WOW! What a great find. We purchased almost every fish one evening to have a seafood family sampling dinner, and it was AMAZING! The staff was so wonderful in making recommendations, and their patience too as my mother asked many questions. Everything was fresh and fabulous. I also purchased the crab dip bread bowl as an appetizer, and the key lime pie as dessert. So delicious!! And grab a bread baguette as well... this was a huge hit too. So good we had to visit a second time to pick up our favorites for a final snack before heading home.

    Clambake

Had the clambake combo #3 and added sausages. It was incredible. Was just the right amount of seasoning for most people. If you like extra seasoning it would be super easy just to toss a little more in there. The per serving was a good amount. We had 4 kids, and they didn't eat a ton so we had a lot of extra. My favorite was the Andouille Sausage. It was spicy, but in a good way. Lot of what I get nowadays is bland and that wasn't the case here. The people were great... saw a couple ratings where it was different but talk to like 4-5 people while I was there and everyone was super helpful and nice.

This was a last minute decision to stop in for shrimp when we couldn't get the large quantity we needed at Harris Teeter. The price was comparable to HT, maybe $2 more than the sale priced shrimp at HT but less than the shrimp at Food Lion. We could have driven to Kill Devil Hills for cheaper seafood but we didn't want to make the drive just for shrimp. The money we would have saved on the seafood would have been spent on gas. We needed 10lb of shrimp and there was more than enough in the store. We also took some mussels and used both for a seafood boil. They have everything you need in here including seasonings, utensils and sides. Conveniently located near Corolla which is where we stayed.

    Mussels

The freshest seafood around. Had great mussels from here. Hurry as they close during the off season

Can't say enough about the service and the quality of seafood they have. Very helpful and our seafood purchased was so fresh tasting. It was amazing. Highly recommend

We got the clam dip and the clam chowder. Both were great! I've never had clam dip before, and there were good amounts of actual clam in it. The clam chowder wasn't as thick as new england clam chowder, but it was still really yummy and flavorful.

She crab soup was good but too thin!

Great little seafood market. Excellent assortment of fresh fish and shrimp. We didn't get any sides this trip but they all look good.

    How is the tomato pie?

A tomato pie is the best side dish in the south. I sauté garlic and butter spinach. Then layer tomatoes spring onions and green cheddar cheese in a old fashion pie crust it’s delicious.

The ready to go steamed shrimp were so good I picked up another couple pounds to go on the way out.

I started with a quite interesting drink because I was intrigue when I read "goat cheese vodka".... Goat cheese vodka, strawberry syrup, blanco vermouth... very tasty! You would never know it's goat cheese vodka, just made it taste creamy and smooth. I'd definitely get it again. For an app we had the fried gnocchis which were tasty, but I guess I wished the portion was slightly bigger because it was so good! Our meals were huge though so we left there quite stuffed. My husband had the wild boar special with mushroom and English pea risotto and it was good! I had the shrimp and grits with gravy on top. It was pretty good but not something out-of-this-world. Plus It was such a hot day that I was sweating by the end of it I would order something different if I went back. Our bartender was super friendly and talkative, he knew his stuff. Between my husband and I, we had 3 cocktails, a glass of wine, an appetizer and 2 entrees and our meal came to about $180 with tip. All in all, a good meal!

The staff is always quick to help fix any issues that arise and they are kind and knowledgeable. The sound side dining is nice and perfect with a breeze. The only negative is that it can get quite hot, which is obviously no fault of the restaurant. Always a great to-go option if the heat is too much to dine in. Also to note is that they have a great selection of beers. This is a family tradition we love coming back to each year and will continue to for years to come!
