I had put my clothes in the machine, put my soap, put my card in and went to push start and the machine was giving an error that the water was low and it wouldn't let me start the machine. I went to call the guy for help and I said hello to him, he didn't say anything back. I went to the machine and he followed me and tried to start it but it didn't work so he restarted the machine. He then walked away from me not saying anything so I kept saying "excuse me, excuse me" and he just kept walking. He finally turned around and I asked him was he going to refund me the money the card took, he said that was what he was going to do....WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY ANYTHING THEN?? He came back and restarted the machine and it was still giving the same error message. He then told me to move my clothes to a different machine and I was trying to explain to him that I already put the soap in the machine and he just kept repeating "move it to another machine then proceed to yell at me "what did I say!?" and that I don't listen and started pulling his ear while yelling at me that I don't listen. That was utterly rude...I am not his child and there was no reason for him to get loud and disrespectful with me.

From the outside it appears to be clean, inviting, and never busy. Once I arrived, it was very clean, smelled good, organized, excellent service from the staff, and it was very spacious. Bonus to this place is that it is not coin operated. You will need to purchase a laundry card and add the funds . . . how neat! In hindsight the machine in my building not working saved me from walking up & down the steps and only doing 2 loads at a time. I arrived at 11 and was back home by 1:35 and that was after washing, folding, putting clothes in bag, and walking to the carry-out and liquor store. I might ditch the convenience of washing clothes again in my building and go to the neighborhood laundry mat and get it done much faster!

There is a guy here that is probably somebody's grandpa (does he have butterscotch in his pocket?) that was the attendant. He mopped up quickly, he told me it was going to take no less than 30 minutes of drying on low (very true). He was running the place efficiently. It was clean, 90% operable and in a good neighborhood. Although small and they don't take credit cards I will come back if my "Honey Do List" takes me worldwide and back to DC.

Going in, I had NO idea what to do or what things would cost. A fellow customer advised me to use the extra large washers. I learned later that I added waaaaay too much cleanser. I could go on about my series of unfortunate events (doors not closing, suds everywhere, water on the floor- all user error), but I digress. With all of my angst and mishaps, at every turn, there was someone to assist me, and mostly without asking! There are vending machines, a television, a few arcade games, a store and a counter to purchase detergents. There are little separation areas to keep you from feeling overwhelmed. My rug didn't ring properly, so my drying time was well over 1.5 hours, but that was because of the padding on the rug. I'm here on a Sunday morning. It is not crowded. There were some language barriers, but that didn't stop the staff from eagerly coming over to help me. You guys know I appreciate exceptional customer service! My only criticism (and it's slight) is what's going on in each phase of the wash cycle is not clearly marked. I would return.

We quickly figured out that there are three different washing machine sizes (the two smaller machines were $3.50 and $4.50 a load) and they each take quarters. There's an atm on site, and a machine to change larger bills into smaller bills and smaller bills into quarters. The machines were clean and the there was an attendant with a red apron on keeping order throughout the place. This laundromat is not new or fancy, though they did have an in-house barber, snacks and even some games and most importantly, my clothes were clean and dry when I left. The dryers are in two separate rooms, which got pretty warm, though dried clothes quickly. There are carts to carry clothes from the washer to the dryer and then onward to get folded. There were a bunch of tables to fold laundry and people moved quickly to fold their clothes and move on.

The place appears to be clean, bright, several garbage cans are placed around the laundry area, and customer service is good. There is a shop inside which contains laundry supplies for purchase, which is also where the attendant sits, about two or three televisions, some benches for patrons to sit, and the usual carts and laundry folding tables. I thought that this was a fee for the card, but when I added money for my load I saw that my dollar spent was added to my card. There is a bill breaker machine so you don't need to add more money than you'll need. (I have $1.01 credit now) There are so many machines and they are all brand new. I work down the road, and this place was a work in progress for almost two years. It's really loud in here with blaring Latino music and screaming kids running around. You can escape next door to the Family Dollar while your clothes are in the wash, just watch the time. They also have a huge snack bar, and of course sell laundry aids.
