Great job on recessed can install x 4 in my living room ceiling. Installer even talked out of installing two more, since it's a small room. Installer didn't disclose switch material or labor cost but Dodge did the right thing and removed the charge. This is how customer service used to be. Bravo! read more

Our air conditioner went out due to an electrical issue and we could not be happier with the service we received. They responded incredibly fast with a breakdown of what needed to be done based on the pictures we uploaded and provided us with a very reasonable and accurate quote. They were also very empathetic to our situation and did their best to get someone out as soon as possible. Far sooner than anyone else was estimating. The technicians were friendly, courteous, and were able to complete the job within an hour. We requested a quote to get an outlet installed. They came out to review the quote and the tech was rude. We were treated as dumb for not knowing the ins and outs of our electrical box and were even questioned we had electrical out there. (We had previously been running lights and an AC unit). After all of that they texted us and said they are declining our ask (install an outlet outside? Lol) as they don't think they are the right company. Very odd experience with poor customer experience. Don't waste your time. UPDATE: business certainly deserves the right to refuse business. We were given no reason and were treated poorly. Based on owners replies to negative feedback he take no accountability nor attempts to understand the customer's point of view. My front door lamp hasn't been working and also some of the outlets weren't working either. No switches at the sub-panel was flipped. I contacted Dodge Electric for help. They responded right away and told me to try resetting gfci. This solved the outlet issue but the lamp still wasn't working. Dodge Electric told me their rate upfront and I said it was fine. Two people came out soon after. It was a simple fix of resetting the gfci that was on the side of the lamp, which I didn't know about. I really appreciate how responsive and helpful Dodge Electric was. When I called another company previously, the electrician was so secretive on what the problem was and how I can fix the issue if it happens again. Dodge Electric was very open and generous. I had contacted them to get an estimate for installing 6 new smoke detectors that I had purchased and they responded fairly quickly with a great estimate. I had originally requested they install 5 smoke detectors but I had mis counted them and texted them I had 6 instead of 5 and they said it didn't matter it was the same price. I agreed to the estimate and we set an appointment for them to come and install the hard wired smoke detectors. They gave me a 90 minute window for the tech to show up and he did a great job and arrived on time and installed the 6 smoke detectors and made sure they worked before leaving. It's been 3 years since I had Dodge Electric install a dedicated circuit for my hot tub and install the conduit and wiring. They were excellent, from estimate to the completion of the work. Professional, no-nonsense, and the guys even laughed at my lame jokes--now that's going above and beyond. The reason I am writing this review now (finally) is because I have been deep into a remodel project and had an electrical question. I exhausted my research on the internet, and remembered Dodge. I posted my question on their site, and Mike literally got back to me the same day. I'll be honest, I did not expect a reply, especially so soon. I have been harassed by the owner of this company for 2 years. He sent out two buffoons to do some straight forward electrical work in my house. It was like an episode from dumb and dumber. They did NOT get power in eIther outlet that I asked them to work on INSTEAD they replaced an outlet that actually worked (see picture) WITHOUT my permission. Yes they used White & didn't even match it!! Really? This is what THEIR WORKMANSHIP LOOKS LIKE FOLKS! I refuse to pay for this nonsense. Just like the other reviews after assessing my issue dumb and dumber said we can't fix this. So when the owner says none of his employees would do that he is lying! IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: He is lying. I DID speak with him after the service call and I explained in great detail what happened at my home. I hired Dodge to new install three Hunter ceiling fans with wall switches which turn on the light as well as the fan, in my three bedrooms. Dodge did a great job coming to my home to give me a written estimate, which was a reasonable price, well below another competitor by HALF! I didn't think electrician rates could deviate that much. After researching the low profile ceiling fans that I wanted, I called Hunter to verify which wall switch would work. As an aside, I strongly encourage you to NOT trust anything Hunter Fans sales or technical support staff tells you, because they sold me the wrong wall switches TWICE. The reason I'm explaining all of this is because Dodge Electric's electricians told me the ones that Hunter said would work, would not. They willingly offered to go out to a nearby home improvement store to get fully hard-wired wall switches, like I wanted. The Hunter wall switches are wired, but the receiver is operated by battery. That's an oxymoron for ya! Like jumbo shrimp! Tyler and Chaz purchased the correct switches, and installed everything perfectly. Very knowledgeable, courteous, clean cut, young men, who arrived promptly. I was very comfortable having them work inside my home. They wore masks, as did I. I thoroughly recommend Dodge Electric for any licensed electrical work. They also removed all boxes, and remnant trash to leave my bedrooms looking clean and picked up. Thank you, Dodge! This is my 2nd review for Dodge Electric, and I am just as impressed as I was the 1st time I had them out! The owner came out and went through my panel to see what issues might be solved there. I had not needed any work for a while and he gave me great information about how it all works and that my house is older, so it is fine, safe, no issues there. They repaired a major issue I had with lights going out in the smallest rainstorm. They are all nice, everyone that comes out. They are sincere, they will get it done, whatever it takes! They stand behind their work. THEY ARE HONEST as the day is long!!!! And, they are so fairly priced I thought for the time they spent! My house had an original main panel from the 70s, and it was beyond time to replace it. I also wanted a 60A subpanel run to the garage. Preston came to the house and provided a fast, thorough assessment. He answered all of my questions, and I received an estimate a few days later. After comparing their bid with several other quotes, Dodge's price was not the lowest (it fell somewhere near the middle). But after meeting Preston in person and speaking with Mike over the phone, I selected them for their knowledge, reputation, and customer service. I'm glad I did! After doing a lot of research on my own, I wanted new panels that took premium Type CH breakers. Mike worked closely with me to select the correct parts despite supply chain problems brought on by the pandemic. It took a little longer to get everything ordered, but I got exactly what I wanted. I had a fantastic experience with these guys. We had an outlet do bad things... one of those situations where none of the kids seemed to know what happened- it supposedly just started sparking. So, I killed the breaker, hit Yelp late on a Sunday night, and found these guys. I already had a message waiting for me when I woke up Monday morning and the electrician was out in the early afternoon. He worked quickly, was polite, and the final bill to replace the outlet was pretty close to the ballpark figure they gave me over the phone- a little over $100... and that's mostly because they have an hour minimum or some jazz. Given the situation, I think it was more than fair and will be calling them out to help with other stuff in the future. I couldn't have asked for a better experience from start to finish. Mike S. should not be the one replying to Yelp requests on behalf of the company. I asked to schedule a service visit with him on Yelp and his words verbatim were, "I'm sorry I don't handle scheduling. I understand the urgency in this situation. So maybe try calling simple electric is who I would recommend." (I literally copy/pasted his response). I didn't even say my service need was urgent, I simply said that time is of the essence if he wants my business because other companies are sending me quotes too and he was wasting my time in the chat. After receiving pricing from him, I asked when they could come out. He said he doesn't do scheduling and I would have to get in touch with the scheduling person. I thought, "then why are you wasting my time? I should be chatting with someone who has the skill and desire to earn business and give quotes while also scheduling." The other companies that provide quotes were also offering to schedule me in the same chat as the quote. Seems like Dodge Electric is a dinosaur that doesn't understand how to grow a business or act professionally. If I had to guess, I'll bet any company growth has come because of demand, despite Mike's terrible attitude and low business/marketing acumen. read more

Very professional and very affordable! I called Dodge Electric 2 weeks ago because I needed 3 new fans installed. 1 of the 3 fans I need a whole new box installed where there was never a fan before. I contacted this company based on really good reviews, and fellow yelpers are correct. I needed to have ceiling fans installed before it gets too hot here. They told me someone will be here between 7:30am and 8:30am and he showed up at 7:50am in a company van. He was very professional and installed all three fans in three hours. He cleaned up the mess and took all the trash with him, even after I offered to use my garbage bin. Payment was very simple and easy. A few days later, I received e-mail from the company with the final bill and I paid online with my credit card. How simple and easy is that! We have used Dodge a few times now. The first time was when our main breaker blew to the house over the Thanksgiving holiday, and it was down pouring. Most places were closed and there were tons of electrical/power grid problems due to the rain. We had hundreds of dollars worth of food in our fridge that could have been wasted had Dodge not come over to save the day! The owner himself came over, shortly after we called, and he waited in his truck until SRP finally showed up to turn the power off from the street so he could complete the job. Ever since that day, we have used them for various electrical issues/ upgrades on our house, and will highly recommend them to anyone we know! Second five star review for the Dodge team. This time they installed coach lights on our garage exterior walls. Not an easy job as they had to drill through two 8" thicknesses of block construction. Came from breaker box into attic. Dropped into garage with perfect conduit work to light boxes and switch. Installed a smart digital switch so we could set to go on at dusk and off at dawn based in our region (south). Customer service, electricians and price were all top notch. Quality was spot on. So much appreciate knowing in advance that there could be slight stucco damage, but it was easily repaired with stucco patch and caulk--that communication is very important. read more
