I took my car to Dr. Auto on a Tuesday, they said it would be 2 days to diagnose it. I live in Shelton but was in Puyallup so I had 2 get a hotel room until I heard from them. They told me after 2 days it was 2 1/2 corts low on oil. I paid them 125.00 for that. I went 2 go home and broke down on the freeway n it was the same prob3 I had before bringing my car 2 them. I had 2 inch my way off the freeway n got to a firestone ( by the grace of God) n they diagnosed it as being the alternator and the battery.they couldn't get to it for 2 days so I was stuck in another hotel . I called dr. Auto m the guy was so rude telling me it was my fault I would never take my car there ever ever ever. read more

The project took longer than estimated due to a very rusty hub connection, yet in the end I was not charged more than quoted and the job was completed professionally. At 11:30pm on a Saturday night my car decided to lock up the steering wheel while making a left turn. As I forced the steering wheel to unlock I heard a very unhealthy sound that I knew cars shouldn't make. Sunday I researched tow trucks and auto repair shops by reading Yelp reviews for businesses near my broken down car, I was lead to Herb's Towing and Doctorauto. I called other places for quotes, but liked what Doctorauto had to say. Monday afternoon my car was being looked at, by Tuesday morning I had the diagnosis and projected charges. The busted rack and pinion was going to cost less than I anticipated, upon hearing this news I asked them to diagnose an issue another repair show was unable to resolve months earlier. The other issue was diagnosed, priced and would still allow me to have my car back the next afternoon. Greg went above and beyond by keeping me informed every step of the way and then by waiting after closing for my arrival to pick up my car. I am so very pleased by how great my car drives, but to my surprise I noticed another small fix they made that wasn't asked. Last year I had my car at Bucky's in Fife to have the headlight bulbs changed, for my car this involves taking off the front bumper. My experience was less than favorable and to top it off they left off a couple connectors that would have the bumper rest flush against the body, I was too upset with the experience to go back and ask them to resolve the issue. To my delight Doctorauto noticed and fixed the issue. I know without hesitate that for all future repairs I will be taking my car to Doctorauto. read more

They worry about long run costs and try to do as much preventative maintenance as they can.
