A must visit if in Key Largo. Huge menu of fresh items from the sea to pick from. We had yellowtail fish tacos, and my wife had Cobia fish tacos. They were excellent highly recommend both. Cobia had a little bit of fishy taste but the spices they used in the blackened seemed to be hotter in that fish, but not too hot. The restaurant atmosphere is laid back and staff is very helpful with recommendations. We sat under cover outside closer to the marina and were able to watch boats come back in from their fishing charters. They caught a bunch, see pic. The market had a sign advertising yellow tail fish for $5 dollars a piece if you wanted to buy some and make it at home. We are so glad we found this gem and will be back.

One of my favorite spots to come in the keys for casual lunch! The seafood is so good and you just can't beat an outside waterfront view! Prices and happy hour are amazing also! All counter/bar service so sometimes that can take a minute with only one or two workers at the bar. Overall, great vibe and a chill place to enjoy lunch!!

I love this place. Chill, laidback, and as fresh as it gets. I come here every time in by the Key Largo area, especially during stone crab season because their prices are extremely reasonable. It's a huge shack looking space with a bar, and plenty of outdoor seating. You order at the booth and then take a seat with your buzzer. I love the coconut shrimp, the ceviche and of course the stone crabs -- but I'm sure everything is excellent here.

Great vibes and casual spot for local seafood and bar in the marina. Fried conch had too much breading that it was a bit hard to get to the conch itself. Maybe I should have gotten lobster bites instead. Stone Crab chowder had good flavors but not much actual crabs in it. It's a busy venue, still highly recommend you try it out. Saw lots of peeps getting stone crabs because it's still in season.

Don't drive passed it, it's in there. Fantastic outside restaurant on the marina, watch the boats come in while enjoying a delicious pina colada, we had the stone crab bisque, coconut shrimp, grouper sandwich and the blackened mahi tacos, which all was fantastic, but the tacos were the star of this show, the cilantro jalapeno sauce pushed them over the edge. Sit at the bar, and if you are lucky, Lizzy will take care of you(Elizabeth). Can't wait to come back.

I had high hopes for Key Largo Fisheries since their stone crabs are quite famous. The place was packed especially the parking lot. To try a little bit of everything my group got the conch fritters, fried scallops, coconut shrimp and stone crabs. The stone crabs were good but unfortunately they weren't cracked enough making it impossible to get a lot of the meat. The coconut shrimp was cooked well but the sauce wasn't memorable. The breading on the fried scallops was undercooked and the scallops themselves were very briny meaning they were not of good quality. The texture of the conch fritters were not my favorite but I did want to try it since it's a staple in the Keys. Overall, it wasn't worth the fairly hefty price tag. Despite the mediocre food all the employees were very friendly and the DJ was a nice touch to liven the place.

Unfortunately it's changed over the years. Now it's double for half of what you're getting. I have pictures of past trips and it's clearly not the same size portions of mahi or shrimp. I am going to go on a limb and call foul. Including in this review will bee comparison photos of 2018 trip. How far have we fallen. The atmosphere is very nice can not beat it. Parking is tight seating is ample.

Key Largo Fisheries -- not to be confused with Keys Fisheries where we are staying in Marathon 50 miles south , although they do source some seafood from them. At first glance, it's exactly what you expect in the Keys: a dockside seafood operation with an open-air café attached. Boats, traps, pelicans, tourists -- all of it. And during spring break, that café turns into complete chaos. Packed tables, long lines, people hovering, the raw bar shoulder-to-shoulder. You're not settling in -- you're cycling through. The food is solid. Stone crabs, conch chowder, fried oysters, tacos -- all competently done, with the chowder being the standout. And to be clear, the seafood market inside Key Largo Fisheries itself is legit. The cases are full, the product looks fresh, pricing is in line with what you'd expect in the Keys. The catch is: to get to it, you have to run the gauntlet. Parking lot chaos. Lines spilling out. People everywhere. It's all part of the same machine. Now here's where it shifts. If you keep walking -- past the main operation, past the traps -- you end up at a completely separate group of vendors around the corner. Different business, different setup, different energy. Same kind of product. Same general pricing. But none of the friction. Coolers on ice. Handwritten boards. No lines, no crowd, no pressure. You walk up, you look, you buy. That's it. That's where I grabbed two pounds of local pink peel-and-eat shrimp for $30 -- not because it was better than what was inside, but because it was easier, calmer, and frankly more enjoyable to deal with. And tucked into that same area is a small stand (Saturday only) run by an Andalusian chef -- quietly putting out some of the best fried seafood on the property. No line. No chaos. Just good execution. So it's not really about better vs worse. It's about two ways of experiencing the exact same place: One is high-volume, crowded, and a little overwhelming -- but still very real. The other is quieter, simpler, and easier to access -- even though it's sitting right next to it. Most people only see the first one. I'd take the second.

and I will review this place every time I come to Key Largo cause this is a stop. I have to make the vibe is laid-back and chill. The food is the freshest right off the boat you could eat. They always have really good specials on Stone, crabs and fish and anything you can imagine if you're ever in Key Largo you need to make us stop.

Great first spot for lunch! You have a big menu on this one! Great dinning seating area, live music and views, you can feed the fish great spot for kids! Its a bit overwhelming to order but take your time. Food comes out REALLY quick! We had the Cuban sandwich and the fish ceviche! Sweet potato fries are a must! Try them you wont NOT like them. Overall great spot for lunch! They have a store and a fish market! All in one!

We were down in the homestead area and decided to head into key largo to visit again. It was as good as I remembered it.

Yummy stone crabs and a ton of sides. We ran into some friends here and they made it even more wonderful. Fish dips are great. There is an outside bar too. Order sides and drinks outside. Crabs inside.

Super casual but super fun place to eat at. Right on the water located in a marina so the view and the breeze is always nice. Their fish is fresh and always tasty. You order from a window and go find your own table out on the deck. There is a seafood market connected to it so while you're here you can pick up fresh seafood and when she's the best Stone crab clause. If you want to eat the stone crab right there you simply tell them in the store to crack them and then you'll be eating them there and they take care of everything for you. If you're looking for something fun to do worth the trip

We were seated immediately, and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating overlooking a beautiful channel with boats constantly coming and going. I ordered the mahi mahi sandwich with sweet potato fries, served on a coconut bun, and it was quite possibly one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. Everything came out hot, fresh, and surprisingly fast. You could tell the food was made to order. The staff was genuinely friendly and never made us feel rushed, which made it easy to sit back and enjoy the view. The outdoor seating was fantastic and added so much to the experience. The restaurant is a little tucked away and can be easy to miss, but don't let that stop you--it is absolutely worth finding. We spent about $54 for two people, and considering the quality of the food, generous portions, service, and atmosphere, it was worth every penny. If you're in Key Largo looking for a great meal with a waterfront view, put Skippers Dockside on your list. We'll definitely be back.

The sampler comes with two conch fritters, two coconut shrimp, two bacon wrapped items (which we replaced), cracked conch, and lobster and conch ceviche. I have to say this while it's fresh in my mind. The moment I had the lobster and shrimp ceviche, I got chills. Just an incredible burst of flavor. Tiny bit of heat at the end but nothing overwhelming. Just really, really good. The conch fritters are solid too. Chewy, not over breaded, and served with two sauces. One is sweet and one is more of a mayo style. There's also something that eats like a conch curry puff situation. I liked the cracked conch better personally, but both are worth trying. The coconut shrimp is also really good. The sampler also comes with tortilla chips on the side. The lobster bisque is delicious. Great flavor with little chunks of what I'm pretty sure is lobster throughout. Nothing more to add really. It's just good. The mahi and avocado dish has a nice seared taste to it. Not flame broiled exactly, but that kind of grilled sear that you want on fish. The pico de gallo is similar to what came with the ceviche, and it works really well here. All in at $75.

We sat down at our table and then the place filled up. Talk about timing! I saw crab cake Benedict on the menu and knew I had to try it. I was also interested in the Lobster Benedict but they also had a lobster omelette so my husband agreed to get the omelette and we would share so we could try both their omelettes and the Benedict. He got their breakfast casserole for a $2 up charge and the waitress said "oh, good choice," so we were both excited to see what that was going to be like. I ordered the grits with cheese. Our food came out in a timely manner and we enjoyed our coffee while we waited. The staff were great about keeping our mugs filled at all times. The food was served and I really enjoyed the crab cakes Benedict. The grits were just ok. Even with the cheese and butter, salt and pepper I added it was just bland. My husband liked his omelette. We tried each others and I think my pick won out. I will say his breakfast casserole was delicious! It had so much flavor. Definitely worth paying the extra couple bucks for imo. My friends all commented they enjoyed their food. They had some breakfast sandwiches and egg meals. We liked that they brought our check with a seashell on top. One of my friends was hoping we could keep them. I thought it was a nice added touch. We won't run back here but certainly would eat there again if we were in the area.
