Doc's diner is your typical dinner food and vibe but still a good place for some simple but good food. I was craving some sweet carbs so I ordered the Italian pancakes. They were good but even better with some crispy bacon! New favorite combo but I was so hungry I forgot to take a pic.

Doc's Diner Key Largo 4-30-25 Stooped by for breakfast on Wednesday about 7:15 am. They were not that busy and we got a table right away. Our Waitress brought the coffee fast and we ordered our food right there. The waitress was very nice and so friendly and checked on us many times. I ordered the Country Fried Steak with Sausage Gravy, Hash Browns and 2 eggs over easy. My wife ordered 2 Eggs over easy with Toast. My dad ordered Sausage Gravy over biscuits. Our ordered came out fast and looked very good. All our food as hot and tasty. When we were done, we were full as they piled up our plates with plenty of food. I give this place a 4 out of 5 stars. When I'm in Key Largo I will not hesitate to go back here. Make sure you stop by as when we left it was full of locals. They know where the good food is and now you know. Came here on our way back from attending the Key West Half Marathon. It was the perfect spot to close our adventures for the weekend. The full breakfast offering & the delicious HOT coffee hit the spot! Some customers were a bit inconsiderate about the staff being overwhelmed with the crowd but the staff handled a couple of situations with a lot of grace & smiles! Very commendable. If you are on your way in or out of the keys this is definitely a spot to hit up!

Everything you could ever want in a diner. Was certainly busy when we walked in Sunday morning, but didn't affect our ability to be sat and get prompt service. Huge portions, great prices, huevos rancheros and pancakes hit the mark. Every breakfast combination your heart could desire. Hashbrown casserole was delicious. Classic diner vibes - busy kitchen & waiters, old school stools, booths, photos everywhere. Perfect spot for a quick bite when heading home from the keys. If I lived nearby I would be here every week. Will probably go out of my way to fit a stop in here on our next trip because I enjoyed it so much.

What a fantastic locals breakfast spot! A simple diner, friendly and such a welcoming staff! Made us feel right at home! With plenty of tables to choose from and a very large menu with incredible breakfast items makes it very hard to choose! Honestly, no need to go anywhere else! My husband ordered a skillet with hashbrowns, eggs, corn, hash gravy, biscuit, full of goodness! I also had the corn beef hash with eggs and grits! Yummmm! Highly recommend!!

We stop at Doc's every time we are heading to the Key West. Great local place with quick and friendly service. The food is always delicious, the whole menu is a winner!

No frills diner with classic service and dishes. Not touristy.... The cinnamon rolls are larger than your face. Everything on the menu is tasty! Coffee is strong and refilled :) I had the #2 with pancakes and it was super filling. My friends enjoyed the fresh catch (mahi) and various eggs and hashbrowns and biscuits.

We stopped in for breakfast and got some eggs and pancakes. The pancakes were a nice size and fluffy. The eggs were great and so were the bacon and sausage. Good service and decent prices as well. We'll be back.

This is a cute mom & pop type diner in Key Largo, FL. We stopped here on a Sunday morning at about 10:30AM and there was a small wait, about 20 minutes. Busy spot but worth it. They offer all the traditional breakfast options and more. Large selection of breakfast food as well as lunch. Since we stopped in for breakfast, I ordered the Doc's breakfast wrap, which had eggs, bacon, cheese, and tomato. Really good. I also had a cup of coffee. My husband ordered the French toast and said his food was great as well. I recommend starting with one of their homemade biscuits. Really good. Service was super friendly, and the food came out really fast which was nice. Pricing is decent so you can get a lot of food for your money. It must try.

In business for 35+ years Docs is a real old-fashioned diner. First time we came here there was quite a crowd (out the door on a Sunday morning ) but the team here made quick work of it and we seated within 10 minutes. Second time we came we were able to sit right down. They were managing to go as well as the crowd in the restaurant. Make no bones about it, it's not fancy, but it's clean, has great service, and offers generous portions of good food with the only reasonable priced menu we found in Key Largo. The team hustles nonstop and offers breakfast and lunch options; there are Tuesday Italian lunch specials. The Restaurant is open from 6 AM to 1 PM daily; Check for Holiday hours. There is dedicated parking in the front and the back, but it can be tight. Inside, there is a small dining room and a small lunch counter. You sure for breakfast or basic lunch, this is the place to stop.

Short stack of pancakes with two sausage patties. That's my presentation not theirs. It looked yummier when it arrived!

We were seated right away with no wait, and it had the feel of a small local restaurant instead of a tourist trap. I had the mahi mahi tacos, and my wife had the lobster and shrimp po'boy. Both were excellent, and the portions were generous. If you go, don't skip the crab and artichoke dip--it was easily the best appetizer we had on our trip. The food had that authentic Keys flavor that makes you feel like you're eating where the locals do. We sat outside on the covered patio, and the fans kept it comfortable even in the Florida heat. Prices were a little higher than some other places we visited, and our fountain drinks from the outdoor bar were a bit flat, but that's something I've noticed at a lot of outdoor bar setups. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and local charm made it well worth the stop, and we'd definitely come back.

Not sure if it's because we are a large party 10 or more, or what? Our last visit was a Sunday evening in early July . We ate outside. Waiter was good at getting water out to everyone. But when it came to drink orders we must have waited 15-20 minutes for him to take our drink orders. I had to ask him to take my appetizer order. We had to ask several times for our drinks - soft drinks- not alcoholic. They were not good at cleaning our dirty appetizer plates away after delivering dinner leaving the table crowded. I think what I found most annoying was watching our server and another server standing around while we were waiting for drinks, for order taking, for refills, etc. There was just no attention being paid to us. Maybe the guy was new? Not sure. The restaurant wasn't very busy so that wasn't the excuse. I've heard it's difficult to get good help in the Keys. Cost a lot to live here. Most commute from Homestead. Anyway- good for the food - don't expect great service. Ironically I did over tip. I was a server in college so I try to be generous.

I'm not exaggerating when I say it looked like they used half a meatball for the entire 16" pizza, shredded so thin it was barely noticeable. For what I paid, I expected a lot more. On top of that, the flavor just wasn't there. It was underwhelming across the board, which made the price even harder to justify. I wouldn't order from here again--it's definitely not worth it. Having arrived at 4:30pm, we were immediately shown to a table and informed about the happy hour specials. Not normally ones to drink much on vacation, my wife and I instead opted to live in the moment and enjoy the island life, especially since it was 30 degrees when we left Ohio that morning. As such, we each ordered a rum punch (pictured), while my best friend ordered a Bulliet old fashioned and his wife a house margarita. With drink orders out of the way, Deja, our absolutely delightful waitress, took our food orders: sauteed seafood combo (for my wife), backyard BBQ burger with coleslaw (for me), burger and fries (for my BFF and his wife, who -unlike us- were smart enough to save room for dessert). While waiting for our meals, we took in the ambiance of the restaurant, and wow was there a lot to take in! First off, we loved how the old Pizza Hut building had been repurposed and transformed into the embodiment of the tropical island lifestyle. From the display tables showcasing seashells and historic Florida Keys photos, to the license plate light fixtures, to the ceiling-mounted blue sky and clouds panels, to the fish hanging in front of each distinctively Pizza Hut trapezoidal window, we loved it all! When our food arrived, it looked fantastic and tasted even better. My wife described her seafood combo as being excellent, with the Caribbean lobster "almost as good as the ones we get in Maine." Likewise, her fish was fresh and delicious, while the shrimp were succulent. My burger was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and was topped with expertly caramelized onions and bacon with just the right amount of crispness to it. My coleslaw side was also excellent, with the perfect balance of creaminess and zing. Our friends also said their burger and shoestring fries were fantastic. To round out our meal, each of the four of us ordered pieces of Key Lime Pie, which was some of the best I have ever had in my life (and I have eaten a lot of Key Lime Pies!)! Throughout our meal, Deja checked on us often without being overbearing, and kept the drinks flowing. All told, for 5 drinks, 3 entrées with sides, and 4 slices of Key Lime Pie, our bill before tax, tip, and credit card surcharge was $163.93. Considering the excellent food and outstanding service we received, the four of us universally agreed it was well worth the price! Pros: outstanding service, fantastic flavours, great atmosphere, and the 2-for-1 drinks during happy hour were a great deal! Cons: none!
