No matter what tome of day you pop in. You're always treated like family... Sit wherever you like and enjoy the service with a smile and you listen to some rocking tunes and sip on some yummy spirits and dine on delicious eats.

Fun night of BINGO!! Enjoyed by the CROWD. Of course the food was great too! We also lucked out and hit Happy Hour!! Mia was a Fantastic server. I had the BLT which was delish and the homemade chips. The others enjoyed the Philly Cheesesteak on a Gluten Free bun and a Beautiful Chef's Salad with Grilled Chicken. No pics too hungry.

Great sports bar, we were able to easily find a seat for the second round games. Had 2 moxy mules. One was heavier on the ginger beer than the other but they both tasted good. Nachos on tri colored chips were yummy with the chicken. Hubs had a hot dog he liked. Enough TVs to see all the games but have to look around the room. Good service. Recommend.

Solid wings, cold beers (big selection!), and TVs everywhere. Exactly what you'd expect as you walk into Dog and Duck. Specifically, we enjoyed the hot buffalo hot wings, bbq wings, wedges, and the $10 burger special. Although we didn't request any specific game, we saw the bartenders and servers switching channels to accommodate nearby tables. Very cool. We appreciate ALL the Chucktown/Mt. P restaurants that maintain a reasonable price point and create a fun (local) atmosphere. Service was warm, chill, and attentive. Great place to watch a game and catch up with a friend(s).

    Fish & Chips with Coleslaw

We went back to the Dog and Duck after visiting a friend in the hospital. Saw that their dish they were known for was fish & chips. For a bit of info, I had sworn off fish & chips in the States. Once you have had it across the Pond this side seems to fall short. Their Fish & Chips was pretty good. Breading was light and fish was flaky. Was not one large piece of fish, but done in pieces. Instead of mushy peas, they give you coleslaw. Their coleslaw is very good. Really enjoyed our second visit to this location.

Very cute local bar !! Food was fresh and delicious!! Fish nuggets- A+++ Onion rings were great!! You can tell by the company at the bar, this is were the locals hang out and talk about the happening around town. Not gonna lie , we need to go back k for a hotdog for sure.

    Fried grouper bites!

We were looking for a casual, no stress place to grab a late lunch/early dinner and decided to check out the popular Mount Pleasant D&D located in the Belle Hall Shopping Center on Long Point Road. We arrived at 4:00 pm. Though there's lots of umbrella'd seating on the patio, everyone was inside due to the heat. It was already crowded and let's say, energetic. There was a sign to seat ourselves and we selected a nice corner table. Randy immediately approached us with menus and offered us water while we reviewed the selections. Hub chose a signature beer. I stayed with water. Hub wanted the fried grouper bites ($9.79) as a starter. I expected the preparation to be lightly battered per the menu; however, disappointingly for me, they arrived heavily battered with an accompanying 'spicy' Cajun remoulade that was underwhelming. While way outside my dietary comfort zone, I could not pass ... lol. The bites were hot, fresh and crispy with surprisingly no grease. The fish was flavorful and moist. OK, they were mighty tasty! My Chef Salad ($13.79) was fabulous and large ... a real 'dinner salad' ... clearly, a winner. It was comprised of generous portions of julienned ham, thinly sliced fresh turkey, bacon (always wish there was more) and sliced hard boiled egg served on a bed of very fresh greens with diced tomatoes and a mix of shredded cheeses. As there was no low fat dressing, and I had already overindulged on the fried grouper bites, I went for the 1000 Islands Dressing (on the side, of course). The jury is still out on my husband's Yetiburger ($13.99). It was different, prepared as a sandwich on grilled sourdough bread, rather than on a roll. It seemed smaller than 1/2 lb., as described, but the Certified Angus beef was tasty, topped with apple smoked bacon, pepper Jack cheese, sliced tomato and barbecue sauce. Hub thought the meat should have been hotter. I thought the entire preparation should have been built higher (read: bigger). As presented, it looked like a sandwich that one would prepare at home (but messier). The order came with a nice sized portion of seasoned fries. They were fresh, crispy and while nothing special, they were better than meh. Throughout the meal, Randy checked on us several times which is always appreciated. The food was fine; the prices, fair; the service, excellent ... not always easy to find these days! We'll be back, soon, for sure!

    Philly cheesesteak and German jojos
    Matt S.

Staple joint for the neighborhood. Always has tasty specials and regular menu items. Went with the Philly cheesesteak and it was delicious. I always get the german jojos as a side because they're awesome. Service is always quick. Beers are cold and plenty of option. Tons of TV's with your game playing. Good place to hang out. Just recently renovated their outdoor area for a better seating too

While this is definitely not unheard of and is to be expected, especially with busier restaurants, it's the way the staff handled the situation that has prompted me to write this review and never come back. I recently placed an online pick up order which was supposed to be ready in around 20 minutes or so. After about 30 minutes I walked in and casually asked for an update on the status of my order, not being combative at all. One of the employees checked in the back and told me that the kitchen was very busy and I also overheard another woman in an annoyed tone quickly pass by me and state that it would be at least another 15 minutes. Since, this wasn't said directly to me, I decided to wait by the pick up area off to the side. As I was waiting, an employee came up to me and stated that it would be at least another 15 minutes and I had stated, okay no problem I will wait. Here is the thing. I know the kitchen was busy and I know it was a Friday night, I totally get it. However, at no time did an employee say thank you for waiting or address the extended wait time which was about 40 or 45 minutes, around double the original pick up time. If this simple thing would have been done, this would not have been an issue at all but it just exemplifies bad customer service.

It was easy & we loved our lunches! I chose the double smash burger which was so delicious and filling! Loved it! Hubs chose the Cobb chicken salad and he loved it! Ate every bite & reports that the chicken was fried perfectly without too many clumps or batter lumps. We would absolutely come back for brunch items! A group of about 8 of us went out for drinks Saturday (5/2/26). We were having a great time (respectful, quiet, not causing a problem). Last call hit at 1:30 so we decided one more drink before we went our ways home. 10 mins later we're were asked to leave the courtyard and head inside - not a problem. We will finish our drinks inside. 5 minutes after that, we were asked to take our last sips and leave. 15 mins before the posted closing time. Again, we weren't causing a problem, weren't loud, weren't disruptive. This was a group of 8, most of us well into our 40s (or older). But they were telling all guests to leave at 1:45a?? Just after we bought drinks? The posted hours say they close at 2a. Not 1:45a. Most of us left half finished drinks. The large bouncer was nice enough, the tiny one in a hoodie with glasses was totally unprofessional. So beware. The Blind Tiger has what it takes to remain a Charleston institution. Their staff, might ruin that chance.
