Had them replace my retainers. When they delivered them, they were so tight I couldn't get them off. They kept telling me they were supposed to be that tight and would loosen. I continued to struggle to get them off so I went back. Having had experience with retainers, I asked them to cut down the gum line area. They were accommodating and did it. I am a 34 year old adult female and I work in an industry where appearance is everything. I interact with people from all over the world all day long for a living. My smile always made me self conscious and it's all I thought about when I was talking to people. I had wanted braces for years but didn't have the money to pay for them. Plus, I was concerned about how I would look with a mouth full of metal at my age. I finally bit the bullet and went in to see Doctor Bedoya after seeing the wonders she did for my nephew's smile. The consultation was free and she gave me several options for treatment and payment and her staff members were very welcoming. I felt super comfortable and excited to become a patient of hers and they made me feel like family. The most awesome part was the type of braces I decided to go with. They're called LINGUAL BRACES, and they go BEHIND your teeth instead of on the front of them!!! So, no one even knew I had braces because they couldn't see them!! Several times throughout my treatment (2yrs 6mos.) I even had strangers compliment my smile and asked if I've ever had braces!! Little did they know I had them on right then!! The lingual braces did take some time to get used to. My tongue was very sensitive for a month as it was getting used to hitting brackets and wires when I talked. I used a lot of wax and IGLU throughout my treatment, but the pain was worth it. No pain, no gain, right? Nina, the young lady at the front desk was also amazing. She frequently squeezed me in for emergency appointments and made time for me no matter what. Plus, she was a delight to see and chat with each and every time. All of the ladies were so kind and friendly, I kinda miss them now that my treatment is over. Cynthia and Ivette, the technicians, were super gentle and patient. Love them too! Now that I have perfect teeth, I can't stop smiling, I smile all day everyday. My confidence is through the roof and I get compliments all the time from people about how beautiful my teeth are. Even my DENTIST complimented Dr. Bedoya's work!!! She truly is an amazing doctor. If you are an adult thinking about braces, GET THEM! It's never too late. I never knew how much of a positive impact it would have on my life. (And if you get linguals, no one will ever even know you have them!) I am so grateful to Dr. Bedoya and her staff. Had a good experience here. one end of my wire retainer came off and I needed to get it fixed. When I called, they offered me an appointment the same day, even though I was a new patient. When I arrived, I did not have to wait long before it was my turn. The lady at the front desk is very friendly and the doctor seemed very laid back and pragmatic. I liked that no one tried to talk me into getting any additional things done. They fixed my retainer and that's it, no unsolicited recommendations for what else I should do with my teeth.
