Stopped here on the way to OBX. Looking for crab, and found it! Had a fantastical soft pretzel with crab dip (lots of crab). Followed with half and half Maryland crab/crab corn chowder. Lots of crab there as well. Finished with a naked crab cake that had the bare minimum filling and amazing lump crab. Yes. Loved the crab. My son had the BBQutery platter and was very pleased, couldn't finish! Highly recommended.

Service was okay. In Maryland you expect decent crab cakes especially when the menu says it is lump crab. Barely any crab and more filler than a McDonald's crab cake. I informed the waitress that it was not good and she said and did nothing. Very disappointed.

Biggest pretzel I have ever seen served with mustard and crab dip. she had eaten most of pretzel

Working in Pocomoke and limited lunch options . We ate at Dockside and food was impressive , right on the Pocomoke River , in the friendliest town on Eastern shore. I got the American cheeseburger and upgraded to boardwalk fries for $2.00 Super juicy cheeseburger that had that smoky BBQ-ish flavor. My colleagues got the "hooked " XL pretzel with crab dip and Carolina pulled pork sandwiches and all agreed food was worthy of a good review. Humongous portions. So if your headed to Wallops Island flight facility , sailing the Pocomoke or visiting Chincoteague Island, I would highly recommend Dockside Pocomoke. They have a "scrapple cheesesteak", if that's your thing , and usually do Friday "Cheesesteak specials". Always trust the locals to know where to eat .

Peel & eat old bay shrimp-real good!

Great place on a river with lots of outdoor seating! When you pull up, it doesn't look that great & parking is on the street. Upon entering, it's larger & nicer than expected. Steamed shrimp app was real good - nice plump sweet shrimp. Wings were done nicely - I really liked them & my husband really enjoyed his burger. Drinks were made nice & strong & we had an enjoyable time sitting outside. Would definitely come back again when in the area!

    Seafood pasta is AMAZING!

Wow! My seafood pasta was out of this world rich, creamy and delicious. Plenty of shrimp and crab, cheese, butter, noodles and flavor. We also got the giant pretzel and crab dip. It was a little underwhelming. However, will return again.

Nice view but slow service and arrogant owners. Restaurant had a "cold" atmosphere. Food was okay. Nothing special.

The Service hostess & waitress very pleasant, very professional. The reason for 3 star review the establishment presents itself with prime age ribeye unfortunately not the case. Definitely not aged I ordered it medium rare received medium well lack of flavor tasted more like store bought the green beans overcooked very soft not very good. The Jumbo Lobster tail stuffed with crab meat on menu Market Price was salty. Also overpriced at $130 for the Dish. Appetizers & Desert were fine. Experience it, Nice but avoid the steaks not aged. There is a small lot behind the restaurant. It was easy and there was plenty of parking since it was the off season. I did not have a reservation but, I was seated as a party of one pretty quick. The tables were draped with white table cloths, a nice table side light, sweeteners, tall clear glasses with a black napkin and tall salt and pepper shakers. The walls were a darker and lighter gray, hues of black and whites scattered throughout. I was in love with the old photos and the black and white prints throughout. There was a stunning glass sculpture hanging from the center of the dining room. It maybe a Chihuly glass chandelier. If it is not it resembles it. Hues of amber, orange and whites. My waitress came over within a few minutes and took my drink order. She informed me of the specials and brought over some bread, butter and herbed oil. I just had to try the cream of crab. On the menu it states it's a tight lipped recipe. The cream of crab was delicious. They have done their own spin on it. It came out piping hot. It had a slight kick to it, as if there was some sort of pepper in it... jalapeño? Could just be regular ground pepper. Overall, it was pretty good. My meal came with a choice of salad. It was either a garden salad, Caesar salad or tropical salad. I ordered the garden salad with ranch dressing. The salad was ok. Nothing to rave about. It had shoestring carrots, two cherry tomatoes and 2-3 types of lettuce. It did the job. I had the waitress choose my main dish for me. I could not decide. It was between the stuffed shrimp (stuffed with crab imperial), or the crab cakes. I opted for the vegetable of the day which was green beans. My waitress surprised me with stuffed shrimp, broiled. I'm so glad she went with the broiled vs fried option. She said it was the best way to go. The crab imperial was creamy and flavorful. The shrimp were a little on the smaller side. I personally did noThe green beans were nicely seasoned. For dessert I had the waitress choose agin. A choice between their strawberry shortcake which was a special, white chocolate coconut cream pie, or the vanilla crème brûlée. She chose well, the coconut cream pie. It was so good! I saw other tables around me being delivered their food and everything looked really good. This place is definitely a popular eatery. They will remain on the list to come back.

Being in mid March, we were offered a table close to the bar (away from the windows), so we'd stay warmer --but we couldn't resist the lure of sitting on the high chairs and looking out at the boat traffic, sparse as it was. So we just kept our light jackets on. Once the food and drinks began arriving and the music cranked up a bit, the place easily felt twenty degrees warmer anyway. The food was really good. Fresh, savory, done just right. The waitress was helpful: proactive, attentive, but also gave space. We ate at several other restaurants in Chincoteague that weekend, but this one was by far the best!

I started off with the crabcake egg rolls and thought they were amazing - they're the main reason I want to come back. They were $18 for four pieces (two egg rolls cut in half), so the pricing isn't really competitive there, but I really enjoyed them. It was backfin meat or something, but there was a lot of it, and they were served hot and crispy with a tasty remoulade. I got the seafood cobb salad as a main. For $23 it was a little underwhelming. It came with a pile of "lump" crabmeat in the middle as well as six medium sized, cold shrimp, bacon, corn, and some whole cherry tomatoes. I kept forgetting there was crab meat in the salad and for the price there wasn't a ton of shrimp. But it was certainly edible, especially with the blue cheese dressing. I tried the pineapple-orange vinaigrette and that was interesting as well. For dessert I got the Mississippi mud cake which was tasty, but pretty small for $8. My partner got a dozen oysters and enjoyed them. We sat inside and the view of the water was gorgeous. It's the beginning of April and it was packed (we waited about 30 minutes) early Friday night. We sat outside in the sandy area until we were called, which was nice. Service was friendly and fairly prompt. Despite the prices, Ropewalk's got nice service and a great ambiance, so I'm looking forward to coming back and trying something new next time we visit.
