One of my favorite wineries in Temecula! FAMILY-OWNED!! Their selection of Reds is fantastic, they have the best Cab in the area ..hands down! Also recommend the Mistura and if you can get your hands on it the Don Armando. The tasting room is beautifully decorated with refurbished vintage motorcycles that the winery owner collects and clearly has a passion for along with his wines. The family is always there helping serve wine along with telling you great stories -you get a great sense of the love that was put into each bottle. The grounds are also beautiful...relaxing patio and music that the owner pipes into the vineyard for his grapes to listen to! If you like great wine, great ambiance, and don't want to feel like you are in a commercial warehouse-type winery..this is the place for you! It feels like coming home! read more

Why are members treated so poorly? I would have given no stars; but this is not an option. I went to Doffo with friends. These friends are both Doffo club members. They love good wine; & are happy to pay for quality product. This recent visit, they were shabbily treated by the scantily clad manager. They came to pick up their club agreed order, but they only liked one of the pre-selected club bottle choices. They requested three bottles of Paulina, in exchange for the wines they did not like. The manager accused them of "using the system". ( it is important to note, the previous month, they bought four bottles of wine costing over $60/bottle). They felt humiliated; and could not understand why any corporation would treat their customers so poorly. Consequently, they canceled their membership and wish to tell their story to anyone who might be interested in this particular winery. As there are many wineries in the area, with competitive prices, and exceptional quality, they are sure their money will be well spent elsewhere read more

So...I joined the wine club. That's how much I loved the wine. I came here as a suggestion from a person at Hart Winery and am very glad I went here. It's one of the farthest wineries in the region but worth it. I went on a Monday so it was quiet and was the only one there. I tasted the wines and loved each one but ended up buying bottles of the Mistura and the Malbec. I'm a sucker for Malbecs and this place has an amazing one. It is pricey but to me it's worth it. It's small production and done well. I've been to other wineries in various places and it's one of the few that I fell in love with almost all the wines. When this happens I end up being a member at the winery for awhile which is what exactly what happened. I look forward to my future shipments. read more

Great Winery, a bit deeper Into the vineyards of Temecula. Although if you love all that entails wine country as much as I do, well worth the semi-short travel. Great part is the scenic views and the several Indian motorcycles placed on display like an old country yard. It has the feel of a comfy winery, and an old garage..my flavor! Red, red, red.......OMG! This has been my 4th visit and they never disappoint. I only came here on a co-workers recommendation 3 years ago. This is one of two stops that I make in Temecula. Their reds are absolutely fabulous. Where do I begin? This is a family owned winery, most of the time in the tasting room you will be served by someone in the family. Today's visit we met with the son & mother.... this was "the" one tasting we really enjoyed. Loved hearing the family stories, a real personal touch. Okay..back to the reds. They are still working on their whites, bypass to GO and just do their reds. For Temecula this is really a gem. Tastings for their reserves are 20 bucks...well worth it. Small tasting room, they do have a nice patio, buy a glass of your favorite red for 18 bucks and sit in their patio. Maybe, you'll be lucky and run into the bread man. Syrah, Zinfandel & the Port were our favorites. They are more expensive then the other wineries around, but you are paying for quality and not quantity. Salute! read more

Doffo became my favorite in Temecula! I love their white, red, sparking, everything. It was all fruity, refreshing after taste which I liked a lot. I liked the hook under the counter that I can keep my purse safely during tasting. Clever idea! Doffo family's passion for their handmade wines make this place a positive atmosphere. Took my mom wine tasting on Mother's Day, this was our second trip to Doffo, and this time we knew to save the best for last. Doffo did not disappoint. I've been dreaming about their Sauvignon Blanc since our last trip when I foolishly decided to pass on purchasing a bottle. This time I made sure to pick that up AND some of their delicious, homemade Chimichurri. We've had the pleasure of speaking with both Zulma, and now Damian who did our most recent tasting. Whatever you do, don't let him just pour your wine - TALK TO THIS GUY! He's incredibly knowledgeable and personable, we learned an incredible amount about the process, the wine industry, the specific wines we were drinking - It was absolutely fascinating and Damian is very, very good at what he does. On both visits I've felt very welcome, you immediately can tell that this is a family-run business and they truly care about their customers and do everything they can to make you feel welcome and comfortable. At the end of the tasting they've always asked us if there's anything we'd like to revisit - I love this. The places that use a punch card and would send you back up to the cash register just seem so tacky. The tasting prices are reasonable, especially for the value of what you're getting. This is GOOD wine. The *only* very, very minor issue I have is that I'm not fond of the sparkling they do - It's very sweet and I wish they would do something closer to a Brut. read more

I am a wine club member at Doffo Winery...need I say more?? I love their wines! Definitely the best in Temecula! I found this place a couple years ago and since then I stopped buying from other popular places, such as Ponte/Falkner/Bally/Monte de Oro(Oh wait...I've never bought wines from Monte de Oro...I left with a pie!! Kentucky Derby Pie)...etc..... Doffo Winery specializes in reds (perfect..I'm a red wine person)!! Some people may think the prices are too high for their reds. However, the quality of their wines actually makes up for it. Generally speaking, I would have to pay about 1.5 times of the prices at other places to match the wines of the Doffo quality. I really appreciate the Doffo familiy to keep the prices down for their wines. I don't mean the wines are cheap here...I definitely do not open my bottles of Doffo wines for friends who can't tell the difference between a fine quality bottle and a bottle of two buck Chuck. Last time I went down there and pick up my shipment and head over to a party. I felt generous and opened a bottle of Zinfandel a few wine lovers at the party. They all LOVED it!! Now I have people bugging me to take them for wine tasting!! Speaking of which....I'll be heading out there again this week! BTW...next door to Doffo..Chapin Winery is pretty good too...but...not as good as Doffo! Unless you want to try a bubbly sparkling red with a white peppery finish (fun wine to drink)....otherwise....save your time and $$ and just go to Doffo! Amazing reds and a friendly, intimate atmosphere make Doffo a must visit for any wine fan looking for the finest top to bottom lineup in Southern California. Rivals Napa/Sonoma for quality in virtually every bottle. You pay a little more, but you're paying for Temecula's best. We were there last night for our first wine club event and we had a great time. A must visit spot!!! We visited various wineries and this was by far our favorite. Read a bad Yelp review about the owner's daughter and guess who waited on us, the owner's daughter, (Samantha) and she was absolutely wonderful, friendly, and knowledgeable. We loved her! She even gave us a tour of her father's restored motorcycle collection (incredible) since they were slow. Their whites were so refreshing and light, they don't infuse flavor like others up there. Their reds are done "old world style" so it is unlike anything else up in Temecula, not see through like all the others we tasted. We loved their Syrah best but they were all very good. Their sparkling wine was very, very good. This was our last stop and considered skipping it but it was well worth it and turned out to be our favorite. read more

We always drive past this place and finally decided to stop by. The place is nice, cool decor. We decided to try the 5 tastings for $15, the wines were ok from what we could tell due to the small amount they actually pour. It was more like a sipping, just enough to wet your lips. We were the only couple there for a few minutes while waited for a staff member to come in the tasting room, then a small group showed up. After we finished, we were asked if we wanted to buy any, which we declined because it was kinda hard to tell which ones we liked. Kind of a bummer, I was really hoping it would be a better experience. We will stick to our normal spot where we have a membership. Unfortunately we won't be back anytime soon. read more

As a NorCal girl who has been spoiled by Sonoma, Napa, Monterey and Santa Cruz County wines and tasting rooms, I must admit did not expect Temecula to compare to what I am used to. However, the wines and awesome staff at Doffo Winery impressed me. When we arrived at Doffo, I loved the unpretentious grounds, view and super cool red, black and moto decor! Of course, we were there for the wine, which was fabulous but it was our server Samantha who made it truly enjoyable. Although we were initially a bit taken aback by the tasting fee, it was well worth it. Despite the large crowds, Samantha took the time to walk us through our tasting. She not only described each wine, noting the flavor nuances but entertained us with little stories and history of how the different wines were made. We found her very knowledgeable (she is the daughter of the owner) about the wine and region but also a very skilled server considering the popularity the winery (which was packed, including groups with children (huh?!)). Doffo Winery was our favorite stop on our Temecula trip. As soon as we got home we eagerly broke into our bottles and followed the food pairing Samantha suggested. Needless to say, we did a few happy dances afterwards! We can't wait to go back and re-up! read more

We visited Doffo earlier this month on a three stop wine tour for a Bachelorette party. This was by far the best stop on the tour both in wine flavors and experience. I was concerned that with a group as large as twelve we wouldn't have very much attention however we received unparalleled personal attention from Damian Doffo (owner's son and winemaker). He was friendly and very informative. There were a large variety of flavors and colors that we had the opportunity to taste. The Chimichurri is to die for definitely a must have!! Oh my gosh this place is truly a gem in Temecula. First off the wines are ridiculously amazing. So flavorful. The atmosphere is to die for. If you are into motorcycles you have got to check out the tasting room. The patron is ideal for a great afternoon of wine. The the staff is absolutely amazing. We were told that Doffo was the best red wines in the valley. We got there early and wandered a little - looking at some of the 150 motorcycles on the property. The attendants in the room were friendly and accommodating. The tastings seemed like they were smaller pours than most wineries. The wines were pretty good, but a different style that I am used to. We bought a bottle of a very interesting wine - the 2015 Rosario - a Cabernet Sauvignon Rose. It is a nice - fresh - fruity rose that we can't wait to relax on the patio with a snack. Easily the best wine we tasted in the Temecula valley. Loved the Viognier, Salute and especially the Syrah. The wines are elegant and far and away the most refined that we experienced on our trip. A couple of months ago, Samantha took us on a wonderful tour of the winery! She is very knowledgeable and gave detailed explanations of the grapes and wine-making process. The motorcycle collection is awesome! It makes this winery very unique and fun to visit. That Saturday, there was live music and empanadas which were both excellent. We liked the MD Gran Tinto and the Malbec combined with their savory chimichurri. I visited again this past Sunday because my parents have never been there. My parents liked the MD Super Tinto and mom loved the Paulina Sparkling. There was no music or empanadas this time. The great thing about Doffo winery is that it is a boutique winery and not one of your run of the mill commercial properties. They make some wonderful Syrah but I have to say that my favorites were the Malbec and The Tiarella (Red blend). The wine is on the pricey side, however definitely worth the price for a small lot estate wine. Hospitality here is excellent and a Doffo family member will undoubtedly be your host. I was definitely impressed to learn that their entire wine making process is done by hand (including the gold painted bottles).
