Pork BBQ Sandwich with potato salad
    Carlie A.

Only wandered inside long enough to be told there was a wait and then promptly enjoyed a seat outside so unsure how accessible the indoor space is. There's at least no step to get in. Absolutely delicious food and friendly service. Started with the Buffalo Mahi bites (yum!) and then had the crab cake on a gluten free bun with gluten free fries! Was shocked when the waitress told me the fries were safe to eat. Hubby had the BBQ sandwich with potato salad which was also excellent. Would absolutely come back.

Food was outstanding! I had the special which was a lobster tail, mahi fish, scallops, shrimp, baked potato, and veggies. The price was very reasonable for all of it and everyone bite was delicious!

Ate my food too quick XD

I came to this place hoping to try their famous crab cakes, they did not disappoint! Great food, great service, loved everything about this place! Would include a pic but I ate all my food too quick!

Found this place on yelp and decided to pop in for lunch. The service was great and our waiter was so friendly! I decided to try the mango margarita and it was just ok, exactly what you would expect. For lunch I ordered the lobster roll and crab cake sandwich. The lobster roll tasted like it came straight out of the fridge and did it have mayo? Not a fan... BUT the crab cake was probably the best crab cake sandwich I've had in a VERY long time. Not too breaded and very meaty... loved it! Would definitely return for the crab cake sandwich!

We went for lunch around noon on a Monday. The restaurant was busy and check in was a bit chaotic and crowded due to the small size of the restaurant. However, once we were seated we were greeted by our server promptly. The food and service were good and it's a nice option for a quick, simple lunch.

Could have sworn I'd left a review before, but if not here it is (or an update at least)- Coastal Cravings is a required stop on our annual OBX trips, usually at least twice haha We like getting the steamer pots to make a dinner back at the house and when we come back to return the pots, we stay for lunch :) There are 2 variety of steamer pots, both come with corn, sausage, and potato in the mix, so you simply choose which seafood combination you prefer. The pots are built/priced in individual servings so you can pick and choose how many of which kind you'd like. The instructions (included of course) are straight forward and easy to follow. Just account for some time for the pots to be assembled once you order, and then to get to your kitchen, and then to build up that steam ( 'a watched pot' and all that...) Not a fast meal option, but always a super fresh and satisfying one. That being said, you can pick-up the pots using their drive thru lane window! haha For the dine-in experience, they don't take reservations, so at busier times you may have a little wait. The parking lot is also small, so you might end up across the street, but the speed limit is low in Duck, so crossing shouldn't be too tricky haha There is some patio seating when the weather is accommodating, and inside there are a handful of tables and bar seating. Service is always friendly :) I don't know if it's just my bad luck that none of the seafood restaurants in the DC suburbs seem to have clam strips? They are a favorite of mine at and I guess it's in the name, but Cravings clam stirps always hit the spot for me! Their fried shrimp, fish tacos, and yes even the cheeseburger, are also family favorites. If it floats your boat they have some cute merch options by the door as well. My sister and I couldn't resist the Triple D Guy Fieri t-shirts cause we're fans haha Beach trip isn't complete without a stop here :)

This was a small spot with outdoor seating. There also was a bar outside, but not sure if it was part of the establishment. The menu was diverse while the service was friendly. The food also came out very fast. For an appetizer, the hushpuppies ($7) were ordered. They came with whipped butter, but it was in the small packages. There were twelve medium sized balls that were fried appropriately and came out extremely hot. They were very tasty. There was a nice batter to filing ratio with plenty of flavor. I had the fish tacos ($15). There were two large tacos with beer battered rockfish, jicama slaw, chili lime mayo, and Pico de Gallo. They were stuffed appropriately with a lot of slaw. I would have preferred the rockfish to be a little bigger, but it was not a big deal as they were good and fried nicely. The mayo was a nice touch with the rest of the filling. I opted for the potato salad as a side, and it was pleasant. I also tried the fried green tomato sandwich that came with basil goat cheese, roasted red pepper, and a balsamic reduction. This was well put together. Every component of the sandwich complimented each other nicely. Will I go back? Yes.

I started with a quite interesting drink because I was intrigue when I read "goat cheese vodka".... Goat cheese vodka, strawberry syrup, blanco vermouth... very tasty! You would never know it's goat cheese vodka, just made it taste creamy and smooth. I'd definitely get it again. For an app we had the fried gnocchis which were tasty, but I guess I wished the portion was slightly bigger because it was so good! Our meals were huge though so we left there quite stuffed. My husband had the wild boar special with mushroom and English pea risotto and it was good! I had the shrimp and grits with gravy on top. It was pretty good but not something out-of-this-world. Plus It was such a hot day that I was sweating by the end of it I would order something different if I went back. Our bartender was super friendly and talkative, he knew his stuff. Between my husband and I, we had 3 cocktails, a glass of wine, an appetizer and 2 entrees and our meal came to about $180 with tip. All in all, a good meal!

I would have also liked to have rated this place higher but I can't in good faith do that. The resort is dated. The staff are all very nice but this is a resort standard. Nothing was exceptional or grand. It was all very overpriced for what you ended up with. My discounted rate should have been the normal rate. There is no way I would ever stay at this place at their listed normal rate. You'd have to be a fool. Honestly, You would be better off just renting a house for the price because the amenities are not worth it in this specific case. The food was mid but at arena prices. 20$ for a beer, 24$ for a burger, 4$ for an iced tea.. after the first day we just went into town for food. It ended up being much better economically and quality wise. The beach behind the resort is nothing remarkable. In fact it's sloped and awkwardly angled. The surrounding area itself is immaculate and lush with beauty and there are loads of things to do. It's definitely a family place and not an anything else kind of place so don't get any ideas. Kind of boring honestly, not really much going on. You really do have to make your own adventures. The complimentary bikes you can check out are all falling apart. The walls were so thin I could hear the conversations of the people in the room next to me. The power went out multiple times the day I was checking out which complicated things further including trying to get WiFi as well as the fact that they charged me for a latte that I never ordered and they had to remove it from my final bill. Good thing I checked. I am talking specifically about the resort and not the area itself. Parking was a free for all and there is no valet. If you leave your spot during the day good luck trying to get another one. If this place put some TLC into it they could turn it around very quickly.
