Checked this place out last spring with 3 friends for wine tasting experience. We got sitted right away in the patio, without reservation. Ordered wine and charcuterie board, it was good amount of portion for 4. Our server was attentive and made sure we were okay. Place is nice to hang around for a bit to take pictures. Overall, it's a nice experience and will definitely recommend to Yelpers. read more

Came to visit the winery on a Sunday morning to celebrate some birthdays, and we went upstairs to have glasses of champagne and enjoy the views. We had previously had lunch and drinks during the weekend and so we decided to just out for drinks upstairs in the members lounge, although we would've liked to have had food served upstairs. Our overall experience with the winery has always been plentiful and joyous with the memories we have with family and friends. The parking is a little sparse, but the service and accommodations have always been five star. I would recommend this winery as one of your stops to enjoy your day. read more

Love this place!!!! It has an absolutely amazing view of the mountains and rolling hills. I was so amazed by how dynamic this place was between quiet chills afternoons and entertaining/loud evenings with live music. They also offer some good food (fries), really good margaritas (they have a full bar), and great tasting wine slushies ! I love the friendly staff with the extra / heavy-handed pours that I even proposed to my girlfriend here ....she said YES! 100% recommend this place. read more

Went to Temecula for a day trip with the girls. Altisima was our first stop. We had reservations at 1130 for brunch on a Saturday. The place was decent, got sat right away, and took our time ordering food and drinks. 4 drinks, 4 entrees, and 2 appetizers to share came out to about 85$ a person including tip. The food wasn't amazing, but rather decent. Some of us liked the calamari, but I didn't like it as much. I should have tried their ceviche. I ordered their tomato pasta with salmon. The salmon was way overcooked and dry. Wasn't worth what I paid for it. Eventually a live ban started playing. Lots of outdoor seating and spots to take pictures. Staff members were nice and place was clean. We were celebrating belated birthdays so they gave us churros which were good and came in perfect bite size. read more

The environment here is great. The location is picturesque. There are so many reasons to visit here. The location, the wine of course, the decor and set up. Just beautiful. The atmosphere is perfect for day drinking. My friend has a membership, so we were able to be seated upstairs on the 2nd level in the members' lounge. It felt like VIP getting in that elevator. I love the view from up there. I did not drink the wine but from what I saw, the pours were very generous. The property is well kept. It is beautiful and modern with an extremely accommodating staff. Our group had a wonderful time. I will definitely visit this winery again so I can get the full experience. read more

When we first pulled in I felt a bit like we were in Napa. Very modern building that is more restaurant than tasting room. The place was packed with wall-to-wall people at 3pm on a Saturday. Outdoors was packed as well, we stood out there and drank a glass. Not a lot of shade. Our friends are members so we were able to go up to the members lounge after a one hour wait. Much more chill up there. On to the wines: Luna Mia was an outstanding, crisp white blend with a bit of body. Perfect for a hot day. Burlington Elegante is an interesting red blend that's mostly montepulciano. It was bold and interesting yet drinkable without much fuss. Food: Spanish meat flatbread was on point topped with spicy sausage. Empanadas were surprisingly delicious. All in a fun outing. Parking sucks, be prepared for dirt/gravel and a bit of walking. read more

I've been to a handful of wineries in Temecula and this ranks amongst my favorites! It was super busy on Memorial Day Weekend and they had no availability at the restaurant. We were lucky to snag a spot in the grass area right as someone was leaving. There was live music and the vibes were good. I also liked that they had a more extensive drink list then most the wineries I've been to. If I came back I'd probably try to get a reservation and eat there too! Highly recommend. read more

This review is for the food. This was my first time here and was sadly highly disappointed by the sea bass dish. It was overcooked, causing it to be so dry, and it was very salty with some bites. I only ended up maybe eating half of it, unfortunately, due to needing substance. My drink was tasty, but a little too sweet. I got the peach and mint sangria. The service, on the hand, was great and everyone was so nice and friendly. The view was also nice. The patio area we were sitting in had a nice view, however, it was a little chilly out. read more

love this place , but that day their espresso machine is not working ugh! Food was fantastic. The mains were pretty large serving. I wasn't hungry when we got there So the ceviche was the best option for me. And it was fantastic. As well as the Brussels sprouts . Normally you're able to make reservations at the restaurant online. For some reason it was not an option that day. So we had to walk in. Little did we know it was Palm Sunday. So there were tons of kids running around. I think they pick and choose kids days. Cause my friend had brought a baby in a stroller that was sleeping and was told they can't be there. But this day the kids were running all over. So I would recommend just calling before. The wine was pretty good. I don't usually drive all the way up here, but for this view and wine tasting experience, it makes the drive worth it. Place is huge and very pretty with plenty of seats. As soon as you walked in, there is an elevator to the left, which would take you to the second floor, for the members lounge only. It is a really beautiful lounge but make sure to bring a sweater because it gets chilly later in the afternoon. We were finishing up around 6:40 PM when we notice a bunch of people with their blankets and thick jackets walking towards the projector screen at the first floor getting ready for an outdoor free movie night, that was really cool. If we came prepared with our blankets too to keep us warm we would've stayed longer and watched too. Wines are very nice however it is a little pricey starting from $15 a glass for a Chardonnay and price ranges from $23 and up per glass for the Reds. read more

Went to Altisma today with a member for a nice birthday lunch. I ordered the $32 mimosa flight, and it was four somewhat large jars of warm fruit juice, with basically undetectable sparkling wine. I had a conversation with the server, and she was not helpful at all. Basically asked me if I wanted to order something else. Did not offer to fix it. I wanted the mimosa flight that I've been looking forward to. I ended up ordering TWO MORE glasses of sparkling wine (one of which was totally flat) to try to make mimosas, and I still had flat juice with a mild wine taste. What kind of winery does not know how to mix a mimosa? That was annoying, but then we got our food. The "tomato soup" tasted like very thick (the spoon stands up in it) pasta sauce that was uncomfortably spicy. No difference between the tomato soup and pasta sauce I had on my seafood pasta. My dad, who never complains about anything, said his tomato soup was too spicy to eat. We asked the server to bring us some cream or something to cut the soup, and she did so, which was helpful. I poured the leftovers on my pasta to eat later. The fish of the day, seabass, was overcooked, but the risotto was decent. All this to say, when you pay a little extra, you expect decent quality. Altisima does not seem to care. If it weren't for my friend's membership, I would never go to Altisima again. read more

We came here for the first time from a recommendation. We recently broke up with our other winery and have been shopping around! Our must haves are as follows...bold reds, good social events and overall a place that values and appreciates their members! Well all three boxes were checked! We enjoyed the tasting and Connor was exceptional at his wine knowledge and overall appreciation for transparency about what is offered in coordination with what we looking for as potential members. They have 2 tiers of membership. Both a great value so we look forward to finding out more details. We don't get to try the food but the service and ambiance was quite exceptional! Been here many times and Hands down still my favorite winery in Temecula! The beautiful views of the vineyards on top of the hill are breathtaking. Love it so much brought 3 different groups of friends and purchased the membership. It can get pretty busy on the weekends and appreciated the ride in nice clothes from the top of the overflow parking lot down to the main area and the driver was so friendly he let us ladies take a quick peak in the wine barrel room. There is a new chef and they added some new delicious items. The beef empanadas are my favorite appetizer. There are also 3 items only offered Friday-Monday. We tried the sea bass and the Rib eye which were cooked to perfection. The sangria flight is so refreshing and my favorite is the peach sangria. The service is welcoming at Gaspars and the membership lounge. JT was our server at Gaspars and he made sure to take are of all of our employees we brought for one of the appreciation dinners we had at Gaspars. Love the thought and detail in the service from JT to the hostess and servers in the members lounge. Cannot wait to sip another sangria. read more

Amazing service as 12 of us arrive an hour later than our reservation and they still had the ability to drive service and wine to everybody satisfaction. The many settings that provide is awesome. Beautiful venue but the service was left much to be desired. Four of us decided to come here for wine tasting. It was quiet when we arrived to the tasting room and there were two staff behind the bar. They saw us walking towards them but didn't greet or acknowledge us. We got to the bar and the staff had their backs turned. We waited thinking that they were perhaps busy. But then they went over to other customers standing further away and spoke with them and continued to ignore our group. At one point we even left the bar to see if someone else could serve us. We eventually got our tastings started ($30 per person). While we enjoyed some of their wines and the outdoor views, the lack of service left a sour note for us. read more

Altisima Winery / Gaspar's Restaurant is consistently a fantastic experience. The serving staff is exceptional - JT, Mike M, and Angeline are all wonderful (honestly not a bad one in the bunch). The outdoor patio is beautiful, with stunning rolling hill views and endless blue skies that make you want to linger for hours. Food is excellent across the board - the Spanish grilled cheese and truffle fries are perfect if you're feeling indulgent, while the braised beef with garlic mashed potatoes is incredibly satisfying. Pro tip: stop by the tasting room before eating. Jay and Ty, longtime wine servers at Altisima, make the experience especially fun and welcoming. read more

One of my top 3 Port wine experiences. I was there before the release of Dona Dulce NV, and they said we can sell you a bottle. It is fantastic. They took the step to ask the owner or manager if it can happen. That is what makes you feel special in a situation. I go for the ports, though I love wine in general. My first time here and I ended up signing up to be a member, so that tells you how great it was! The staff is all so friendly and helpful. The brewery is a beautiful spot with so much outdoor seating and can accommodate large parties. They had live music on Sunday which brings the entire atmosphere together. My favorite wines during the tasting included the El Rey and the Sauvignon Blanc. They also serve sangrias outside, my favorite being the Peach Mint! read more

This winery is amazing. The views of the mountains were spectacular. My girlfriend who lives in Temecula took me here and said this will be our first stop of wineries. We ended up staying here for hours. We sat outside the entire time to listen to the live band. If you want drinks or food, you will need to order inside. Seating is first come basis. Howard and Roxy are always providing wonderful service and insightful information regarding GB's wines and food pairings. Typically, the tastings include varietals grown at the estate, such as Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Roussanne, with other varietals sourced from Temecula vineyards. They also offer three (3) wonderful dessert wines made from Primitivo grapes (standard, vanilla, and mocha flavors). These are a little lighter than most Port or Port-style and Late Harvest dessert wines. Each tasting comes with a small package of baked bread sticks or gourmet chips for wine clique members, and recently they've offered pre-made charcuterie trays. I always preface my winery reviews by saying that wine tasting is subjective to the individual's palate, service is not. The wines I like/dislike, you may hate/love. I always suggest that you try and decide for yourself. There's a large indoor tasting room, as well as a large, covered patio offering great views of the surrounding vineyards, hills, and neighboring wineries. They also have a separate area away from the tasting facility that hosts weddings and other events. I can't recommend Gershon Bachus highly enough for fantastic wines and great service.

They burned the first one and had to bring us a replacement. Ironically, that ended up being the only thing we ate that actually had any flavor. For the amount of money we spent, the food was shockingly mediocre at best. The atmosphere is unique, but a cool cave can't make up for bad food and overpriced menu items. Overall, a huge disappointment. Save your money and eat somewhere else.

There was no effort to make it enjoyable or welcoming--just a lot of attitude and disinterest. It made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. A wine tasting is supposed to be fun and engaging, but her behavior completely ruined the vibe. Definitely not the kind of service you expect, and I will never, ever go back because of this experience.

Tiffany, our main contact & their principal coordinator, let us know ahead of time that she wouldn't be present the day of the wedding, but to rest assured, because she had 2 other coordinators that would take care of the day. He was very knowledgeable about the different varieties of grapes on the vineyard and was also able to describe how the vines grow, are trained, and pruned. He also explained the bottling process to us. After the tour, we returned to the tasting area where we met Kyle. He was doing a great job managing a bachelorette party. Both Kyle and Hunter kept it light and professional. The vineyard offered a great deal on a case of wine. Luckily, we drove out so we have a case to take home. I would recommend this place.

I recently had a truly disappointing experience at Altisima Winery, and I feel compelled to share my negative review. My family and I have been loyal members of Altisima Winery since they first opened their doors. We've always enjoyed bringing our kids along and spending quality time on the patio and in the grassy area. However, our most recent visit for a friend's 40th birthday celebration left a sour taste in our mouths. To start with, I made a reservation for lunch well in advance and never received any indication that there might be an issue with having children present. When we arrived and spent over $800 on food and wine, we were repeatedly bombarded with complaints about our kids being on the premises. The staff's attitude was not only rude but also disrespectful. After lunch, we decided to relax with a glass of wine and take in the beautiful view while capturing some memorable pictures. Shockingly, we were confronted by three separate individuals who told us our kids needed to leave the area. In fact, their suggestion was for the kids to sit out in front of the winery by themselves! This was not only unacceptable but also completely unsafe. I understand that Altisima Winery may want to create a more adult-oriented atmosphere, but the way they handled the situation was nothing short of appalling. Their approach to addressing the presence of children was utterly embarrassing and humiliating. I had previously recommended this winery to our friends, but after this experience, I can confidently say that I have no desire to return to Altisima Winery ever again. In conclusion, Altisima Winery's treatment of us, loyal customers of many years, was unacceptable. Their lack of professionalism and their disrespectful approach to dealing with children on their premises has tarnished my view of this establishment. I sincerely hope they reconsider their policies and learn to treat their customers with the respect they deserve. Until then, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Altisima Winery to anyone. read more

My husband and I enjoyed ourselves immensely in Temecula Valley this past Memorial Day, booking Altisima's Tour Elevado ahead of time. We learned about the area and land, the vines, winemaking, trying an almost ready wine, and then sitting out on the balcony drinking five of their good wines paired with five tasty cheeses and the most yummy fig-jalapeño jam (with surprisingly no bite/heat to it!). Extraordinary views! Their Muscato took us by surprise as we generally do not like them but this one is not super sweet and more flavorful. A bottle came home with us:) Ty was our personable and experienced guide throughout the tour - a keeper! The winery is only a one hour scenic drive from San Diego and it was well worth it. Plus, there is a loop of 40+ wineries in this valley and lots of horse farms if you want to spend more time up there. But Altisima had top notch service and is known as having one of three best restaurants. read more

Altísima Winery is a beautiful spot with great wine and an overall enjoyable atmosphere. The views and setting alone make it worth the visit, and the tasting experience was relaxed and well-paced. A big highlight of our visit was Jay. He was welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive without being overbearing. Jay took the time to explain the wines, answer questions, and made sure our group felt taken care of throughout the experience. His professionalism and positive energy really elevated the visit. While there's always room for small improvements, the quality of the wine and the service we received--especially from Jay--made for a very good experience overall. We came by 11 am to enjoy the music and enjoy some good company. Unfortunately the umbrella that we got was badly accommodated and it kept turning sideways giving shade to everyone around our group except where we were sitting. We were a big group with kids. I tried to accommodate it myself to not bother anyone since I have the same umbrella at home. They sent a security guard to tell me not to touch the umbrella. I told them I knew what was wrong with it and they didn't care. They they called the managers and one guy named "Elliot" came to tell me I couldn't touch the umbrella. Even when I offered myself to fix it he didn't want to even listen to me and just threw a fit. Music was great, wine so so, staff really really sucks. read more

This winery is AMAZING. The customer service alone is enough to make you want to come back. My husband and I joined the wine club due to the amazing service Connor gave us in the tasting room the first time we visited the winery. Fast forward to our experience yesterday we were possibly going to be late for our reservation and Aspen helped tremendously and was very kind on the phone. When we got to the winery of course it was packed and busy but Amber (hostess) was so sweet and accommodating. Michele was our server in the lounge and checked in on our party several times to make sure we didn't need anything and was so sweet. I had such a wonderful experience at this winery! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious -- beautifully presented and full of flavor, pairing perfectly with the wines. I went a lot of times at altisima winery. Everything is so nice and beautiful. We went to celebrate our 1st anniversary with my husband in june 2021 and since that this winery is my favorite place in temecula. Especially for the manager Crystal, she is so nice, she is smilling all the time and she is taking care of the customer. I went to the gala too and everything was amazing. I am already married but I recommend this place for a wedding or any other events. The staff is nice, the food is really good and the place is so cute and perfect for a instagram post! We had the BEST experience at Altisima Winery thanks to our waiter Jay! From the moment we sat down, he was completely on top of everything--attentive without being overbearing, quick with every request, and genuinely kind the entire time. Jay made us feel so welcome and taken care of, like we were his top priority even though the place was busy. Our glasses were never empty, everything came out perfectly timed, and he had such a warm, friendly energy that made the whole experience even more special. I recently visited Altísima Winery and was absolutely blown away by the entire experience. Nestled in the rolling hills, this place is a true escape from the everyday. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a beautiful panoramic view of the vineyards. The staff especially Denise is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their wines. We enjoyed a private tasting with a variety of their most popular selections. Date: 3/22/24 Ambiance: it was raining the day I attended the winery but the ambiance was nice. Open environment you can hear everyone's convo and laughter. Price: $$$ Charcuterie board $35 Bread $10 Service; below par. It was raining. Leo is an asshole waiter. He follower me around and assured I couldn't put my board down. When I finally did my drink was removed, it was a full glass. The concierge star also a bitch. Management really needs to purge staff. Overall prices are winery prices but Altisima is not worth the visit cause if the staff. read more

Connor made our afternoon! He was a wealth of knowledge for tasting notes and new vintage releases, was friendly and fun, and helped us navigate our wine pickups with whatever substitutions we wanted (definitely a selling point for Altisima's wine club!). We let him know we had a lunch reservation across the street, and he got us in and out efficiently, while also making sure we got the most of our membership perks. We came back after lunch! Altisima Winery in Temecula wine country provided a wonderful experience for an early lunch on the Memorial Day holiday. Our waitress, Shanice, was friendly, patient and professional. She was the highlight, as well as the food. Try the parmesan fries and grilled cheese sandwich - THE BEST! The view and outdoor ambiance is incredible. Overall, the winery is very classy. It's a nice addition to our Temecula wine country and is a recommended stop along anyone's wine tasting route. read more
