The complimentary breakfast was okay, but I wish there had been more variety and additional options to choose from. It was a nice perk, but expanding the selection would make it even better. The only downside is that the hotel itself feels a bit outdated. I think it has so much potential if the property were renovated, including the hallways, bathrooms, and guest rooms. With some updates, it could easily become an outstanding hotel. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. While I don't think the property itself is quite at a 4- or 5-star level yet, the exceptional customer service certainly deserves 5 stars. The staff truly made the experience memorable. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. The location and outstanding staff make it worth coming back. That said, I would love to see the hotel add a small lobby gift shop with snacks, drinks, and travel essentials to make the experience even more convenient for guests. The property has so much potential to truly stand out with some thoughtful updates and renovations. I would honestly love to renovate the entire place because I can see how beautiful it could become. The complimentary cheese and wine hour was a wonderful touch and something I really enjoyed and others as well. As for the cookies, they were good but cheap, but I think it would be even more memorable if the hotel partnered with a local Marin County bakery to offer fresh, locally made cookies or pastries. Supporting a local business would give guests a true taste of the area while creating a unique experience they'll remember. Those little details are what make a hotel stand out, and guests are more likely to remember both the delicious treats and the hotel that introduced them to them.

We come to Sausalito at least once a year and always stay at the Inn Above Tide. It's located on the waterfront and each room has the perfect view of the ocean, looking out towards the city of San Francisco and the San Francisco Bay Bridge. All the rooms have their own private deck where you can relax with a glass of wine or champagne and take in the beautiful views of the city of San Francisco. All the shops and restaurants on Bridgeway St. are within walking distance of the Inn. It is also right next to the Ferry where you can purchase tickets for a ride into San Francisco. When you arrive, you are greeted at the gate of their private parking lot, where your car is safely stored during your stay. Check-in is always easy and all the staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. They offer a Continental breakfast that is served buffet-style in their Drawing Room or you can have your breakfast delivered to your room for a $5 fee. Every evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. they have wine, cheeses, crackers, and fresh fruit for all guests in their Drawing Room. You can also arrange to have this delivered to your room as well. When we arrived to our suite, they had a lovely anniversary surprise waiting for us inside. They had a silver tray on our table, with a white rose, a bottle of champagne, a box of Napa Valley chocolates, and a lovely card to welcome us. When we booked our stay, for this trip, we chose the City Lights Suite. The inside of the suite is beautiful, luxurious, immaculate, and very spacious. The bed was very comfortable. I have an allergy to feathers. They made sure our pillows and bedding did not contain any down feathers. They had fresh, gorgeous orchids in the main part of the suite as well as the en suite bathroom. If you want to watch a movie, they have a huge catalog of DVDs, you can pick from, to watch in your room. They really go above and beyond to make your stay an unforgettable experience. That's why we always come back. I want to especially thank all the staff for making us feel welcome and making our stay extra special.

We're the type of people who enjoy long, relaxed meals with multiple courses, drinks, and dessert, but everything felt hurried and dismissive. DoorDash drivers didn't want to deliver to the hotel, and when they did, the food arrived cold. Before you make a reservation you need to ask yourself "am I looking for a place to sleep and shower right by the beautiful bay or am I looking for a luxurious hotel experience?" if it's the latter then this hotel is definitely not for you. I originally booked this hotel for two nights but ended up departing after one night due to the noise level of other guests. I don't think they were particularly loud however due to how the rooms are designed (they are designed more like a hostel, the rooms are literally so close to one another because they tried to fit in as many rooms as they possibly could in such an enclosed space) It was impossible to get a good night's rest. As someone who is very sleep sensitive it's imperative that I get my good hours of sleep in to properly function throughout the day. Robin who works in the front however is very warm and welcoming and will take the time to properly explain how to best utilize your room and the location of the hotel. She will also let you know the best place to park so that you do not end up getting a ticket, the hotel gets a pass from the city to park there for a fee, the fee depends on how busy It is. If I could write a review just based on my interactions with Robin - I would give this place 5 stars but the hotel itself and the room just did not live up to an ideal stay.

I asked the agent if there was another room above mine and was told no. I was also told the room was very quiet. These were both lies. The room was promoted and booked as a cottage, and that implies several things, starting with an understanding that it's a small free-standing building with a modicum of privacy. That was not the case. Our "cottage" was in-fact a ground-floor unit in a fourplex, with people upstairs and artificial turf in front. We shared patio space with our neighbor. He was cleaning his feet as we arrived and immediately asked if he could borrow our outdoor furniture as he was planning to entertain family, which he later did. But the biggest problem--other than the lies at the time of the booking--was upstairs. There was a toddler who spent hours doing wind sprints up and down the uncarpeted floor, and soundproofing was minimal. So, between the garden party next door and Junior Jetrod overhead, we did not have a restful late afternoon and early evening. After 9 pm or so, things quieted down enough to eventually fall asleep. Hotel staff did its best to make things better, and I was permitted to cancel a second night without penalty. But we never should have been there in the first place. Had the reservations agent told the truth, I would have looked elsewhere.

But this was not. I was a loyal IHG customer until now. To top it off, the contractor they used to steal my car made fun of my visual disability.

Yes, my shutters could use repair, but they were still functional. Room was small, but cozy, fit the bill. Microwave worked, TV, small fridge was nice n cold. For folks not used to traveling, a lot of rooms have single cup coffee makers (just google it if you need help figuring it out, they're pretty simple). To be honest, for the price, being one of the few places in town that still had a room, I wasn't expecting coffee, a fridge, or a microwave, so that was a pleasant surprise. Parking is easy, getting in and out of the property is easy. Yes it is older, so just by virtue of age, you're likely to possibly hear your neighbors shower, or to hear some creaky floors if you're on the bottom floor. It's near water...as someone who lives at the beach, this means bugs might come visit. Knock on wood though, this stay, I haven't yet seen a critter, and thankfully my pup has great ears and a great sniffer, so hopefully would give me a heads up if we had friends. But truly, even the highest end hotels have critters...again, you're near water. I haven't yet taken a shower, but again, my previous hotel started my day with a cold shower and a bar of soap, so my expectations are low. Just happy to be parked outside the room. The room smelled and looked clean when arrived, so that's what mattered most. If you have concerns, check out your room first, and bring up concerns immediately. Anyone can complain online, but if you need assistance, address it immediately. Staff seems friendly and willing to help.

It was on the budget end of the scale, which might be the first clue that things were not going to be fancy-style. The property is clearly old and tired. First, let me enumerate the positives. The location could hardly be easier. It's on Highway 1 just off Highway 101 in Mill Valley. And considering the location, our room was surprisingly free of road noise, probably because it had newish dual pane windows. The bedding was clean, and the bed was pretty comfortable. The door lock was of a new and modern design. The clerk that checked us in was very friendly. Lastly, the toilet and sink appeared to be fairly recently upgraded. On the minus side of the ledger, the TV did not work. The bathroom is small. There were stains in the tub, and the floor of the tub flexed underfoot. The (fairly recently upgraded) toilet did not flush correctly. There are no towel hooks, rods, or bars to hang towels on. The hot/cold controls on the sink are backwards. The room smelled of stale marijuana smoke. There were scorch marks/burns on the desk. There was no breakfast as advertised on the website. There was no hair dryer as advertised on the website. Two of the ceiling light cans did not work. The walls are thin enough to hear conversations, the neighbors' TV, and more. There are numerous dings and scrapes in the walls and doors. The toilet paper was nearly thin enough to see through. There was no kleenex in the room. The sink stopper was missing. There was no phone in the room. There are a few things that I can only classify as weirdness, although they could probably serve as a indicators that this is no 5-star facility: The website is incomplete, with many pages showing the default web page language ("Lorum ipsum dolor sit amet..."). The contact email on the website is "info@example.com". The clerk sits in a plexiglass enclosure. There is a poster displaying the potential signs of human trafficking next to the clerk's enclosure. The bathroom has mounting hardware for fixtures that are no longer installed (former light and hair dryer mount?). The blinds were broken, missing the rod that connects all the slats together. The electrician seemed to leave the jobsite early, leaving an electrical box without a cover (possibly the reason the TV wasn't working). Would we stay there again? The Muir Woods Lodge would not be our first choice. It would not be our second choice. It would not be our third, fourth, fifth, or sixth choice, either. But if we absolutely had to stay in Mill Valley, we might be willing to stay there again, if the alternative would be to sleep in the car or on a park bench.

It was very efficient and had a large flat screen TV mounted opposite the king-sized pillow top bed. The bed was comfortable and the TV got all channels, including HBO. The value for the money was key for us so the newly renovated room was a pleasant surprise. I would highly recomment it.

The event site is just beautiful with a fantastic built-in bar, tons of gorgeous trees, a great dance floor, and more. It provided the perfect place for us to have the ceremony and reception. I know the pictures are going to be fantastic. The icing on the cake is the staff. They were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They went above and beyond, and it made a huge difference in the entire wedding weekend. Robert was wonderful. He was so accommodating and helpful. That goes a long way as the mother of the bride trying to pull this whole event together. He supported me every step of the way. Thank you Robert! Juan was really great. He seemed to be just where we needed him whenever we needed him. He helped us with so many things that we were not expecting to be helped with and he did it all happily and willingly. Juan, you're the best! Sandra handled all of our room booking changes without complaint and with patience and care. Thank you Sandra! Cell phone reception isn't the best either. I think what I am getting at is that you can really disconnect when you say at La Honda Park. You are forced to communicate with your loved ones. The cottages are only equipped with a microwave. If you want to cook something more robust, there is a communal kitchen in the pool house. Believe me, it has everything you need. Also, there are bbqs in just about every common area. Aside from the beautiful grounds and comfortable accommodations, there is the barn. The barn is probably the best part about this place. It has a foosball table, a pool table, poker table, dart board, and a tv. The back doors slide open to a small seating area overlooking Angel Creek. I can't describe it. You just need to experience. The owner are Jenn and Barr. They were so nice. Once we checked in, they left us alone. In fact, they left the property. Besides my family, there was another family staying in the Main House. They were very nice and welcoming. I can't wait to go back and sit next to the creek and drink my morning coffee.

A gaggle of girlfriends rented three cottages here, as three of us were celebrating our 40th/41st birthdays. The perfect "home base" for staging an attack upon Murphys downtown shopping, dining and wine tasting establishments, or as a leap-off point for local hikes and the gorgeous Moaning and Mercer Caverns. Each cottage is appointed with a gas-fueled faux wood-stove fireplace (easy operation via thermostat), fridge, micro, coffee maker, basic silverware/plates/cups, wonderful showers (great for power-washing off the mud and sweat after a day of rappelling and spelunking!) and extremely comfortable queen beds. Each cottage has its own character, giving the feel of the kind of decor a favorite aunt might select for your family's personal mountain cabin. Extremely clean and comfortable! Hang out by the fire, or chill out on your own front porch overlooking the lawn and creek. Or... ...head over to The Barn, a communal recreation room appointed with an air-hockey table, pool table, kitchen area (including a wine fridge!) and big-screen satellite TV/sat radio. The Barn was recently remodeled, using reclaimed barnwood, corrugated metal (for the ceiling sub-roof) and a pretty brilliant wallcovering that looks like warm old plaster, but is actually recycled craft paper and some sort of natural varnish. Cool! Also, a few relics from the region's mining days. There are board games, darts, books and other stuff to keep the individual, family or small group entertained. There's a large swimming pool (unheated in winter) and a small wading pool adjacent to another community kitchen and outdoor picnic area, and the only thing this area lacks is a hot tub. (Hint, hint!) Finally, there's Cosmo, the biggest, sweetest cat you'll ever want to kidnap. He's not allowed in the cabins, but he'll happily keep you company as you read a book on the porch, or wander up to the beautiful waterfalls behind the barn. He'll also keep score if you want to use the bocce court or horseshoe pits! Parking is limited, so don't expect to haul in ATV trailers or your RVs, but that's about the only con to this wonderful little family-run resort!

You can let the innkeepers know about any dietary restrictions, but as an omnivore, every dish they serve is AMAZING, both aesthetically and culinarily. So our donuts were cold and not fresh like other reviews stated. Possibly leftovers? No hot tub due to maintenance. Husband was really looking forward to it and would have been amazing after our hike. They did warn us though before we arrived. Bathroom light is on a timer and kept turning off on us bc we didn't know how long we were turning it on for since the length of time not labeled Overall would stay again if going to murphys.

Rooms are clean and comfortable with sofa ( not sofa bed) in the living room. The heat laminar the bathroom was a big plus . The bad- it provides virtually no supplies , not even paper towel. There was not a single plate or utensil in the kitchenette . I was glad that I brought a pocketknife along. A sewage odor was noted at our entrance and we could hear the noise from the room above and on the street at 6 am. The breakfast donuts were plentiful but not freshly baked. I would have loved a freshly baked one over the half a dozen provided. Oh yes, you have to make your own bed !

They were gracious and helpful while we repaired the trailer. One of my favorite things about this park is it is clearly family owned. You can also tell how much they care about it. The grounds are well maintained and it is such a fun atmosphere with the gold mining theme throughout. It is also a great location. It is easy to get to many of the amazing places to see in the area. We originally planned to get married outside in the amphitheater, but it was buried in snow. We ended up using DeBoer Hall for the ceremony, and it was magical! Our guests had so much fun, and everyone said the cabins were warm and cozy. Everyone embraced the feet of snow surrounding camp, and it made for a unique experience. Our camp wedding was everything we hoped for, and we are so glad we found Camp Sylvester. One of my favorite moments was watching our guests having snowball fights and building snowmen on the morning of the wedding. Ken was incredibly helpful in the planning process! All the Camp Sylvester staff were kind and responsive throughout the wedding weekend. I highly recommend you plan an event at Camp Sylvester!

Spent the week here for camp and have to say it was a very nice, well laid out camp. The camp as…read moreyou might expect has the hub for the leader/director to set up shop. Dining hall, bathrooms on both sides of the camp, amphitheater, activity room and of course cabins all named after trees, mine being the "Oak" cabin. Amongst all that are plenty of places to pitch tents all within the boundaries and not to disturb the residents who live around the camp. What I really liked about the camp are the other activities that available like a basketball court (not a full court) but enough to shoot some hoops and a volleyball net. Also the staff who run the camp (outside of our program) were accommodating if we needed additional supplies or had questions about the site. There are also plenty of trees to set up some hammocks and pits to have a fire. The camp is within walking distance to Pinecrest lake which of course is a plus. I enjoyed our time here, my only critique is the bathrooms could use either some ventilation or air fresheners. It was painful to my nose every time I had to go in there. We even tried to keep it clean but the smell was just too strong. Fun camp site otherwise though.
