They told me when I made the appointment it would be 85.00 for a hair cut and it would take about 1 1/2 hours then 45 minutes after they started they called and said he had matts and they either had to shave him or it would be an extra $100.00 because it would take an extra 30 minutes to get the knots out. The second time they groomed my puppy they shaved her face making my beautiful teddy bear golden doodle look like a raccoon. Worse than the look they created is that now when I brush my teeth with my electric toothbrush she panics. I texted the company to tell them I was not happy with how they made her look and they didn't even have the courtesy to call me ,text me ,or apologize. $70.00 and traumatized my puppy. Naturally, like other reviewers, I'll start by noting I've been bringing my 9 year old Morkie here since she was a pup. I had tried other places and my dog looked like she had been suffering. On one occasion she even came back with TICKS. Finally, I came to Dog Charm and I couldn't have asked for a better groomer. My dog enters happy and leaves happier. They treat her and every dog with special care and attention. I usually run late when I pick her up and they have never battled or hesitated staying open 30 more minutes so I am able to pick her up As far as the grooming, she always looks great. Her hair is always soft and they always manage to get her white coat to look whiter...My dog looooves dirt....The cut is always perfect, her nails have never bled (which happened with Petco once), and her teeth are always brushed. They make it a personal goal to care for the dogs. I'm not very trusting when it comes to babysitting, so I usually take my dog with me...the only times I've left her at a pet hotel was in the care of Claudia and the Dog Charm team. I didn't want another day to go by without writing a review for the great team of groomers at Dog Charm Pet Grooming. I had previously tried another dog groomer and was left totally dissatisfied with the poor customer service and shabby treatment of my pets. With Dog Charm, it was so much better. From the initial phone call to their shop in order to schedule mobile grooming for my two dogs; to the phone call I received as they were getting close to my home; and, best of all, their incredibly compassionate care of my two skittish dogs. As you can see from my previous review, i've been getting my dog groomed at this place for quite some time. Since the very beginning, i've always requested that she be groomed by Claudia who is AMAZING, as I reviewed earlier. I've always requested Claudia because on one occasion I dropped off my dog and she was groomed by the owner instead (against my explicit wishes) who did a HORRENDOUS job. From then on I always made it clear that if Claudia wasn't available, I didn't want my dog groomed, at all. Unfortunately, Claudia only comes in on Saturdays now which was fine, until yesterday. My dog was chosen as a semi-finalist to be the spokesdog for Brickell Animal Hospital's marketing campaign and she had a photoshoot today. So, I called Dog Charm yesterday to ask if Claudia could possibly make an exception and come in to groom my dog today before the shoot since it was such a momentous occasion. I would have brought her in on Saturday, but found out about the photoshoot too late. If i'd been told Claudia could NOT come in, I would have taken my dog to the shoot as-is because she was groomed not too long ago (by Claudia), and she only needed a touch up as she still looked good. I was pleasantly surprised when we were told by the lovely receptionist that Claudia said she'd come in yesterday. We exchanged several phone calls and it was determined Lychee would be dropped off by noon so CLAUDIA could groom her at her convenience. My dog was dropped off and we were told she'd be ready by 4PM. When we showed up to pick her up we were dismayed to find the owner and a new male groomer slumped over my dog on the grooming table. The receptionist bowed her head in embarassment because she knew from past experience that i'd be livid to find that my dog was being groomed by someone other than Claudia, especially when i'd made it clear she needed to look as cute as she could for the photoshoot and the appointment was painstaikingly arranged according to Claudia's availability. We were immediately told by the owner that Claudia never showed up. So, basically they took it upon themselves to groom my dog without ever asking for permission. I later found out they knew Claudia was running late and unilaterally chose to groom her themselves before she came in. Needless to say, if they'd done a good job there'd be no need for this review. My adorable dog looks HORRIBLE. As a matter of fact, I don't think she's ever looked worse. I feel taken advantage of. Knowing my preferences, they should have called and told me Claudia was unavailable before taking it upon themselves to mangle my poor dog's appearance. Between the know-nothing owner who has no business owning a dog grooming business when she's the worst groomer ever, and her new employee who has personal conversations on his cell phone as he grooms defenseless animals, they ruined my dog's chances of winning the photo contest. It may not seem like a big deal, but I ended up paying my hard-earned money to have my dog turn out ugly. To make matters worse, when I called to complain they didn't even take my call. I was forced to call Claudia's cell directly and even after I expressed my extreme displeasure, management made absolutely NO effort to correct the situation or even contact me. I'm sorry my dog won't get to see Claudia anymore, but there is NO WAY I will EVER be bringing my dog back to this place. If there were any other venue I could turn to to vent my outrage aside from Yelp, I wouldn't hesitate to do so. I'm enraged at the fact that I was robbed of the ability to make a decision regarding my own pet and think this incident was extremely inappropriate. To make matters worse, I recently referred another shih tzu to this place, but my friend made the mistake of not asking for Claudia. Her allergy-prone dog was given a flea bath and my friend was never even notified. She too was very upset that she wasn't called for permission or even given notice. When she showed up to pick up her dog she was simply charged extra for the flea bath. She then incurred several vet bills to treat the poor dog's allergies. If you care at all about your pets, steer clear of this horrible place and its atrocious management! read more

I can't thank FRANZIA and the team at DOG CHARM enough! I have a miniature poodle who is my service dog. The last groomer traumatized him so much that he would not let us brush or groom him. I actually had to take him to the vet and get x-rays for his injured bladder. They had pushed down on him so hard and hurt him. FRANZIA and her team took the time to take my terribly frightened dog and wash him, blow dry,trim him and make him feel as comfortable as possible. They let me stand next to him to try to help him get over his fear Which is usually not recommended but in his case it was a necessity. He looks great and I can't thank her enough! I will continue to do the things my trainer told me to do to desensitize him to brushing and combing. They seem to be working. I've been bringing my dogs here for years and they always do a great job. My shiba inu and samoyed are always perfectly bathed, and they're the best groomers when it comes to my westies. I've used mobile groomers before who have no idea what a westie should look like, but Dog Charm always does a great job of making them look spot on. I have not used their services for over 6 month because my old pal' passed away. But I felt the need to leave a really good review. I've tried many different grooming services closer to downtown Miami, but none as good as Dog Charm! I preferred to drive the extra distance because I knew my pup would come out looking great! They treated my old dog really gentle and he would leave very happy. MUST USE THEIR TEETH CLEANING SERVICES! Its not your usual teeth brushing were you can't notice the difference. If your dog lets them handle their mouth they will leave the teeth spotless! I recommend Dog Charm to anyone that want a great groom, service and their puppies treated well! read more
