I was afraid this wouldn't be possible without fear based training, but LOTP was able to train him in a loving, non-fear based environment. As testament, when I picked my pup up after training was done and his initial excitement to see me had passed, he was back to playing with the owner/trainer like they were best friends. I strongly recommend taking advantage of the packages they offer, as my pup was SO excited to spend a weekend with them for follow up training. As soon as we arrived at the house my dog could hardly wait to get out of the car and be back with the owner. I highly, highly recommend LOTP. I love my pup more than anything and made the right choice in sending him there. If traditional classes didn't work for you, you're scared about leaving your dog in the hands of someone else, and you're nervous they're going to change the good in your dog's personality to make him behave, don't be. It is worth every penny, and can give you a life with your pup that you didn't think possible, without the use of fear or trauma or pain like you see in other training/militant facilities. LOTP changed my family's life for the better and can do the same for yours, too. Perks: They set your dog up with a personalized page for you to visit complete with updates, videos, and pictures, so you can track your dog's progress. I was given the chance to practice certain skills with Mark's own dogs and was given homework to work on over the next couple weeks. Our dog, Shaka, just loved spending time with her and the other pups she cared for. We were a little worried at first about his temperament being around others (humans and other animals) since he gets a little skittish, but he seemed to thrive there. When it was pick-up time, he was always happy and seemed to sleep very well from getting his exercise and socialize in. (He also smelled great on his longer stays. Thank you for the baths!) Jen is super flexible and communicative. We were so appreciative of this since we tend be rather spontaneous and would ask to drop him off the day before sometimes. We also would extend his stay last minute, for example, when we were taking road trips and wanted to stop for the night instead of driving all the way through a town. (Sorry and thank you so much, Jen!) Shaka has stayed over from one day to two weeks (possibly more), and each time, we've received text updates from her and even pictures of him happy with his friends. I always looked forward to those. Shaka passed away early last year, and I've been meaning to write this for a long time to say, "Thank you, Jen!" for being such a wonderful caregiver and trustworthy and friendly person overall. After a successful meet and greet and then practice overnight, he was given the green light. During the trip, we were able to see photos of him daily posted online, which was fun to see what he was up to. Upon pick up, I could see he didn't lose weight, and came back well adjusted, healthy, and happy! I know Unleashed Dog Boarding gave him attention every day too. The owner asked us to bring our dog (a 12 year old male miniature schnauzer) over to meet her dogs, because she needs to know our dog will get along with her dogs. So far, so good. Our dog, while far from perfect, loves other dogs. He loves other dogs so much that at TWO of his past doggie daycares, they used him as the test dog to see if other dogs would fit in. He has gone all the way up through advanced obedience classes, has learned circus tricks, and has competed in agility. He even used to work as a therapy dog, visiting long term care homes. He has never been aggressive towards anyone, much less another dog. He is more likely to play himself to death with them. After he met the owner's dogs (which my husband thought had gone just fine), she let me know she was uncertain if he and her older male lab got along. She wanted our dog to stay for a night at her house while we were still in town to find out if they were compatible. This seemed like a lot of effort, but, okay, I can understand being cautious. We took him to her place (at the cost of $50) and left him there for a night. The next day, my husband picked him up and she did not say a word to him about what had gone on. We assumed that meant we were good to go. We had already made reservations with her for our upcoming vacation, WELL in advance of the time we would be out of town. With less than a week before we were due to leave town, the owner contacted me to let me know that she had another male dog staying with her and she would need us to bring our dog back to her house again to see if our dog got along with this other dog. Seriously? What was she going to do if they did not get along? It seemed glaringly unprofessional to tell someone with less than a week notice that you are not sure if our dog (a much beloved family member) would be acceptable to stay with her when the rest of the family is about to leave on vacation. Talk about stress inducing. The owner's continued suspicion that our dog will be aggressive towards other dogs was unfounded and, frankly, offensive. We have found other, better options for boarding our little guy. I guess if you have a female dog or a young pup, this might be a good choice for you. The yard she has for dogs to run in is wonderful, and they have lovely little beds to sleep in all around the house. If you have a male dog, especially an older male dog, be forewarned you might want to look elsewhere.

Their dog shared some of the same issues as my dog Loki, including marked difficulty with cooperative care. He was absolutely terrified of just walking into the vet, and was so distressed during physical exams, vaccinations, and labs that he would urinate on himself and attempt to bite staff out of fear. Prior to calling Noble Woof, I had already completed a year of group classes covering multiple other skills at another dog training business. Although these other skills were great and helped with solidifying my bond with Loki through training, I still overall felt defeated and hopeless and like a horrible dog owner, wondering if someone else could do a better job Calling Noble Woof was the best decision I ever made. Brie, who is also the owner, shared that she specialized in cooperative care, and offered to take Loki and I as clients, and so we have had the honor of working with her the last 4 months after signing up for the Ghost Pepper package, which I think now is the Gold Package. Brie is patient, kind, incredibly thorough, and her knowledge of dog behavior and specifically cooperative care training is amazing. It is obvious how much time and thoughtfulness she takes when reviewing the homework videos I submit, and her feedback is always easy to understand. She does a great job of responding to questions I have in a timely manner and does her best to accommodate my schedule when planning tutoring and trainings. One caveat to this is that I'm a huge planner and think we scheduled many of our sessions several months out. With Brie's help and guidance, Loki has made such major improvements, and it is a bonus that he absolutely loves Brie, and you can tell how much Brie loves dogs. Another benefit I wasn't expecting is that as his confidence is improving around the cooperative care, this confidence seems to be rolling over to other areas of working with him, which has been great! My cute and cuddly pug puppy goes crazy when she's outside her comfort zone, so it's been extremely challenging for my husband and I to integrate her into our highly social lives. I'm not sure if I can fully express how grateful I am for the guidance I received from Christina and Jackson during their six-week group class. The experience has really exceeded my expectations! Starting out, I had no idea how to navigate my dog's reactive behavior, but from day one Christina and Jackson welcomed us with open arms and understanding. Their warmth and genuine love for their work set the tone for what turned out to be an incredibly rewarding experience. Over the last six weeks of training, our guides demonstrated positive reinforcement behavior modification techniques, and were patient and supportive during some really challenging moments. I'm thrilled with the progress my pup and I made during the last six weeks. Don't get me wrong, this course wasn't an instant fix. My puppy still has embarrassing moments that make me realize there's more work to do, but I no longer feel hopeless. I see her responding positively to the techniques we learned in class, which reinforces the belief that continued improvement is not only possible but inevitable.
