I was expecting at all, not that I really knew what to expect. the store itself was well laid out and welcoming, even with a person at the door checking IDs. it was probably the clean, uncluttered sitting area at the entrance that helped ease the tension of a posted door guard. when I arrived on an early Friday afternoon it wasn't very busy so I was helped immediately. the salesperson ended his conversation naturally and welcomed me despite my very forward exclamation of newb status. Mike answered all of my questions honestly, was in no way pretentious and took his time to ensure I knew what I was getting by showing his best suggestions plus many alternatives ranging in price, quantity and potency. it seemed like he was feeling out what I knew so he could be a better guide and I really appreciated his effort. I'm sure when it's busier some customers may not get the same level of service I received and to those I recommend trying them again when they're less busy. no business can give everyone the level of attention they deserve unless they have the time plus you the customer puts in a little effort, too. with the experience I had at Dockside, I don't need to go anywhere else. read more

My first visit to a legal weed store, and I didn't know what to expect. Kind of as exciting as being a twenty-one year old guy visiting his first nude bar, or buying his first legal drink. Dockside was recommended by one of the staff at Bernie Utz's hat shop, so that's where we went. I found it to be a relaxed, clean, comfortable store with a mini-hemp museum, as well. Vinnie answered all of my questions, and I felt no rush to buy anything, although I did.The product exactly fit my desires, and I will certainly return here when I next come back to the Seattle area. Dockside is my go to place for all my weed needs. They have an excellent variety with very knowledgeable employees that find exactly what you need even if you didn't know you needed it. You can also find food, drinks (pop and tea), and many beautiful glass bongs and piped locally made at great prices. Dockside also does a customer sign up that is easy with no paper work. You just type in your phone into their little iPad and it create an account with your phone, keeping track of points you can build just by going into the store! These can be used to get discounts on products or if you just want a free lighter. Which is helpful. I loose mine all the time. (Dude, those lighters are cool! It's refillable and the top part comes out as a little stick and you can use it to pack down a roll or help pack down the bowl without getting keef on your fingers. It's pretty cool! Oh, and the size of the flame in perfect. If you're using a small pipe, you don't have to worry about burning your eyebrows to take a hit) So, shout out to my two favorite people at Dockside! Cody, you are a life saver! If anyone has an issue with a product or is confused to how some products work, Cody is the man to straighten things out gracefully and with tact. He has excellent knowledge of the laws that keeps his establishment running but also knows how fixes issues while still abiding by those laws and rules and keeps the customer happy. The Cannabis business is tricking with all of the regulations and laws surrounding it and Cody is very respectful of those and of the customer. He is most certainly a very valuable member to Dockside and I hope to see him where his ambitions lead him. My other favorite person is Jona! If I see Jona is working, I would gladly wait for him. He is very friendly and very knowledgeable of his products! I am always happy with what I buy when I go to him! And I'm not someone who likes to try new things. If I like it, I keep with it because I worry about spending money on something I would have to power through with disgust. But with Jona, I just tell him the kind of high I'm looking for or what CBD level I'm going for, and Jona is on it! He always gives me a couple options to look at. So we come to a place down the road from Safeco field and they are in a business that is quite booming these days. However weird it may seem, retail cannabis is a bitter sweet product of its environment. When things went main stream in Seattle,I for one and many grew concerned for the plants well being. Putting it into the hands of the government has proved to be the very Capital C in Controlled Substance. They are definitely testing new strains with a variety of agricultural results in Washington state following the big move to the retail cannabis industry. Hemp fest has been a staple of the sea culture right along side the space needle and EMP but now with its perpetual daily administration every where here, the culture has actually lost some of its former exuberant vibes. Don't be afraid to test this place out as they provide a warm and welcoming experience to the culture if you're a newbie, however to a veteran consumer you might feel like big brother is always going to look after things.
