This is by far the worst ski resort ever..... It was our first family vacation for my husband and my 5 year old son and I, and not only did we inform this to the sales person when we arrived but she informed us that she would take care of us. It was the first time my family had gone to the snow. The first time that we ever went snowboarding, and we wanted to take snowboarding lessons. The sales person was very nice and seemed to know what she was doing. She set up my son in a kids class for lessons, and set up my husband and I for a class as well. Both were set up for 12:30 p.m. When I was dropping my son off for his lesson, I went over to the sales person to inform her that we were dropping our son off, and would be late for our lesson. She said that was fine, so I went back to stand in line with our son. The sales person came back and told us we had to go, she said that we could not be late and that she would take care of my son and make sure he gets his rentals. I did not feel comfortable with this, but I thought they must do these types of things all the time. Or why else would she set all of us up at the same time. So we went to our lesson thinking that our son would be taken care of and was getting his rentals. Our lesson lasted about 3 hours same as our son. When our lesson was over I came to find my son in the rental area just sitting there by himself. The instructor was there and she informed us that he did not want to snowboard that he wanted to wear skis instead, and she is not a ski instructor she only teaches snowboarding. So instead of calling us at that point, she decided to have him sit there in the rental area. She also informed us that he had asked for me several of times. Even at that time I did not know what was going on, my husband asked her for my sons glasses. The instructor turned to my son and asked him were did he put them. Not only did we not find them, but after we left my son tells me how he missed us and how he asked for us. At that time I was very upset because on the paperwork you fill out you leave your number for emergencies . No one called me and informed me that my son was missing us or looking for us. My son was actually stuck there for over and hour waiting in the rental area. Not only did he not get his lesson that I paid almost a hundred dollars for, but they did not provide him with a snack or hot coco that was included int the lesson. My 5 year old was very upset that all the other kids had received this but him, he informed us that he was just sitting there while the instructor laughed with other co-workers, and he told me that his instructor told him that she was the boss, whatever that means. As soon as I heard all of this I contacted the sales rep and I informed her what had happened to my son, and believe me I was not nice. Not only did I request my money back for the lesson that was never taught, but I requested that disciplinary actions needed to be taken for my son. The sales rep was nice and got back to me asap and informed me that she did not know why they did not call me. She had a copy of the paperwork I had signed and saw that my number was there to be contacted. She also informed me that they have a policy there, and if a child asks for his parents they need to call them . Which is way I thought they asked for a number to call in case of emergency. She informed me that she spoke with both the instructor and the manager of that department and asked why I was not contacted, and she was informed that they did call me but that my phone went to voice mail. So the instructor then decided to not leave a message because they thought I did not have service. Since Verizon and Sprint are the only providers with service, and to top it off I actually have Verizon. So I actually had service and was checking my phone constantly. If these people would of had any common since they would of left a voice mail and I would have gotten my son, and none of this would have happened. The sales person apologized for this and asked if we would like to come back, and that they would refund our money and pay for us to come back out and do this whole thing all over again. I said no, there is no way I would ever put my son in the care of your employees. Not only were the majority of employees working there rude and unhelpful, but they did not even want to do there job. They would do it half fast just like the incident with my son. Ugh just thinking about this makes me more furious. I do not recommend this place for anyone, especially for kids who want to take snowboarding lessons. This was unfortunately our first time to the snow, and it was definitely not one I want to remember..............Save yourself the drive and go to another ski resort , the rude and young and helpful staff here make it a really horrible experience. read more
