Puppy daycare has been so great for my dog to learn how to socialize and constantly work on cues while having fun with her puppy friends. The report cards that they send everyday are my favorite! These people are a above terrific! I have an illness that keeps me from being active with my dog and these people give her everything that I can't. They have a pick up and return option which I greatly appreciated, it made day car possible for my dog since I don't do much driving. At the end of each day, you get a "report card" for your dog that includes both photos and a narrative of what your pup's day was like. The women who work here are obviously dog lovers, and they make sure each dog gets lots of personal attention. Each day includes a walk of some kind, usually to fun places that the dogs don't normally get to experience. The dogs are not confined to cages, they have lots of open indoor space if the weather isn't good for outside activity. The dogs are never left alone without one of the staff being with them. Needed to write this review to let others know our true experience. My puppy was going here when covid first started & there was not many dogs. This is my first time using a doggy day care & everything and people especially Taylor-such a sweetheart was awesome. I would pick up my puppy and he was tired when i got home. I built a good relationship with staff/etc. It was awesome because i could just drop off my dog between certain time and because my husband and I are both front line healthcare workers this worked out so great! We live about 25 min away without 68 traffic & i still didn't mind the drive because this place was great. Then in beginning of june-July everyone back to work etc & i noticed a lot more dogs & leashes hanging. The lady katie was sending out these rules that need cannot drop off dogs no longer & have to in advance schedule days for our puppy. I was late one day to pick my puppy, traffic on road picked up etc. I believe i was 6-10 min late. Traffic on 68 is so unpredictable. I arrived and the door was shut .... katie was upset and rudely confronted me why im late that she has online classes and it not acceptable. Seriously?! I stated its only 6 min and i live 30 min etc away and traffic. She understood but let me know again that i have to pick up my dog @ 530 -on the dot! I was really surprised because who is on the dot on time plus they are closing early 530 when there regular hours was 7pm. I also heard other dogs barking in back-round in facility. One day following this i was at work and about 536 she texted me if everything was ok-again i am a front line worker- my husband was picking my puppy up this day and they have his number to call. She texted again and said we are going to keep your puppy overnight and it will be 100 dollars. And i can pick up in Am. I let them know i was at work and husband on way to pick up, to call him. She told me i need to do that and how far he is. My husband arrived @ 543. During this time i was very apologetic. This is an inconvenience to me especially when i let her know i was at work. I was never previously informed about having to be on time nor did i sign anything. After these two instances i noticed my puppy had scratch marks on him and would be not be tired when i brought him home. I was not able to schedule him for day care, they said they were at max capacity and the people who have memberships have priority over me. I also scheduled my puppy for 1-1 behavior training with katie which was 125 & she did not even smile -she just kept giving my puppy treats and lecturing me on what to do, making references to if your husband does everything right but one thing is wrong - don't focus on that and checking her watch for the time and saying our time is almost. Seriously who is paying who? This is now beginning of July and the covid was spreading more in our area so being front line workers, this is just additional non needed stress. So we decided to find another day care for our puppy that would accommodate us and im so glad we did because other places are definitely more accommodating and even work with our schedule to open earlier & late!!! I am writing this now in August when we have had a chance to reflect on what our experience was and to inform others of how controlling Katie is. I was refunded my 125 for class and she said she will miss my puppy. read more

I love this place. I adopted a very fearful dog and started taking him here to socialize. They were very patient with him and now he is so excited when I drop him off. I love that they take such good care of him and the socializing has help decrease his fear (still fearful, but easier to overcome). read more

Katie cares and has provided guidance on my pets over the years that helps with behavioral issues. The entire staff is responsible and caring taking the extra time to send a photo, take out the trash or leave a kind written message about their visit. This place is tops! Katie and team are wonderful, caring people with great dog knowledge and experience. I feel comfortable leaving my two pups with them while I go to work, knowing that they are in a safe, stimulating environment with plenty of good company. Katie really cares about the dogs. She has spent many a pickup time working with my dog (and me) to help her to stop jumping on me as a greeting and has offered tons of great training and care advice. I have also attended Katie's puppy pre-k classes, which I highly recommend. She does an incredible job training the people (us) to work with our pups and build a strong relationship based on mutual trust. Final update: We were happy with this place for the longest time. However, things changed and we were getting information that our dog was becoming aggressive and they didn't want to risk anyone getting hurt. I was concerned because we never witnessed the "aggressive behavior". Pretty much was excused from participating in daycare services. The business grew and more dogs of various sizes were in attendance. My guy got along with dogs of all sizes but since we left daycare (about 6-7 months ago) he is not a fan of larger dogs. No aggressive behavior has been witnessed by new daycare and/or pet sitter. We have also enlisted the help of a SPCA trainer and the trainers have seen as increase of customers wanting assistance for their dog's behavior after attending this doggy daycare. The owners and employees are great and knowledgeable, I still miss the report cards. The set up of this daycare just doesn't work for all dogs, those that are successful in attendance are in good hands. Older review: I was ecstatic when I found out about this doggy day care that was referred to me by a dog trainer. The hours of operation work wonderfully and if you are in a pinch, they even pick up! Upon passing the assessment, our dog was signed up for weekly visits. Nice knowing our furkid is safe and being mentally/physically stimulated. Our dog has learned some good manners, such as waiting before entering a entryway. Looking for a place to take your furry friend? Take a look at Peace of Mind, this place will not disappoint. Previous Update: Casper still loves this place and so do we! Lately we have utilized the transportation services to and from daycare with no concern. We trust the employees but most of all, our son trusts them! I still look forward to his report cards and pictures from the day's activities. Our puppy started here when we had had him for only a month. Over the last 7 months my husband and I, as well as our pup of course, have learned so much. The staff at Doggy Daycare is hands down some of the best staff I have worked with in my years of owning dogs. Katie is very knowledgable and will take her time to chat with us or send detailed emails with ideas to help with training our pup, Stella . Stella can be hesitant with people but she literally runs in the door when I drop her off in the mornings! Katie has been our pet sitter for almost 6 months now, She does overnight visits for us (the longest was about 12 days) and she comes in once a week when we both have an obligation after work that prevents us from getting home in time... we couldn't be more happy. We have a very old, very grumpy little dog that cannot be placed in a kennel and often needs to go out in the middle of the night. For a very reasonable rate, Katie does overnight stays... we were so comfortable with her that she stayed with our dog during a recent trip to Asia. We were gone for almost 2 weeks. We came back to the house exactly as we had left it, the dog was happy, the mail had been checked and everything was in order. She has a key to our home and I generally communicate with her by text and email. She is very responsive and on more than one occasion come by to walk our pet with very short notice. That's the command for EVERY dog to come to the wall that has an array of leashes positioned for a fast and organized evacuation of daycare should the need arise! Just recently got a GS puppy and the first thought even before getting her was training. I work at a vet clinic and didn't even realize we had flyers for this Doggy Day Care so I did a little more research and signed up for their puppy preschool. A couple hours later I got contacted by Taylor and we got everything set for the classes. Wow! I love their philosophy of really trying to make it a positive experience for the pet. Katie and Taylor were so great with my Kaia and really worked with me on working on our bond of owner and companion. Another long overdue review: We inherited 4 cats from my mother-in-law and because our schedule was hectic as we went between residences, we depended on Katie and her Peace of Mind staff to provide round-the-clock care for our pets - even while we were in residence. The staff was dependable and responsive to all our needs and concerns. They were very sensitive to medical issues one of our cats had, and promptly let us know when extra care was needed - even taking our cat to the vet once! They also grabbed extra supplies as needed. We can't recommend Peace of Mind highly enough. They were our Peace of Mind for 2 years straight! (Until we moved.) read more

I am sorry to read the review about the wall accident as I own my own property management business and I know how these things happen and I hope it does get resolved to the reviewers satisfaction. My experience has been nothing but excellent. My puppy loves to go to doggy day care and as soon as we drive into the parking lot her tail is wagging and she cannot wait to get in to meet her friends. The walks each day to the ocean are wonderful and I love getting the report cards with photos every day around lunch. I have the ability to bring my puppy with me to work ( I was finding I was not getting alot done because she wants to play all day) and so I really believe she is actually better off at the day care getting in her socializing time with all her friends. We were on vacation in the area with our dogs but needed to spend a day without the kids. We did a temperament test the day before and everyone was happy and explained that one of our dogs has epilepsy and may have a seizure during his stay. Katie was understanding and knowledgeable about how to care for him if a fit came (basically watch and do nothing - it's just unsettling is all) and we were super appreciative of her acceptance of that. Seizure dog is chill, the other dog is still a bit of a puppy and was sad to leave even just after the 15min temperament test. The next day for play day they knew where we were before we parked and were super happy to be there, even chill dog! When we picked them up they were tired and happy. The photo updates are fun. The pet sitter was nice, but used all of my food even though i had enough for when i got back. I returned late at night and had no food to give them that night or in the morning before stores opened. I also find their key return policy ridiculous. you cannot pick up you key, nor do they leave it on their last visit, instead you have to pay them $10 to drop off your key. they request 2 spare keys, i locked myself out of my house the day before my vacation and i called and emailed them to get one of my keys and they never bothered to respond. Nice sitter, ok service, not so nice company, will never use again. read more

Please hope that your dog never has a medical emergency and need to cancel your appointment, they have no mercy. DO NOT use this service if you love your dog that has a medical condition. Peace of Mind walkers either do not read the messages or ignores the messages in their system. On one occasion we put that our diabetic dog had to have his medication and be feed by 1900. Tiffany did not show up to the house until around 1930. With his diabetes he has to be on a strict schedule with his meds and his food (he gets his blood tested twice a day to make sure he is fine). Lucky for us our event ended early and found out he had not had his medication when we arrived. She was going to start their walk and then give his medication and food. We let her walk the boys instead of what we had asked/hired them to do after medicating and feeding him. On another occasion we put in their system that the dogs were to get no food to include treats because my diabetic dog was being fasted for a test. The walker ignored this and gave him food. We found this out when we read the notes section and called them about this. They had no excuse and we ended up having to scramble to make sure he could still have his blood work from a vet that comes down from Santa Cruz once a week. I would truly caution anyone that has a pet that they love that has medical conditions on the use of this service. This place has been an anxiety-tamer for me. My partner and I both travel a lot and I often wonder if he has left the cats alive and untrapped in a drawer or cabinet without checking before he leaves. I typically leave a day before he does and return a day after him, leaving the cats alone for several days in a row. He's left one in a dresser drawer before, so my anxiety heightened and I started looking around for a company that can check on the girls while we are gone. I love that they have the quick kitty checks- 20min- and they clean up messes and even put packages in our home that were on the front porch. Used Peace of Mind to check in on my cat while traveling recently. I was very happy with their service! First Katie came over for a visit with us at home. There were some forms to fill out about where to find everything, what to do in case of emergency, etc. While we were away someone stopped by every day, brought in our mail, freshened Lou's food and water bowls, scooped the catbox and played with Lou. They post an update after their visit on the website and even left more detailed handwritten notes at the house for us Quick responses to phone calls and e-mails as well.
