What happened to this place? It's ghetto as Heck now! My girlfriend and I started services because the clinic's manger at the time, Ray, was very professional and he ran the clinic like a professional weight los facility. Since the manager left, the quality of service and professionalism of the staff has really declined. The clinic used to be a place where a patient would not only get shots, but Ray and the team actually took the time to discuss ones weight loss progress and goals with the patients - it felt like a team effort. The team used to provide nutrition guidance and recommendations too. At present, the clinic seems really different now that new management is in place? The clinic seems to be ran by young and inexperienced medical assistant students with poor communication skills, minimal English skills too. We are going to use up our shots and go somewhere else. read more

This place has become a complete joke. 9/10 times they are flat out of medications that my needs for her weight management program. I drive down from Alpine and even call ahead of time. They had us pay for three months of medications ahead of time, only to find out after the 1st week, that my wife now needs to pay an additional $50 for a physical. Sometimes they are out of meds which could be inconvenient for someone who drives far but I usually come back in since I work around the corner. The reason why I'm giving them only one star for the rating is because they are so rude and especially MJ doesn't even know what she is doing. She only works with her patients and she doesn't care about how many people are sitting in the waiting room waiting for their turn, she will still take the once she wants only. I was there today for 45 mins waiting for them to give me my injections so I can go home, all the people who came after me got their shots and they kept skipping me. There is a reason to why they have a sign in sheet and they should follow it to avoid having people to wait for no reason. I finally went off on the medical assistants there and I gave it to them. Then they were like mam we can help you now if you want?! I was like really? I have been waiting here for 45 mins and now that I'm saying this to you now you can help me?! I left and I was very angry about their bad customer service. They are also not consistent at all, each one of them will tell you something different than the other one. I don't even know what do they put in my shots because it looks different every single time I go there. I am very disappointed to be writing this negative review as I was a happy customer for a year or maybe more. I purchased additional treatments from the El Cajon location letting them know I would be moving soon and would need to go to the Carmel Mountain location. They told me it would be no problem at all and that I could transfer everything over. Now, after things have settled down from my move the Carmel Mountain location tells me this is not possible and that they are not even under the same ownership, only watched over by the same doctor. They went on to tell me that the El Cajon location does this frequently and that they see this happening at least once per month to a customer. I called the El Cajon facility and explained my situation. The nurse said that this happens often because they will take Carmel Mountain's customers but Carmel Mountain will not take theirs... if they know that - why are they having customers make purchases at their location under false pretenses? She then said she would look into it and call me back but I never received a call. I called back and got a different nurse who explained the only way I could get any money back is for medical reasons. I had to insist on speaking with a supervisor who was not in and am now waiting on a call back from. I am dumbfounded at the level of deceit used to get me to make my purchases at their location. I hope that they go on to do the right thing. I am willing to revise my review if they refund me for my un-used treatments. At this point I feel as if they have stolen money out of my pocket. read more

They're trying to make this clinic a better functioning facility , due to the record losing, incompetent staff and overall rudeness of everyone, and they're failing miserably at making anything better! The owners daughter now works the front desk and she's about as helpful as the rest of the worthless staff that is already there! What a joke this office is! If you feel like waiting 45 minutes while somebody can't find your chart AGAIN- then by all means have fun! Or getting injections by somebody who has never given one before, that should add a little more excitement to your day!!
