    Challen was our comfort consultant. And WOW he is great at his job!! We moved here two years ago and had to replace our A/C unit...Challen came, and designed the system that is absolutely fabulous!!! We couldn't be happier to have a Trane and Challens expertise in designing the system, relocating it from garage to attic, excellent work by the installation crew! The redesign of returns and move of the interior system made for a nearly silent operation. Two days and we have a solid system that adds value and peace to our home. Also, they come do an inspection in a month to make sure we are happy and that the system is working properly! Oh did I mention they have a one year buyback guarantee and 5 year warranty for labor!!!     We've used this company on three different installs/repairs. The first was an install of a new Trane A/C unit on our primary residence. Although we had issues with the install everything was finished to our satisfaction and at a price we felt was fair and reasonable. The second time we used them was for service on one of our rental properties. We were in a position of needing some one on short notice and they were able to respond in a timely manner. The unit was fixed and the bill was provided. No breakdown in labor or parts charges was provided and we felt the charges were excessive but we weren't in a position to shop it around and we paid it. The third time we used them consisted of 5 different visits for the same issue. The first call in 12/2021 when the heat started intermittently failing at our primary residence. The Trane unit that they installed was only two years old and under warranty. We were charged 89.00 service call fee and no problem was identified because they couldn't get a fault code. Service tech showed me how to read the fault lights on the unit and said to call when we had a fault code. The unit started failing again with the same problem in 11/2022. I went on the roof and video captured the fault lights per the prior technicians directions. We placed another service call and paid another 89.00 to be told we didn't have sufficient gas pressure and call SW Gas. Called SW gas and they checked pressure. Everything good on the gas side. Unit continued to fail. Service call made and tech says everything is working and no problem found. Unit works for two days and fails again. Service call made and tech says it's probably gas valve on unit. Gas valve is under warranty but labor isn't. They order gas valve, can't quote labor price. Heat still not fixed. They return two days later and replace gas valve. We get a bill for an additional payment of $370.00 (We already paid the two $89.00 service fees) but they won't provide detail for what we're being charged. We had requested the same detail at the time they ordered the part but they wouldn't provide the breakdown on any of the labor charges but told us they would provide it in the final invoice. Tech would not give us a detail of the charges at the final invoice and we were told to call the office and were forced to pay the bill without the detail. They continued to push back and would not give us a detailed invoice showing the labor and warranty parts processing fees until we threatened to charge the bill back to American Express. When we received the final detail of charges we realized we had been grossly overcharged with added fees. I believe that their business and billing practices are deceptive and probably in violation of their warranty services agreement with Trane, the manufacturer of our a/c unit. We will also be following up with Trane and provide them feedback about warranty work being done by Mason. It took almost a year, five service calls, two service charges totaling $178 and an additional payment of $370.00 to fix our heat under warranty. We've never been opposed to paying a premium for services provided in a timely, efficient manner. We do not feel that the total of $548.00 paid in "labor/service charges" or the time it took met that criteria and we will no longer use them for service or replacement on any of our properties. Potential customers of this contractor should use caution and be wary of how they do business.

    Outside A/C Unit

    Excellent job! The new air conditioning unit looks significantly cleaner compared to the old one. They also made modifications to the ductwork, reducing its noise level considerably. Very satisfied with the quality of work.

    New duct work with a more efficient cold air feed into our home than our old "over-under / twist" duct.

    In the hottest part of July 2019 we replaced our failing 5-ton, package heat pump, 21 yo TRANE unit with another TRANE from Mason Mechanical. Our home is a single-story ranch 2,100 SF block home in Tempe, AZ with a flat roof. We looked at five (5) HVAC vendors, then did a runoff among the 2 best in our opinion. Selected Mason Mechanical of Mesa. Absolutely super experience! Only surprise was how cold our home became after install and how much our SRP Electric utility bill dropped subsequently in July and August. Had no idea our home could get this cold without investing in several other home improvements. Experience: Hugely impressed with Mason Mechanical's NATE certified HVAC technicians, and courteous customer service. Appreciated their non-salesy, down to earth communication style. Recommend you ask for Joe Calo or another member of his team at Mason Mechanical. Every member of their team treated every member of our family with respect in every interaction. Now it is September and I've seen two (2) much smaller utility bills in a row in spite of us selecting a much colder temperature on our new thermostat. We now find ourselves talking about turning up the temperature so we don't get too cold. I didn't imagine that would ever happen in Arizona - especially August. The whole AC unit keeps us cooler, runs QUIETER, and we are far happier . Our solution: Trane XL15c Single Stage Pkg Heat Pump Aeroseal Install (helped us seal gaps in our old ducts so more of the cold air goes into each room instead of the walls) Trane Clean Effects & a UV Light (we keep a lot of pets, and this helps) Your solution will be different - tailored to your home and you.

My elderly mother who's going through kidney failure called me and said her water heater wasn't working. I looked up local companies because I like to support small businesses. I found rodeo plumbing. Corie was very responsive... at first. He came to the house, told my mother her water heater was out of warranty, she believed him. Corie advised the water heater needed to be replaced. Corie called his technician Keith, who was in town and could be here within a few hours with the new water heater. We paid the replacement cost and cost of the new water heater. Well, before Keith got here, I called the warranty company and they advised we had two years left on our warranty. I called Corie and advised of that before Keith got here. He said "great, we'll work on getting you reimbursed." When Keith was done installing, he wanted us to sign the invoice, we told him we wouldn't sign it until it said "pending reimbursement for warranty." He was very frustrated and annoyed with us, but he wrote it on the invoice. Well what do you know, they never emailed us that invoice. I've asked several times since this to contact Corie and he constantly says "I'm working on it." And nothing has been done, it has now been months. They've stolen from us and refuse to reimburse us. I will be taking this matter as far as I can take it. People who take advantage of the elderly should be held accountable to the highest degree. The heartlessness of this "company" is laughable. Stay far far away!

    "Good time" is a great name for this company because working with them was such a good time. My…read morehusband and I bought our first home and while trying to do some minor upgrades, found mold. We panicked and our minds went to the worst. I found this company and decided to give them a try based on other reviews. everyone who came out was incredible and so friendly. They made the whole process painless and I actually really enjoyed meeting them, despite the circumstances. Each person was so kind and took care of the house as if it was their own. The thing I see other people upset with and something i didn't know going into this is that this company DOES NOT do the repairs after the remediation. This was no issue to me, and i was able to call around while they did the work and find someone local to come patch up the drywall once they were done. But if you're not prepared for that, i can see how that would be upsetting to someone. Be careful not to assume the work anyone will do and always ask every question that comes into your mind. Brandan came out first to check for plumbing issues and was able to determine that our mold was likely not plumbing, something we needed to rule out. After talking him to him about the situation and how we just bought the house, he offered to check the plumbing of the rest of the house and came back with some really good catches. Nothing major but he was able to explain what he would recommend, and gave us quotes but made it clear there was no pressure. Having someone who knew so much was really wonderful to have out and it made us kick ourselves for not having a plumber come out with the home inspector but now we have a solid plumber we know we can call when/if we need one! Brandan also said that the mold issue was now something that needed to go to their mold guy,Ruben and called him right up. Ruben was able to come out same day and give us a better idea of the situation and a quote for the remediation. The price was fair and he said he would try his best to remove as little as possible while still being safe and thorough. He was so kind as well and very sympathetic to our situation, we immediately felt like we were in good hands. Ruben and Ivan came out to do the remediation work a few days later and they were amazing. They showed up on time, were quick yet also quiet, got the work done in the quoted time AND managed to save me a whole wall and builder shelves. Ruben then said he would adjust the cost of the service to reflect that as well, literally couldn't get any better. Getting an unexpected mold issue means saving any bit of money we could was huge, this also saved us on the drywall repair we had to do later. Ruben took so many pictures and took the time to talk me through what they saw and brought me into the space to show me and made sure i understood. Then when he came back the next day to pick up the fan, he took the time to do the same with my husband who hadn't been there the day before to make sure we both had all our questions answered. Plus the report we got after was so extensive and wonderful. Not everyone will put the effort into writing up a whole report, and just claim the work was done but they had sections for each step and lots of pictures. This review might sound overly positive, someone might be like they must have done something that you can critique but even my husband who can be quite picky with the work other people do, was impressed and had no comments. We were so stressed and i cant tell you what a calm presence and years of knowledge can do for people like us. this really set the bar for me and made me very happy to went with a local company. I had another local plumber come out to fix something a few days before them and did not have a good experience at all and when they called to ask me how the work went i told them i left feeling not the best. I'm so glad we not only were able to get rid of the mold BUT found a new plumber to keep on speed dial.

The reviews were really good so I decided to give them a try. They were able to fit me in on the same day while accommodating my schedule. When the technician, Brandon arrived, he was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We discussed the issue and he provided me with some solutions and pricing. The work described sounded like a thorough repair and the price seemed fair to me so he got to work. When he was done I was very pleased with the quality of work performed. Brandon left the area cleaner than it was before he started. The payment process was easy and pain free. I highly recommend this company if you want good quality work done.
