I recommend Dodge Electric! They are friendly, reliable, thorough, fair-priced and have a high degree of integrity in their work. I had them install recessed lighting throughout my whole house and I'm very pleased with their work plus they did not try to upsell me on any fancy switches. They will provide you troubleshooting over the phone to see if the problem can be solved with some phone guidance or agree with you that a service call is needed. Recently I had an issue with one of my breakers after a monsoon storm. They came out only to discover that the breaker ended up recovering by itself and the issue was with my drip system. Called out dodge electric to check out some ungrounded outlets on my older house. Ground wires had been run to the boxes, but they weren't running to ground. The electrician came right on time, and I showed him a wall box with a ground wire attached and showed him it wasn't grounded. I wanted him to diagnose why the outlets weren't getting ground, and what it would cost to fix it. From the beginning of the visit, he seemed reluctant to look at anything. The entire time I felt like I had to keep asking him to do his job. "Do you want to see the breaker box?" "Do you want to see where I think the ground wire is run to" "Do you want to take a look in the attic?" Ultimately he told me that he figured the outlets were bonded to a cold water pipe at some point, and then someone replaced that pipe with PVC losing the bond. He didn't know for sure, because he never actually climbed up in my attic to look around. Just stuck his head up and did a quick survey. He then told me it wouldn't be cost effective to run new wires. I asked him how much it would be, and he wouldn't even quote me. Just said it would be $75 an hour and he wouldn't guess how many hours it would take. He said to put a GFCI outlet on the circuit and be done with it. Through the whole experience I felt like he didn't want to be there, and for the $85 I paid, I could have made the same guesses he did by researching on the internet. Don't call these guys for old houses, apparently they don't want the work. read more

We had a few requests and one of them would have been easy for them to do but Preston advised us that it would cost us more money to do the stucco work (after the electrical work was done)and it would not look perfect after the fact. Some of my house outlets stopped working after the heavy rains. It was a mess because I did not notice due to being out of town and my laundry freezer was full of chicken and meat. Top notch company! We were so impressed the first time, we have called them three more times to come and complete small jobs: install/move ceiling fans, install flush-mount ceiling lights and switches, disconnect and patch old junction boxes and install new outdoor power sockets. They ALWAYS arrived on time, were quick, well priced, and even vacuumed up their mess before leaving. All of their staff was nice, courteous and helpful. Dodge electric was one of the VERY few that actually answered the phone when i called. I got an appointment ti review the work for a quote quickly and a couple days later the quote came in. They were not necessarily the cheapest quote we received but the communication, accessibility, and professionalism was above an beyond what anyone else provided. They worked with us when we made minor changes, the work was done quickly, the clean up was fantastic. There were no upfront costs, be paid after the rough-in, the waiting for the drywall to be installed and then came back quickly to install all of the outlets, cover plates etc. I cannot say enough good things. I own a small business and had two small electrical projects. Four contractors came out to bid. Dodge Electric responded first and with the 2nd best price. I chose Dodge because the estimator was professional and they called me in person to ask for the job. The two man team showed up 10 minutes early ready to go. They moved an exit sign and installed a standard outlet. They were courteous to my customers and cleaned up well. I also received some good advice on how to fix a problem with my exit sign. I texted the emergency number for dodge electric at 11pm on a Friday night and received a text back by 5am Saturday morning while mind you none of the other electricians I contacted responded until 11am and the majority didn't respond at all because it was a weekend! We were in desperate need of an electrician, we had gotten ourselves in over our heads with an inexperienced hvac company and we needed an experienced electrician ASAP to get our Ac running. We have an infant at home who needed to stay cool so time was of the essence. Mr. Dodge was able to put us on that morning. What I really appreciated about these guys is that even though they missed an appointment Mike called, apologized (which is rare now a days) and asked if they could earn my business back. We re-scheduled, they showed up and did a fantastic job with some lights I wanted installed and wiring for security cameras.
